About the Role
Customer insights are a strategic asset at Tire Rack—and as a Senior Customer Insights Strategist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the voice of the customer informs high-impact business decisions across the organization.
This is a senior-level position designed for an experienced insights professional who can operate confidently at both the strategic and execution levels. You’ll partner closely with leaders across Marketing, Retail, Digital, and Web teams to shape priorities, uncover growth opportunities, and guide enterprise-level initiatives through customer-led thinking.
Based on-site at our South Bend headquarters, this role thrives on collaboration. We believe working closely across teams leads to stronger insights, faster alignment, and better outcomes for our customers and business.
What You’ll Do
Customer & Market Insights
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective research and learning strategies
- Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research to support strategic initiatives
- Leverage first-party, third-party, and custom research to identify customer, market, and industry trends
- Advocate for the Tire Rack customer perspective across the organization
Data Analysis & Strategy Development
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify opportunities, gaps, and growth trends
- Synthesize data and research findings into clear, actionable insights
- Connect insights to business strategy, helping teams make informed, customer-centric decisions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with UXR, Digital, Marketing, Retail, and Web teams to improve customer experience and performance
- Support enterprise initiatives by ensuring customer insights are embedded early and consistently
- Balance multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Executive Communication & Influence
- Develop compelling narratives that translate research into clear recommendations
- Present insights, findings, and strategic guidance to senior leaders and executive stakeholders
- Influence decision-making through thoughtful analysis, clarity, and strong customer advocacy
- We’re looking for a strategic, analytical, and confident insights leader who enjoys turning research into action and influencing business direction.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Experience applying both quantitative and qualitative research methods to real-world business decisions
- Familiarity with retail, digital, and advertising industry trends
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
- MBA preferred
- 5–7 years of experience in market research, customer insights, strategy, or a related discipline
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Tire Rack is unable to sponsor employment visas at this time)

Vacation Days and Holidays
You will accrue PTO on the last day of each month, for a total of sixteen (16) days per calendar year. Additional days are earned after four years of full-time service per the policy outlined in our employee handbook (maximum 26 days).
You will receive one (1) business day of regular pay for each holiday for which the company closes. The company currently closes for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Insurance
You will be eligible for health insurance coverage on the first day following the completion of your first thirty (30) days of full-time employment.
Tire Rack also offers voluntary dental, vision, life and AD&D, and disability benefits, which you will be eligible to participate in after thirty (30) days of full-time employment.
401(k) Plan
You will also be eligible to participate in the company's 401(k) plan upon reaching age 21 and completing 1,000 hours of service within the 12-month time-period following your date of hire. Your entry date will be the first day of the month coinciding with or next following the date you satisfy both the age 21 and the hours-of-service eligibility requirements. The company will contribute $1.00 in your name for each $1.00 that you contribute to the Plan, up to a maximum of 6% of the employee's eligible compensation. The company's contribution fully vests after three years of full-time employment.
