The Solus TA11 is Kumho's Standard Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of subcompacts and sedans, as well as mini-vans and small crossover vehicles looking for comfort and lasting value. Designed for cost-conscious drivers, the Solus TA11 is designed to provide traction on all roads and in all seasons, even in light snow.
Kumho's advanced all-season carbon compound is molded into a mildly asymmetric tread pattern to reduce noise and vibration while delivering all-weather traction. Notched shoulders and four circumferential grooves evacuate water to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet traction while integrated zigzag sipes create tiny gripping edges to increase traction in wet and wintry conditions.
Kumho's ESCOT Casing Technology optimizes sidewall cord tension distribution to promote steering response and treadlife. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon belt edge layers to provide high-speed stability. Use of jointless bead bundles help isolate bumps and vibration for a smoother, quieter ride.

The Give and Take of All-Season Tires(06:06)
Firestone's newest, the Champion Fuel Fighter, joins some very popular tires in the touring all-season category. And with all-season tires, there's a lot of give and take when it comes to design and engineering before you get a tire that's good in all seasons.
Has Firestone delivered a lot of give with very little take? Let's find out.
Customer ratings showcase the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 as an outstanding winter tire, with snow traction (9-10 scores) and deep snow performance frequently praised as confidence-inspiring. Wet traction and hydroplaning resistance earn strong marks (7-10), while dry handling remains reliable for winter conditions. Comfort receives positive feedback for smoothness, though a few note moderate road noise. Ice traction shows variability-most rate it 7-10, but occasional lower scores (3-5) suggest mixed experiences on sheer ice. Treadwear opinions split: some report excellent durability (9-10), while others note faster wear (0-5), a common trade-off for aggressive winter compounds. Ideal for drivers prioritizing snow dominance and balanced wet/dry winter performance.

The price was a bargain at aournd $100 each. Performance so far in both warm and cool weather and in a driving rainstorm at highway speed has been very good. Very quite for a snow tire; given how quite the running noise is in a Telsa Model S it would be obvious if noisy. Looking forward to testing in the snow this winter. We typically don't use this set of wheels/tires during warm weather.

...I'm 62 years old and I'm telling you these tires are the best I have ever gotten. You can really feel the difference. I live out in a rural area that has a lot of hills and you really need snow tires if you want to get around...
I actually just bought these tires, so haven’t really worn them out yet. I had a pair of previously on my last car and use them all winter long. I ended up totaling that vehicle so I needed to purchase another pair of snow tires. I ordered these because the last person I had was incredibly good. I’ve had many snow tires over my life. I’m 62 years old and I’m telling you these tires are the best I have ever gotten. You can really feel the difference. I live out in a rural area that has a lot of hills and you really need snow tires if you want to get around. They are great and I recommend them to anybody that is in need of a good snow tire

Excellent winter performance... Perfect snow tire for a performance vehicle.
Excellent winter performance. Excellent dry road performance too. The only difference from a summer tire is less precise handling and steering precision compared to a summer tire, still orders of magnitude better in those categories compared to other snow tires. Perfect snow tire for a performance vehicle.

...But in dry, cold conditions, it was as good as the summer tires that came with the car. Slightly noisier, but great performance accelerating, cornering, and braking.
I ended up trading the car a few weeks after replacing the tires so I have limited experience with them, and none in snow/ice. But in dry, cold conditions, it was as good as the summer tires that came with the car. Slightly noisier, but great performance accelerating, cornering, and braking.

Surprising dry performance for a snow tire. Less grip in corners and easier to kick out the back end. An aggressive 1-2 shift can break the rear end loose at relatively high speed...

Best operated with traction control on all the time, but overall a great option for those who need a snow tire but don’t want to sacrifice their driving experience.

...So far, after just 500 miles, I'm not finding anything about these tires on the Lexus to disappoint... the tires are smooth, stable and perform well with ice and snow.
I have a lot of experience with Blizzaks on several vehicles, so when I got this Lexus NX 350h AWD recently I had no doubt I would have Blizzaks installed for winter driving. So far, after just 500 miles, I'm not finding anything about these tires on the Lexus to disappoint. Will update later with more miles driven, but so far, the tires are smooth, stable and perform well with ice and snow.

...Initially, they delivered everything I expected from a premium winter tire - excellent traction on snow and ice, a smooth and quiet ride, and solid handling in wet and slushy conditions...
I am base in Utah and do a lot of driving to ski - early mornings and in the evenings - generally when road conditions are not ideal. I had high hopes for the Bridgestone Blizzak tires when I first bought them. Initially, they delivered everything I expected from a premium winter tire — excellent traction on snow and ice, a smooth and quiet ride, and solid handling in wet and slushy conditions. I felt confident driving in harsh winter weather, and they performed exceptionally well for the first couple of months.
However, after just around 5,000 miles, I noticed a significant decline in performance. The tread wore down much faster than I anticipated, and the grip on snow and ice wasn’t nearly as reliable as it was initially.
If you’re looking for short-term winter performance, the Blizzaks are fantastic. But if durability and longevity are important, you might want to explore other options. I wish they had lasted longer because they performed so well at the start, but the rapid wear makes them hard to justify for the cost.

This is a good tire for the Midwest, wear life is short however the grip is very good. It’s a choice for living in the Midwest to know that you will have a dependable tire for all weather. I personally don’t care about the tread life, the driver is worth more than that and that’s why I purchase this brand. Some folks change these out from winter to summer but that’s not worth the time and expense to myself, just run them.
