My daily-driver Yaris needed new shocks, struts, and tires. It felt unstable on the freeway and was terrifying in the rain. Since I was going to be disassembling the suspension anyway, I decided to install some lowering springs to fill out the wheel wells more evenly. I also bought new wheels with a lower offset, wider tires (185 to 195), and a TRD rear sway bar. The difference in handling is unbelievable. It feels like a different car! Before the installation, the car felt floaty and top heavy. Now it no longer gets pushed around by large vehicles on the freeway and doesn t lean in the corners. These springs are very close to OE spec stiffness and the struts are OE replacement spec so I can live with them every day. I also have a 2016 WRX STi and the Yaris is still more comfortable with these springs and shocks. The drop is 1" and just enough to make the car look better without making me question a speed bump. I work in an old town with some DEEP flood control gutters and I can still get through them without scraping up the bottom of the car or having to enter every driveway or intersection at an angle. The ride is a bit bumpier than OEM but it s a small price to pay for the vastly improved handling confidence. It also did not raise the road-noise volume in the cabin. Everything installed like it was OE spec and since the H&R springs were shorter than the OE springs, I only needed spring compressors to remove the old units from the front struts. I m very happy with this combination. I feel like the car should have come from the factory with these parts. I ve owned this car 9 years and it s finally fun to drive.

Install on a 2016 Mazda MX-5 Sport edition. To begin with drop much different than average stated, in that I obtained 1.25 inches in the front and 1.75 inches in the back once suspension was cycled. I expect that once fully settled the car will be 13.00 front and back from wheel centerline to fender lip. Beginning measurements were 14.25 front and 14.75 rear. I however was pleasantly surprised that the springs came out level rake versus as advertised which would have had the car still tail high. Ride comfort was almost equal to stock with flatter corner handling. Slightly choppy on washboard surfaces but I attribute that to the stock shocks being underdamped for the springs. Car did pick up some noticeable cowl shake but Sport editions do not have factory shock tower struts and that would eliminate. On a Club it would be fine. I ll get more miles on and update but initial impressions are all positive and Tire Rack s service and delivery were stellar.
