The Transforce HT w/UNI-T is Firestone's Commercial Highway All-Season tire developed to combine comfort with light truck tire capability for sport utility vehicle, pickup, van and commercial vehicle drivers. The Transforce HT is designed primarily for on-road use by providing predictable handling and year-round traction on dry and wet roads, as well as in light snow.
On the outside, Transforce HT radials feature an all-season Long Link Carbon tread compound molded into a symmetric tread design that uses notched shoulders, independent intermediate tread blocks and a continuous center rib to blend handling, foul weather traction and straight line tracking. Wide circumferential grooves provide hydroplaning resistance while lateral grooves and multiple sipes provide the biting edges needed to enhance light snow traction. On the inside, twin steel belts reinforced by spiral-wrapped nylon help maintain the tire's shape to enhance performance at highway speeds while a polyester cord body enhances ride quality.

...Amazing difference in traction on ice and snow. I was blown away by how good these things performed here in Minnesota.

Living driving in Northern Michigan during some crazy snow this past month with these tires on ice, slush, heavy wind drifting snow, up and down snow and ice covered hills, driving a front wheel drive GTI with VDS+ am extremely impressed and have total confidence in these Blizzak WS90 snow tires. Have also traveled for an hour at 76mph at 30 and 40 degrees F on 4 occasions and impressed with the ride quality and lack of noise. First week went down a slippery mud 2-track along a riverbank with total confidence. If I had an Audi Allroad these Blizzaks would be great All Terrain tire. One other bit of awesomeness = Tirerack mounted, balanced and shipped these with wheels to my home all wrapped up safe'like with no damage. Beauty eh! ~AspoZpeedo

The lack of grip from these tires in normal cold wet or dry conditions is alarming. They're fine in the city but at highway speeds in the mountains the Continental Viking Contact 7 was a more confidence inspiring tire...
The lack of grip from these tires in normal cold wet or dry conditions is alarming. They're fine in the city but at highway speeds in the mountains the Continental Viking Contact 7 was a much more confidence inspiring tire. These tires are probably better suited to a non-performance vehicle.

...On warm dry pavement they feel a little spongy and have longer stopping distance compared to my Michelin Pilot Sport all-weather performance tires, but that's completely expected and not a fair comparison...
Fantastic snow tires! Completely confident feel, even in slick or slushy snow, and in deep snow drives almost like on tarmac. Much better performance than expected. Only slippage I've experienced so far has been with an ice underlayer, and even then it was minimal and quickly regained traction. Have not yet experienced sheet ice with these tires on, but if there's anything at all on the surface to grab onto then I feel like these tires would grab onto it and hold. Cannot recommend them more highly as snow tires. (On warm dry pavement they feel a little spongy and have longer stopping distance compared to my Michelin Pilot Sport all-weather performance tires, but that's completely expected and not a fair comparison. Just something to be aware of if switching to these tires before the snow arrives.)

...They do ride very comfortably compared to the Michelin as well, but have reduced turn in response.
First things I noticed are these grip very well in the dry and light snowpack. Noticeable difference compared to Michelin X-ices. Once we get some deeper snow and ice I'll see how they do, but I expect they will be good in those conditions too. They do ride very comfortably compared to the Michelin as well, but have reduced turn in response.

...Even the treadwear is excellent for a winter tire...
These tires are outstanding. About as close as you can get to driving on dry pavement. I have them on my Infiniti G37xs, and they work great. Even the treadwear is excellent for a winter tire. My work van has studded tires and even these work better than those tires do.

...I've used my Blizzak WS90 tires, Bridgestone's studless ice and snow winter tires, for a total of seven winter seasons... Hopefully, this second set will last me another seven winter seasons!
This is my second set of tires on my 2014 Hyundai Elantra. I first purchased these tires back in November 2017 here in Pasco, Washington. We get a good amount of snow in our area between November and February.
I’ve used my Blizzak WS90 tires, Bridgestone’s studless ice and snow winter tires, for a total of seven winter seasons. Today, December 7, 2024, I got my second set installed. I have zero complaints about this brand—they handle exceptionally well on ice and snow. I couldn’t imagine driving without them. Hopefully, this second set will last me another seven winter seasons!
