Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

The Blizzak LM001 RFT (Run Flat Technology) is Bridgestone's Performance Winter / Snow tire designed to provide temporary self-supporting run-flat mobility in the case of complete air loss due to a puncture during winter driving. Designed for the drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and performance sedans, the Blizzak LM001 RFT is meant to help drivers maintain their vehicle's appearance, handling and mobility during the winter months by providing traction on cold, dry, wet and snow-covered roads.

Blizzak LM001 RFT tires feature an advanced tread compound to enhance cold-weather traction. This compound is molded into a directional design for improved evacuation of water and slush, aiding in confident grip and braking traction in cold, wet and wintry conditions. The Lamellen edge effect and 3-D sipes improve winter traction without resorting to traditional metal studs. This allows Blizzak LM001 RFT tires to combine winter traction, H-, V- or W-speed rated capability and the temporary extended mobility of run-flat tires.

Blizzak LM001 RFT winter tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

To help you know when it's time to replace your winter tires, Bridgestone molds winter wear Indicators (also known as snow platforms) into the Blizzak LM001 RFT's main tread grooves to identify when winter traction will be reduced, because the tire's tread has worn down to the point where the remaining depth becomes less effective at digging through snow, gripping icy roads or coping with slushy conditions.

Install Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 RFT tires in sets of four only.

Due to the traction capabilities of the Blizzak LM001 RFT, Bridgestone recommends using Blizzak LM001 RFT tires in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

...Wet traction is great and they're terrific in the snow. Never got stuck even in over 8 inches of snow...

Great all weather/winter tire (this is not a true snow tire which would have deeper thread and more aggressive pattern). Some compromise in dry traction and performance compared to summer tires but its still much better that I expected. Minimal floating feeling as common with these tires and you can still have a lot of fun with them on dry pavement, just make sure temps are below 40 or they will wear out quickly. Wet traction is great and they're terrific in the snow. Never got stuck even in over 8 inches of snow. The snow was up to my doors and I kept plowing through it when everyone else was getting stuck. Going up hills was not a problem and I felt confident traveling at 50mph in the snow. Walks circles around all seasons in the winter, whether dry, wet, or snowing since all season tires get stiff when it's cold and traction is compromised. No such issue here. Definitely would recommend this tire for the winter driving.

...But, in deep snow and deep slush on unplowed roads, transitioning snow, slush, that plow sheen, on icy roads, wet roads, etc. I pushed these really hard to see where their limits were, and they performed really really well...

I’ve used 3 different Blizzaks on our Outback (WS80, and currently DM-V2) and BMW 328d xDrive (LM-001 RFT). I wanted the WS90 for the BMW, and would consider those for next time, but BMW doesn’t come with a Jack or spare tire, and we live above the snow line and drive snowy, busy interstate everyday in the winter. I didn’t want to be stuck on the side of the road without a spare during a snowstorm so I didn’t take the chance and went with the Run Flats. The LM-001 RFT did great in combination with the BMW’s xDrive! No lie, this was the best combination of AWD and snow tires I’ve used in 30 years living in snow (3 Subarus, 2 Explorers, 1 Durango, 1 Tahoe, 1 B2200 2wd, 1 BMW). For a myriad of reasons I didn’t change them out this summer. They aren’t great on warm, dry pavement, or for ‘spirited’ driving on dry roads; there are better tires for that, obviously. But, in deep snow and deep slush on unplowed roads, transitioning snow, slush, that plow sheen, on icy roads, wet roads, etc. I pushed these really hard to see where their limits were, and they performed really really well. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for an RFT Winter tire.

...The road noise is very minimal, the wet traction, ice traction, snow traction is all very good...

I have had these on my Mini for one winter and am pretty happy with them. I have the front wheel drive model and it really makes a difference on ice and snow. I couldn't even get up my driveway with the worn all seasons I have on them but when I put these on it is very easy. The road noise is very minimal, the wet traction, ice traction, snow traction is all very good. These are my first snow tires ever so I have little to compare them to. The wear is noticeable, I have no idea if I will get three winters out a set but I hope to. I was trying to look for people who compare winter tires for a front wheel drive to people who have AWD with all season tires, there is little out there. I can say that you will not replace an AWD vehicle with a front wheel drive vehicle that has winter tires but you are going to come very close and you will do better on the ice vs an AWD vehicle with out snow tires. The only complaints I have are wear and they do not corner as well but neither of these observations surprised me at all. I suggest you pick up a set and see for your self.

...The snow and ice are where these really shine. I have to drive on unplowed roads, packed down snow, partially cleared roads, slush, ice, and you name it when winter arrives. They provide more grip than any other AWD on the road that are only using all season tires...

Best Blizzaks I've ever owned over several cars. These aren't as mushy as other snow tires I've had on other less performance oriented cars, maybe because these are meant for sport sedans, like my BMW 535d. They have very good responsiveness, yet have a very quiet, soft ride. The snow and ice are where these really shine. I have to drive on unplowed roads, packed down slow, partially cleared roads, slush, ice, and you name it when winter arrives. They provide more grip than any other AWD on the road that are only using all season tires. My fuel mileage only went down about 1.5 mpg, from about 39.5 to 39mpg out of my diesel BMW.

...The dry traction and handling is superior considering it is a winter tire.

Nice tire. Very responsive for a winter tire. Very little road noise at all. They have done well in light snow and ice. We have not had a heavy snow to try out the traction capabilities, but if they are anything like my former Blizzak tires I expect that they will perform very well. The dry traction and handling is superior considering it is a winter tire.

...This car only gets about 8000 miles of use a year so tread wear is of lesser concern than the benefits of the run-flat design and winter traction (and so far I'm not really noticing much wear on the LM001's).

The MME OEM tires were 225/55R19 Michelin Primacy A/S. Certainly this relatively narrow section width was selected to help the battery range on the MME, but I believe they contributed to the car being easily pushed around by cross winds and the car being not particularly great at cornering. Early on I got a set of 245/50R19 Pirelli's and wider rims from Tire Rack that greatly reduced these two problems (even if it might have cost me perhaps 5% battery range). As this car is my wife's daily driver and the car doesn't carry a spare I also went with a run-flat tire model. And, as the car is RWD and the Pirelli's were pretty much a summer tread (and I am a long time fan of Blizzaks) we got these run-flat Bridgestone Blizzak LM001's for winter driving. They've maintained the handling improvements over the OEM tires and even being wider they offer much better snow and ice traction than the narrower OEMs. So, overall they've given me a lot of piece of mind with my wife driving the MME in the winter. This car only gets about 8000 miles of use a year so tread wear is of lesser concern than the benefits of the run-flat design and winter traction (and so far I'm not really noticing much wear on the LM001's).

...Not sure if they wear as fast as regular Blizzaks... How they age I don't know yet...

Been a long time Blizzak user on my other cars. First time with RunFlat snow tires in our new to us MiniCooper. They are much stiffer and not as squashy when cornering, unlike regular Blizzaks WS-90s. They are super quiet and again, corner really well. Not sure if they wear as fast as regular Blizzaks. As most Blizzak owners know, Blizzaks are freakishly sticky on ice and snow when new. How they age I dont know yet, but so far I would give them a very strong recommendation.
