The Advantage Control is BFGoodrich's Grand Touring All-Season tire for drivers of coupes, sedans, crossovers and SUVs looking confident control along with a comfortable ride, long tread life and capable all-season traction, even in light snow.
The Advantage Control features an advanced, silica-rich, all-season tread compound molded into a touring-focused, symmetric tread design. The carefully engineered pattern architecture is designed to lower tread noise for a quiet and comfortable ride. A computer-optimized footprint manages contact patch forces, promoting longer and more consistent tread wear. Next Generation g-Wedge Sidewall Stabilizers reinforce the sidewall to retain crisp handling and responsive steering inputs. Wide, circumferential grooves combine with generous lateral notches that feature Aqua-Flume Technology, leveraging a curvilinear groove network to accelerate and disperse water from the contact patch, helping improve hydroplaning resistance and wet weather stability. Active Sipe Technology and full depth tread features are built into the tread blocks for consistent wet and wintry weather performance throughout the tire's life.
The internal construction of the Advantage Control consists of two-ply polyester casing focused on providing durability and comfort. Twin, robust steel belts support the tread package and combine with a single nylon reinforcement for reliability and high-speed capabilities.

Winter traction earns consistent praise (8-10 scores) for snowy conditions, though ice traction shows more variability with some ratings dipping to 5-6. Wet performance shines with reliable hydroplaning resistance and confident grip, while dry handling delivers responsive steering and stable cornering. The tire's balanced capabilities across seasons align well with its grand touring design, offering drivers versatile year-round usability. A few outliers note slightly reduced ice traction, but most emphasize dependable performance in typical all-season scenarios.

...Fantastic wet traction. Never had the feeling of hydroplaning even at 80mph...
Great tires. Used as primarily summer tires as I have a set of blizzaks for the winter. Fantastic wet traction. Never had the feeling of hydroplaning even at 80mph. Holds great grip in highway cornering. Highly recommend!

...Have been very impressed by their performance in wet conditions. Very little loss of traction even with abs, tcs, and stability control off...
Really nice tires overall. A bit noisy and stiff, but otherwise very nice tires. Have been very impressed by their performance in wet conditions. Very little loss of traction even with abs, tcs, and stability control off. Only major issue I've had has been balancing. I have a relatively new set of enkei rims which are not damaged or warped in any way, and initially the tires balanced out quite well with little too no weight. The second balance they took a bit more weight, but the third really was odd. The tires appeared to be wearing evenly, but almost were warping. There was a clear up and down motion when spinning on the balancer while the rims were rotating perfectly. This was present on all four tires. This may be due to road conditions in my area being less than perfect or driving style. But overall have been very impressed with the performance.

I cannot say enough good things about these tires. I do seasonal work all over the states and have driven them in pretty much every road condition there is. At 15,000 miles - I drove to work 20 miles on (mostly flat) but very icy and snowy roads every day for a full winter in the Colorado rockies. In a 2wd corolla, I had to drive more conservatively, but had a lot of trust in these tires and they exceeded my expectations. I have driven the infamously potholed Alaska / Canada highway with these tires four times. Most recently at 50,000 miles. At 60,000 miles they have basically no tread left but I have never popped a tire. Even these last few months with a 2 mile commute along a potholed gravel road that is known for destroying tires.

...Live in MN, so lots of ice and snow driving - these perform very well, no complaints for winter use. Winter performance is very good.
I purchased these soon after their release, on sale and had an alignment done. Live in MN, so lots of ice and snow driving - these perform very well, no complaints for winter use. MPG decreased slightly from the OEM Michelin tires. Road noise increased. When aired up properly for the vehicle (36 psi) the tires look low. I get comments at gas stations - people think I have 4 low tires on an unloaded Grand Caravan - strange. Tire wear is disappointing, I am at 6/32" remaining after 25000 miles, will probably need replacement before next winter. This tire is disappointing, I expected more. Not a total fail. Winter performance is very good.

...After driving an Audi for several years, I initially thought the Camry's performance issues were due to the car itself. However, these new tires completely changed my perception. It turns out the problem wasn't the car-it was the old tires!...
I recently replaced the old tires on my Camry with BF Advantage Control tires, and the difference has been remarkable. After driving an Audi for several years, I initially thought the Camry’s performance issues were due to the car itself. However, these new tires completely changed my perception. It turns out the problem wasn’t the car—it was the old tires!
The BF Advantage Control tires have significantly improved the driving experience, making the ride smoother and more enjoyable. This has been a great reminder to always replace tires when buying a second-hand car. It’s only been 1,500 miles so far, but I’m optimistic about their long-term performance!

...Traction wet and dry is excellent. Steering is very responsive and ride is smooth and comfortable...
This set of BF Goodrich Advantage tires were purchased to replace the OEM Tires (Cooper). The OEM Tires were very disappointing in all aspects. I went with the BFG’s because of previous experience on other cars. I was not disappointed when I put them on the Subaru Outback. Traction wet and dry is excellent. Steering is very responsive and ride is smooth and comfortable. Noise level is low but with 50% tread remaining I’m starting to notice it but it is acceptable (turn the music up a little). The tires have about 28,000 miles on them and I expect to make it to 45-50,000 before I buy another set. I can highly recommend these tires.

Installed these on my 3-year old Prius Prime to replace OEM tires that were worn out after 37,000 miles (ugh). Observations - dry traction very good. Definitely make more noise than the previous tires, which I attribute to these ones actually having tread on them. Have not driven yet in the rain. BUT - I immediately noticed a SUBSTANTIAL decrease in mpg. The Prius Prime can go on electric only if you charge it, which I do. Generally on a charge I get 33 miles before the gas engine kicks in, depending on how I drive. With these tires I get only 26-27 mpg, so at least a 20% reduction. I had seen this observed in other reviews. Will it change as the tires wear in and the initial stickiness goes away? Who knows? But you should be aware this may happen.

...I have another car with Michelins and these are not at that level as far as smoothness or quiet but they are decent and will work well for this vehicle around town and short trips.
Purchased a used car and part of the deal was a new set of tires, the dealer of course wanted to put the cheapest tire that will fit the car which came originally with Michelins. I said at least a brand name tire so they finally agreed to put the Goodrich’s on. I have another car with Michelins and these are not at that level as far as smoothness or quiet but they are decent and will work well for this vehicle around town and short trips.
