The Turanza EL400-02 and Turanza EL400 w/UNI-T are Bridgestone's Standard Touring All-Season tires developed to meet the Original Equipment and replacement tire needs of drivers for their sporty coupes, sedans and vans. Turanza EL400 tires are designed to provide a luxury appearance, long wear and responsive handling along with dry, wet and year-round traction, even in light snow.
Bridgestone's Ultimate Network of Intelligent Tire Technology (UNI-T) features three core elements: CO'CS, a Computer Optimized Component System which allows design and manufacturing processes to work more cooperatively, leading to a more effective tire that doesn't significantly sacrifice one area of performance for improvements in another; O-Bead, a rounder bead structure that minimizes overlapped joints in the bead area for improved ride; and L.L. Carbon (Long Link Carbon) which helps the rubber compound resist microscopic tread tearing related to wear.
On the outside, Turanza EL400 tires features their tread rubber compound molded into a symmetric tread design with straight circumferential grooves to balance dry and wet road traction with noise comfort and hydroplaning resistance. On the inside, the Turanza EL400 features twin steel belts for strength and stability with a polyester cord body to enhance ride comfort.
*Specific sizes featuring UNI-T technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

Why Gamble With Winter Tire Selection When Four of a Kind Always Beats Two Pair?(01:56)
Some drivers still doubt the industry's requirement for equipping front-wheel drive vehicles with matching winter tires all the way around. To address those doubts and demonstrate what can happen when mixed tires reach their limits on hard-packed snow and ice, we did some tests at our local skating rink.
Drivers consistently rate the BFGoodrich Advantage T/A Sport LT as an excellent all-season choice for crossovers and SUVs, with standout comfort highlighted by smooth ride quality and low noise levels. Treadwear receives strong praise for durability, aligning well with the touring focus. Winter traction is reliable in light snow and slush, while wet performance shows confident grip and hydroplaning resistance. Dry handling earns consistent praise for responsive steering and stability, fitting its touring role. While a few lower scores note reduced ice traction, most drivers report well-rounded performance across seasons, making it a dependable option for everyday driving needs.

The tread design helps to divert and channel water to the sides and back lessening the potential for hydroplaning in heavy rain at high speeds. Provides excellent traction in slush and snow as well...
The purchase and delivery process was easy and arrived 2 days BEFORE scheduled to arrive. These tires were the 2nd set of Advantage T/A Sport LT tires, replacement tires to the original Goodyear OEM garbage that came with the truck. I've found that B.F. Goodrich tires are better in design, construction and performance than most other brands, particularly Goodyear. The Advantage T/A Sport LT provides a smooth, relatively quiet ride without sacrificing traction or tread wear. The tread design helps to divert and channel water to the sides and back lessening the potential for hydroplaning in heavy rain at high speeds. Provides excellent traction in slush and snow as well. I've found that with regularly scheduled rotation and proper inflation, to get about 15,000 more miles than advertised. All in all, a great Light Truck tire!
Tires feel crisp and responsive in both wet and dry conditions...
Tires feel crisp and responsive in both wet and dry conditions. No discernible road noise and corners well even when I push the tires which is easy to do with the V8 and twin turbos.

I put a lot of miles on my tires. I also live in the Poconos so I need a tire that can handle some snow. Boy, do these ever. They have gone through everything I have encountered with no problem whatsoever. They wear incredible as I've got 85,000 miles on them since I installed them. There is still plenty of tread left but better safe than sorry, so I just purchased a second set of the same tires for the upcoming winter. Easily the best tires I've ever purchased.

Saw these advertised as a new tire with Severe Snow and decided to give them a try. They lived up to its purpose. Smooth riding, good traction, wearing very well. They also handle well when towing a heavy trailer, no sidewall squish or shimmy. The only thing I can say that is not perfect is when the roads are damp, such as after a rainfall and most of the water has gone, but just enough for it to be wet, they tend to slip. That is about the only thumbs down I can give them. They also return very good MPG on a pickup.

Since I've had these tires on besides the daily driving, we've had to travel to Nebraska last December crossing Donner Pass twice at night in heavy snow with no issues. The rest of the trip was pretty much wet, slushy or ice/snow and the tires performed much better than I expected.

Braking is responsive, handles politely and the tires aren't overly noisy. I have no idea how long they will last, but based on my experience so far I'd buy another set of these in a heartbeat.

This tire performed spectacularly for the first 18 months/20-25K miles... what tire performs poorly in dry conditions?...
This tire performed spectacularly for the first 18 months/20-25K miles. I had no problems driving in rain or snow (and what tire performs poorly in dry conditions?). I have had the tires rotated every 7,500 miles in order to try to extend the life of the tread. However, in the last several months, the tread in the center of the pattern has all but disappeared (and no, the tires are not over inflated). I am constantly losing traction on wet surfaces, and I am not looking forward to the mid-Atlantic regions first significant snow fall for this season. I have contacted the wholesale club where I purchased the tires regarding warranty replacement, but was told they would not qualify at the time because the outer portions of the tread still measured 4/32", yet the center was at 2/32".

...significantly smoother, very responsive, good grip, NO road noise. very good, stable, and comfortable...
These tires are the 2nd purchase of same model (newly designed tread pattern - & much better). I had to replace bc my son kept them at max pressure and low load, lead to center wear. Replaced two front tires, noticed new tread, bought rear two. Once installed, ride is significantly smoother, very responsive, good grip, NO road noise. Handling is very good, stable, and comfortable. These tires are on the higher end of the price range, but a better buy than higher priced/similar tires. The RDX is a sport ride, these tires make it smooth while not rolling. I have performance brakes and vented discs, and these tires have been great additions. I would highly recommend these tires. They are also 'AT', but don't have knobs, so ride smooth in city and highway while giving you good rain traction and medium snow traction (light snow). Again, highly recommend. Would purchase again.

Treadwear receives strong 9s and 10s, with most customers praising long-lasting performance for Crossover/SUV touring. While a few lower scores exist, high ratings emphasize durability in all-season conditions, ideal for drivers prioritizing extended tread life.

I've had these tires now for one and a half years... Tread wear still looks new...
I've had these tires now for one and a half years. I've driven in all the conditions rated and found this set of tires to be excellent in almost every category. We live in the country and anyone knows that country roads can be rough. These tires handle those roads with ease. They are smooth and quiet on the highway as well as in the city. Tread wear still looks new. They look great on my 2015 RAM pickup. I will purchase these tires again.

...The 'Sport' tire has done what it is supposed to do, lasted over 60k miles... I never thought of these tires as specifically noisy, and the tires held their own as far as traction; at 4/32", the tires have never provided an unsafe ride, so we knew that we still had a few miles to go before replacing these tires.
Basically, the only reason I would not buy another set of these tires for our car is if the new "Control" tires are available in the necessary size when we finally find the wear indicators on the "Sport" tire. The "Sport" tire has done what it is supposed to do, lasted over 60k miles, had a decent grip on the road, and for the slight road noise - turn the radio on. I never thought of these tires as specifically noisy, and the tires held their own as far as traction; at 4/32", the tires have never provided an unsafe ride, so we knew that we still had a few miles to go before replacing these tires.

Are Front-Wheel Drive and All-Season Tires Enough for Winter Driving?(02:33)
Drivers living in the northern U.S. have already discovered a set of dedicated winter/snow tires increases their vehicles' wintertime capabilities enough to reduce their driving times, tension and stress. However, if you're among the skeptics who still question if the added traction is worth the expense, watch this video.
