"There's nothing quite like the atmosphere at Sebring, and Tire Rack is excited to be an Official Partner,” said Scott Clark, Tire Rack’s chief executive officer. “We know that for genuine racing fans, being part of the action means being close to the race. By co-sponsoring a new pedestrian bridge along with Michelin, we're building a dedicated pathway that puts our Tire Rack customers right in the heart of the excitement.” -Scott Clark, Tire Rack CEO
As one of the oldest and toughest road courses in America, this historic track in Sebring, Florida, has provided grueling challenges and high-velocity excitement to racing enthusiasts since 1950. Founded by Russian-American aeronautical engineer Alec Ulmann, the raceway was converted from what was originally Hendricks Army Airfield, a World War II training base, into the 3.74-mile-long course it is today. Parts of the course still include the original concrete from the airbase, as well as occupy a portion of Sebring Regional Airport.
In addition to being an official partner, we’re co-sponsoring (with our friends at Michelin) a new pedestrian bridge over Sebring’s famous Ullman Straight near turn 17. This new bridge will not only provide race fans with a unique view of the straightaway but will also directly connect the south lot to the Paddock.
Sebring International Raceway is also host to many major endurance racing series, including its legendary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. View the full Sebring International Raceway Event Schedule.
