Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02 Reviews

Feedback patterns show the Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02 delivers excellent dry traction (9-10 scores) and responsive handling for crossover/SUV use. Comfort receives praise for smooth rides (7-10 range) but shows variability in noise levels. Treadwear ratings are inconsistent, with some reporting premature wear (3-5 scores) despite others noting decent longevity. Winter traction (0-4 scores) and wet performance (3-6 range) raise concerns, with hydroplaning resistance being a noted weakness. While strong in dry conditions, the tire's all-season capabilities are limited by weaker winter and wet performance.

...Very smooth, quiet, and grip well...

OEM tires for me. These tires have performed well. Very smooth, quiet, and grip well. I drove from Tennessee to Utah with no issues. Drove in the sand with reduced pressures and no issues. My regular psi is 61. I did drive in the mud and these were very slick. A little driving in the snow was no problem. I hope to get 50K miles out of these.

I am happy with the comfort I experience with these tires.

I feel it is a good purchase, same tires when I purchased the vehicle in 2019. I am happy with the comfort I experience with these tires.

...They do provide a comfortable ride and don't seem to be noisy.

I purchased this single tire to replace an OE tire that was damaged by some road debris. I will not buy a set of these tires when it the OE set on my truck wear out. They are not good in wet conditions and are horrible in the snow. They do provide a comfortable ride and don't seem to be noisy.

While some customers rate wet traction highly (8-10), many report unacceptable performance with scores 0-6. Concerns include mediocre wet traction, hydroplaning tendencies, and slippery handling, disappointing for an all-season tire.

...A cloud passed over across the horizon and these hydroplaned. These have lost traction in sweeping corners at highway speeds in warm dry conditions causing the rear end to step out resulting in a full scale "brown alert". Wet traction is poor and extremely unpredictable...

Dangerously poor quality tires. I have a 2024 GMC Sierra Denali. Bought it new with 3 miles on it and currently 7512 miles. Just had the 4TH (FOURTH) set put on my truck today - all replaced under warranty due to defects, and GM refuses to substitute with anything else, probably to ensure matching the quality of their vehicles. If you only need these tires on your vehicle for display purposes, these tires are for you. Very noisy, rough, choppy ride. A cloud passed over across the horizon and these hydroplaned. These have lost traction in sweeping corners at highway speeds in warm dry conditions causing the rear end to step out resulting in a full scale "brown alert". Wet traction is poor and extremely unpredictable, usefulness in any amount of snow is virtually non existent. These tires are put on GMC's "Professional Grade" flagship four wheel drive truck, and they are not recommended for any off road use. Really GM? But I guess this falls right in line with the quality of their other components and craftsmanship (engine issues, transmission issues, infotainment system malfunctioning, squeaks / rattles, trim parts coming loose and falling off [all of which, in addition to other issues Ive had with this $80k vehicle]). Do yourself a favor and don't even consider these tires for your own safety, and I would even suggest considering these OEM tires as part of your decision if you are thinking about buying any GM product. I know I will.

Why did Cadillac put these useless tires on its $135k Escalade flagship? These tires define the word "terrifying" in wet conditions. They hydroplane on the interstate even in light rain; like, drift into in the other lane hydroplane, the kind that leaves you shaking and bathed in cold sweat. This is the second set of these I have replaced; the first set (22" wheel diameter) was on our '23 Escalade Sport Platinum (went with Michelin LTX, by the way) and now the new one, a 2025 Sport Platinum with 24" diameter wheels. We have less than 1,500 miles on the new one. I contacted Bridgestone customer service for assistance. Very disappointed - no live operators on the warranty line, only an AI droid, by the way - and the system would not even let me talk to a real human. The hydroplaning issue is so bad it overshadows what is otherwise likely a decent tire. We are very disappointed. Caveat Emptor!

OEM tires on 2024 Sierra. They’re an average street tire. They are definitely NOT an all season tire. They are downright dangerous in light snow or ice with a strong propensity to break loose sideways. Braking in snow or ice is similarly poor with traction control and ABS working hard. If you live where it snows, choose life, not these tires.

These tires are OEM on my Yukon Denali. Just bought a set of Michelin snows because they are terrible. Sliding all over the place. Zero traction. I have zero confidence in these tires in bad weather. When it's time to replace I will not be buying them again.

Replaced OEM tires with these (same as what came on it) after a sidewall slice on the orig tires. I’ve been disappointed with the tread wear of these tires- lucky if we get 20k out of them. Disappointing for the nearly 1600 dollar per set price tag- and on a small SUV. Trouble is there are limited run flat options for the 235/50-20 size- but was hoping that at least I would get the mileage commensurate with the Expected tread wear rating. I will definitely look for an alternative when these are spent- which is probably in 5k miles or less. Sigh.

...Treadwear after 30k miles is not good. I rotated every 7500 miles and these will need to be replaced at 45k miles if driving to the wear bars...

It's an average tire for the '23 Escalade Sport Platinum 4WD. It's not too loud and fairly responsive in dry conditions. Rain is okay. Have not driven on snow or ice. Treadwear after 30k miles is not good. I rotated every 7500 miles and these will need to be replaced at 45k miles if driving to the wear bars. To be fair, the Escalade is very heavy but GM should have picked a more robust tire on a $115k+ SUV. There are better tires that last longer and do better in the rain.
