Hate to use the phrase "the difference was like night and day" but I will. The original bulbs were as useful as an old oil lantern as far as the amount of light they produced. After installing the new PIAA H4 Xtreme White Plus bulbs they lit up the road almost as good as my HID lights in my other vehicle. Well worth the money for the added safety and security the additional light they provided. Very noticeable on those dimly lit back roads compared to the original equipment.
These lights are definitely brighter than the OEM lights. You can see much further. They have a tint of blue but are amazingly bright. We only use this car 3 out of 4 seasons but we keep the lights on day and night. I just had one burn out after 9 years. The only problem we've had is a little piece of plastic in the upper part of the light housing looks like it's getting burnt from the heat. Other than that, these lights are great.
