    I custom ordered this truck with the 6.2 corvette engine four wheel drive, towing package. The original shocks were junk in 10,000 miles and cupped the tires. That is when the shocks don't dampen oscillations and the hammering creates an uneven surface on the tires destroying them.
    I put the Fox 2.5 race coilovers up front which drastically improved handling and of course new tires from tire rack. I have run a few different tires, XL rated for truck and at least V speed rated.
    I also have a nitrogen tank and like the fronts at 200 psi or higher. The only thing I would change, Fox offers factory ride height which I did, I did not want to raise the truck and springs that raise the truck are a bit stiffer which it could use, they should offer those higher rate springs 1" shorter so we can get sports car handling and not lift the truck.
    The rear I put the 2.0 shocks, they are not as robust as the 2.5 race and one did blow after 40K miles which I replaced with the same.
    This truck is limited to some degree by cheap factory rear leaf springs with a helper that causes oscillations on LA freeways that are damaged since the northridge earthquake.
    The only way to improve the ride from here is an aftermarket custom rear multi leaf spring. The factory helper, 2" of suspenion movement then the helper jacks up the spring rate exponentially, not smooth. I also added an adjustable rear sway bar, no bar from the factory and the handling is much better than stock.
