The Alenza AS Ultra is Bridgestone's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for drivers of SUVs, crossovers, and light-duty trucks looking for a quiet, luxurious ride; good performance; and long tread life. The Alenza AS Ultra is designed to combine good dry handling with enhanced wet traction and all-season capability for confident performance, even in light snow.
An advanced, high-silica compound is molded into a symmetric pattern for inclement weather traction and noise comfort while allowing for flexible rotation options to maintain even tread wear. Wide circumferential grooves reduce hydroplaning and feature Quiet Tracks at the tread base to help reduce pattern noise and improve driving comfort. Tread blocks feature Snow Vices that create powerful biting edges for winter performance, along with generous siping for slippery surface traction.
The internal construction of the Alenza AS Ultra utilizes a two-ply, polyester casing that balances a luxurious ride with durability. Twin, steel belts provide stability along with a single, nylon reinforcement for enhanced high-speed capabilities to suit modern luxury vehicles.

All-Season vs. All-Weather Tires: What’s the Best Touring Tire for Premium CUVs? – 2024 Test 2 – With Winter Update (22:11)
We’ve tested Touring All-Season tires before, but never like this! Eight Touring tires, the best of the best, both 3PMSF branded [all-weather] and traditional all-season options, take to the street and the track to see how they stack up. Using our new Alfa Romeo Stelvio to represent the popular CUV segment, TJ and Brent put these eight contenders through the paces on the road, on the track, and in the winter elements to get a read on what to consider when comparing all-weather vs. all-season tires.
Feedback consistently shows the Bridgestone Alenza AS Ultra delivers excellent comfort with smooth ride quality and low noise, scoring 8-10 in most ratings. Treadwear receives strong praise for longevity, though a few reports mention rapid wear. Winter traction impresses in snow and slush, with scores 8-10, though some note reduced confidence on ice. Wet grip and hydroplaning resistance are consistently rated 8-10, while dry traction stands out as a highlight with near-perfect scores. While most drivers report high satisfaction, a small number express concerns about uneven treadwear and occasional winter limitations, aligning with its intended use as a crossover/SUV touring all-season tire.

...These Bridgstones have been great in the rain on curvy mountain roads. Never hydroplaned. No problem on wet dirt forest roads either...
Replaced worn out Michelin tires. These Bridgstones have been great in the rain on curvy mountain roads. Never hydroplaned. No problem on wet dirt forest roads either. Track very well on the highway and bumps and imperfections are a once and done. No "extra" vibration" that some tires have when hitting uneven expansion joints , etc. I have many uneven brick streets in my city, and the tires do well on those horrible surfaces.3 I had them rotated after 7K miles and wear seems very even and minor with my all wheel drive SUV. If they continue to perform like this and wear evenly to 35-40K miles, I will purchase again. I was going to go with a more performance oriented tire, but these have never complained or felt unstable on any mountain highway curves, and I enjoy mountain roads and drive briskly. Run about 37 lbs per tire cold. Braking seems strong and has never caused alarm on quick highway stops. Tires can be so hit and miss on different vehicles, and I'm very happy with my purchase. size 235/50/19

...They are way better than the OEM tires and are excellent in the rain. Prior to these tires, my Jeep would fish tail going into a jug handle but now, I cannot get my Jeep to slip or slide in the rain.

Most customers rate winter traction highly, with snow and deep snow scores often 9-10. Ice performance is strong overall, though a few lower ice scores (4-6) exist. The Alenza AS Ultra delivers confident grip in winter conditions, aligning well with its all-season design for crossover/SUV use.

I wanted improved winter performance. These are exactly what I had in mind, with improved focus on winter performance from the tread design without compromising other characteristics...
I bought these to replace a mixed set of tires that I was dissatisfied with that came on my XC90 V8 that I got last year. I'd previously had a set of Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus on my prior XC90, and I was very happy with them (the most satisfactory tires I've yet owned prior to these) but I wanted improved winter performance. These are exactly what I had in mind, with improved focus on winter performance from the tread design without compromising other characteristics. Somehow they're just as quiet - if not quieter - than the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus! Most notably they seem to have a more-subdued tone over road imperfections. Like the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus, they are almost eerily quiet driving around parking lots. You can definitely tell they're related to the Bridgestone QuietTrack, Turanza Serenity, and Dueler H/L Alenza Plus for their noise control. Perhaps Bridgestone could have called them Alenza QuietTrack just for branding similarities, even if QuietTrack is more for cars. One of my favorite things with the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus was that they were very comfortable, as befitting a luxury-focused vehicle. Even though these are on bigger wheels than my previous XC90, these Alenza AS Ultra are just as comfortable as the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus, with minimal transference of minor road imperfections. Dry grip is very good, and I have greatly increased confidence over the half-mixed set of Bridgestone Dueler HL400 (OEM tire) and Goodyear ComfortTred Touring that these replaced on my vehicle. My sole critique so far is that they don't look as special/unique as the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus, which I can pick out from a short distance on a parked vehicle in a good way. However, I'll gladly sacrifice style for improved noise and ride comfort and safety, since I can't look at the tires when I'm driving. I look forward to updating the review when I actually get some practical experience in winter conditions.

I live in the South but I drove my BMW X5 X 35D throughout the snow for three days in the Western Michigan in November. Good traction and good braking in one foot snow . A little bit noisier on the dry Interstate than the Continental DWS I owned before but I kind of expected that considering the 800 thread wear. My BMW has the staggered wheels so I cannot rotate the tires but if I get 40000 miles out of these tires I will definitely buy a new set . None of my tires previously owned lasted more than 25000 miles.

These tires have been excellent all around. They have great traction in snow and ice. They are also quiet and treadwear is low. I would buy them again for sure.

High marks highlight responsive handling and confident grip, aligning perfectly with its Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season design. A few 7-8 scores suggest minor variability, but overall performance excels in dry conditions.

...I really like the cornering too...
This has been a great tire so far on my Audi SQ5. Going to the 265 versus 255 OEM offered a lot more choices. The tire fit with no problem. I have had the pleasure of driving through some pretty heavy rain living here in Seattle. The tire worked great. I really like the cornering too. They may have a little more road noise than the OEM tires. I am very happy with the purchase and the recommendation from Tire Rack to choose these tires. Shout out to Omni Brake and Alignment for the installation and alignment of my SQ5.

...They handle much better, sound better, brake better, and wear better...
The Bridgestone Alenza AS Ultra tires I purchased are much quieter than the previous Bridgestone Dueler's that came stock on my Infiniti QX-asoarus (big SUV!). They handle much better, sound better, brake better, and wear better. The Alenza tires transmit the small bumps more than the Dueler's, but it is not that bad. They are still muted, softened little bumps. The Alenza tires cost less here in California, than the Dueler's and they perform much better, IMO. If I buy another set of Bridgestone tires, it will be the Alenza AS Ultras.

...Ride is very Smooth I can't believe it for 22" wheels. Cornering is good and goes straight down the road with now drifting at all like the Goodyears did...
Love these Bridgestone Alanza ultras! I have never written a review about tires, or much of anything, but these are worth telling you about. I had the 20” stock basic Alanza A/S Bridgestone originally when I got the truck, Good tires, had good fuel milage with them and nice riding but tread pattern was not good for snow. Then got 22” wheels and had the stock Good years on them. They were horrible! All over the road! tread pattern was worthless in snow (just 4 groves around the tire like a slick tire - not really any pattern) .... Did not seem like a smooth ride.
These new Ultras are the best I’ve ever had on any of my 8+ cars and trucks I have owned. In I have been thru allot of tires. (I know allot of people say that about other tires too) Ride is very Smooth I can’t believe it for 22” wheels. Cornering is good and goes straight down the road with now drifting at all like the Goodyears did. Noise level is great, hear wind noise not the tires. As for tread ware, only 2K miles on them so N/A. Fuel milage seems to have increased from Goodyears Not much time on snow, had them in about 3” of snow and did really good. (has a great tread pattern) All in all Great tire with new technology built in.
I always use tire rack to research tires and read reviews, but this is first purchase from Tire rack, great experience - one day delivery direct to Monro and they only charged $95 to install 4. I had never purchased from tire rack because i thought the install price would be hundreds. I guess not the case at all. and they have a hazard warranty, I think.
