Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02 Reviews

Feedback patterns show the Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02 delivers excellent dry traction (9-10 scores) and responsive handling for crossover/SUV use. Comfort receives praise for smooth rides (7-10 range) but shows variability in noise levels. Treadwear ratings are inconsistent, with some reporting premature wear (3-5 scores) despite others noting decent longevity. Winter traction (0-4 scores) and wet performance (3-6 range) raise concerns, with hydroplaning resistance being a noted weakness. While strong in dry conditions, the tire's all-season capabilities are limited by weaker winter and wet performance.

...I never had a problem in the rain or dry. They are a solid highway tire...

These are OEM tires on GM SUV's. They only come with 10/32's. Normal should be 12/32's. At 25,000 miles, they have 7/32's remaining. I never had a problem in the rain or dry. They are a solid highway tire. In snow, they are terrible. I got stuck with AWD. The tread just packs with snow. My previous Bridgestone's were better in the snow. Next time I'll buy something more aggressive, with 12/32's for the few days we have snow.

Dry traction with the Bridgestone Alenzas is adequate. No real complaints over the life of the tire. As expected, snow traction is limited but it'll get the job done. Anything other than light snow and you'll want a dedicated snow tire; even with 4WD. Tire wear is excellent driving mostly highway and getting nearly 80,000mi of life out of them. I'm looking at other tires on the light duty truck market, but this is definitely a contender.

Down right scary on ice or medium amount of snow. Also seems to hydroplane on small amounts of water on the road.

Tires are horrible in snow/ice. My wife refuses to drive the car if there is snow or ice on the road. We live in the PA portion of the Lake Erie snowbelt, so it makes the vehicle useless in the winter.

I purchased my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali about 1 year and 11 months ago, and the Bridgestone Alenza A/S tires came as the original equipment. When they were brand new, performance was just okay — nothing impressive.

This winter is where the real issues showed up. The truck has been all over the road, with far more slipping and sliding than I’ve ever experienced, especially for a full-size 4x4 truck. Traction in winter conditions has been extremely disappointing.

I stopped by a Firestone retailer to get some feedback, and even the employee I spoke with said these tires are known to be poor performers and mentioned they’ve been discontinued — which is confusing since they still appear to be for sale.

Either way, I won’t be purchasing these again. Lesson learned. I’ll be sticking with BFGoodrich tires from here on out.

OEM tires on Audi Q4 were fine while they lasted…but I could not believe how fast they wore out! Under 13,000 miles, I have replaced all four tires with treadwear down below 4/32. Absolutely unacceptable performance. For the last 1000 miles one of them has been losing air slowly, but it’s too worn to patch. This vehicle is mostly driven around town for school pickups and grocery runs, and church on Sundays. Always garaged. Shockingly poor durability and wear for OEM tires on a luxury vehicle, or honestly any vehicle. I have owned many cars over 35 years, and I’ve never worn out a set of tires under 25,000 miles. This includes other high-powered awd vehicles, like a Mercedes AMG when I was younger and more fun, as well as Suburbans and Range Rovers.
