The g-Force Comp-2 A/S PLUS is BFGoodrich's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed for sports car, sporty coupe, performance sedan and modern muscle car driving enthusiasts. Engineered to improve wet handling, wet braking and snow traction over its predecessor, the g-Force Comp-2 A/S PLUS is designed to (A)ccelerate faster, (B)rake shorter and provide more (C)ontrol in all seasons to deliver BFG's ABCs of Ultra High Performance All-Season driving, even in light snow.
Featuring the proven tread pattern of its predecessor, the g-Force Comp-2 A/S PLUS utilizes an updated tread compound designed to increase traction levels in wet and snow, without sacrificing dry traction or treadlife. The tire features squared off shoulders and wraparound tread elements for block rigidity that help inspire confident dry handling. Hydroplaning resistance is aided by an aggressive V-shaped directional pattern, with angled lateral and longitudinal grooves to combine dry, wet and wintertime traction with satisfying longevity.
The g-Force Comp-2 A/S PLUS incorporates BFGoodrich's Performance Racing Core construction. This includes their Equal TEnsion Containment System (ETEC System) of spirally wrapped nylon above twin steel belts, optimizing the tire's contact patch. G-Control Sidewall inserts help blend ride comfort with responsive handling.

...So far they have been great in the rain and in snow...
Owned 2 sets... By far the best traction tire I've ever had in all weather conditions - Drove from DesMoines to Minneapolis in a snow storm... 25mph top speed in near whiteout conditions and I-80 was closed in most areas but we kept going in my lowered Camry. Felt like I had all wheel drive. However, when tread got down to 60-70% the tires became loud. Had sidewall cracking issues on both sets and premature treadwear - I could not get more than 15-20,000 miles out a set.

I have never had a UHP all-season tire with this level of performance in the rain. The grip and resistance to hydroplaning is absolutely ridiculous in the wet... even in a full downpour. I've tried other UHP all-seasons, and prior to this, my go-to was the Continental Conti-Extreme Contact DWS, and though the Contis may be a hair ahead of these in the snow, these BFGs are so far ahead of the Contis in the wet (even though the Contis are not BAD), I will buy these for as long as they're available, ESPECIALLY at the price.

...They are AWESOME in the snow and rain, quiet on the highway (despite their aggressive tread pattern) and they stick like glue when driving the twisty's...
This is my 3rd set of these tires on 2 different vehicles ('15 Mazda3 S GT 2 sets and '19 VW GTI 1 set). I don't know why manufacturers put such crappy tires on cars from the factory. These BFGoodrich's are some of the best tires I have owned PERIOD...regardless of price. I am an extremely spirited driver and go through tires in about 25-30K miles so I have tried lots of different ones but I'm sticking with these from now on. They are AWESOME in the snow and rain, quiet on the highway (despite their aggressive tread pattern) and they stick like glue when driving the twisty's. Can't say enough good things about them. You won't regret purchasing them!

Most customers report excellent winter traction with snow scores clustered in 9s and 10s, excelling in snowy conditions. Ice traction shows strong 7-8 ratings for typical all-season use, though a few lower scores note reduced grip on sheer ice. Deep snow performance remains consistently confident.
These are not the most recent tread compound. Had since March 2018. Fantastic tires overall, wear great, handle great, wet, dry, snow. almost gone after 62,000 mi. Would and will buy again.

One year with these tires and no complaints. Had that big snow storm last winter where it dumped about 2 feet of snow. Going up I-87 North with ice and snow on roadway, These tires took it like a champ. Never spun out or lost traction. Definitely recommended.

...The BFGs aren't bad, but I still prefer winter tires as we have a 1/4 mile driveway that has 3:1 grades, with a deep ravine alongside the driveway. So winter tires are really necessary here in Wisconsin...
This is the second set fitted to the Flex replacing the OEM Uniroyals. The BFG's are a good mid-market tire for the Flex. Good overall grip, handling, and so on. We did not wear through the original BFGs; they simply aged out. But they were getting close to replacement on treadwear. The Flex is hard on tires (AWD) the Uniroyals had to be replaced around 42,000 miles. We have a separate set of winter tires and rims. So this extends the life of the tires. The Uniroyal's were poor in snow and ice. The BFGs aren't bad, but I still prefer winter tires as we have a 1/4 mile driveway that has 3:1 grades, with a deep ravine alongside the driveway. So winter tires are really necessary here in Wisconsin. THe BFG's have been a very reliable, consistent tire that seems well matched with the Flex. So recommended for 3 season use in the snow belt. They also look really good on the car.

...Compared to any other tire, they: last longer, handle better (wet and dry), stop quicker and believe it or not, improve the performance of the car...
I have had these tires on everything from my current '17 VW GLI, to my '16 VW GTI and my 2012 Audi S4, and let me tell you, nothing compares. I have tried other brands that are "supposedly" better, but in my opinion (I drive 3 hours a day for work, in all weather conditions) these are the king. Compared to any other tire, they: last longer, handle better (wet and dry), stop quicker and believe it or not, improve the performance of the car. I will always buy these tires!

...With the BFG's, according to the built in accelerometer, I have peaked .88g's in a left turn, .83 to the right, 1.05 front and 1.44 rear - with the tires warm... If the BFG's are cold, they break loose fairly easily from a stop, but they have stuck pretty hard a few times when I have tried to make some smoke...
Since there aren't any Dodges (2018 Charger Daytona) reviewed for the BFG 245/45-20 g-Force Comp 2 A/S , I thought I would weigh in. I drive 75% mostly dry mountain roads (Angeles Forest & Crest) and the RS-A2 Eagles that came on it were sketchy. With the BFG's, according to the built in accelerometer, I have peaked .88g's in a left turn, .83 to the right, 1.05 front and 1.44 rear - with the tires warm. I don't remember the g-peaks on the Eagles. I have had a couple issues with understeer but it was manageable. I expect some understeer since this is a fairly big and heavy car (4 doors and 4200lbs+). If the BFG's are cold, they break loose fairly easily from a stop, but they have stuck pretty hard a few times when I have tried to make some smoke. If it is cold and the car has been sitting for a few days, I can feel the flat spots until the tires warm up. They are a little noisy on the LA area freeways that have been ground down, but the noise is mostly acceptable as the exhaust is throaty and the car has a pretty good sound system. The Charger is a heavy car and I don't expect to get a lot of miles out of a set of tires, especially with the mountain road driving but the BFG's outlasted the Eagles by 6,000 miles. I originally bought this set of BFG's because of the cost during Covid cut backs. I have always replaced worn out tires that my other cars had with Michelin, but I am going to buy another set of the BFG's in the next month or so due to cost and...I like the BFG's.

...Combine that with superb ride comfort and I couldn't be happier...
These bad boys have totally exceeded my expectations. They really allow the AMG to shine and transmit all its ponies to the road. Have not broken them loose yet on a dry surface. No burnt rubber off the line, just total grip. No other tire has delivered that performance, even staggered summer tires. Combine that with superb ride comfort and I couldn't be happier. They've made me fall back in love with my car again. I expect there will be a trade off relative to tread wear, but so what? At this price point anything over 20,000 miles is a bonus.

...The tires still look brand new so they are wearing very well...
I have these on the front of the Corvette and I needed what is now an odd size for the OEM wheels. These were highly rated for all season use and I've borne that out, driving in all conditions throughout the year with no issues at all. The tires still look brand new so they are wearing very well. Noise is not really an issue since my car is not exactly stock but these are louder than some others I've had. Overall, I'm very happy with these.

I love these tires! I bought them because they look great and was surprised how well it did in the snow, how well they did in the rain, how well they grip when cornering, and how long they have lasted (and they still have plenty of tread left for at least another winter, maybe more)...

I bought them because they look great and was surprised how well it did in the snow, how well they did in the rain, how well they grip when cornering, and how long they have lasted (and they still have plenty of tread left for at least another winter, maybe more). I probably wouldn't have bought an ultra high performance tire for the fact I live in the Chicagoland area where snow is inevitable, however, the reviews were so good that I took the chance. I'm glad I did. I even recommended for my dad's Cadillac and a friend's car. Both are glad they took my advice. I will definitely buy another set of these if they are still available when I need them.

Breaking Down Tire Performance Categories - 2024 Special Test With Winter Update (26:05)
We understand that tire performance categories can be confusing. You want an all-season tire, but there are several all-season categories; how do you know which one is right for you? You want a summer tire, but again, which summer category? In this special demonstration, we took six all-season tires from three all-season categories and three summer tires from two summer categories to lay it out for you. Category-leading tires from the Standard Touring All-Season, Grand Touring All-Season, Ultra High Performance All-Season, Max Performance Summer, and Extreme Performance Summer categories are tested so you can see exactly what each "step up" gets you as a driver and what trade-offs were made along the way.
