Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Crossover & SUV Tires in P285/45R22

Pleasantly surprised by these tires. Am a vehicle enthusiast who works on my own cars and am extremely hard on my cars - I push them to the limit in terms of acceleration, handling, and towing. I have used Michelin tires on my vehicles for the last 20 years or so because I've had great experience with them in extreme conditions and they hold up to my aggressive use of my vehicles. We purchased this vehicle used and it came with these Bridgestones.

I may be reconsidering my stance on only buying Michelin tires - these Bridgestones have been incredible.

Great in the dry - we have very twisty back roads near my house and these handle very very well. I don't push big vehicle like this to the limit in turns...but the Bridgestones on our Escalade ESV seem to handle dry conditions just as well as the Michelins on our Suburban.

Incredible in the rain - just got back from a 350 mile round trip in torrential rain and I was able to set the cruise at 85mph. I couldn't believe it. Only hydroplaned in a few spots where the drainage systems couldn't keep up...and even then I only had to slow down to 75 to maintain contact with the road.

Impressive in deep snow - we had a surprise 6-8 inch storm this past winter and I took my son to go skiing. The highways were a mess with accidents so I stuck to back roads - many of which were not plowed. The vehicle had zero issues navigating 6 inch unplowed wet/heavy snow for many, many miles.

I'd estimate the tires have about 20k miles on them. The fronts have a 2022 date code and the rears 2018. Carfax says "2 tires mounted" in 2022 when vehicle had 20k less miles on it...so I'm guessing 2 tires have 20k and the other 2 may have more miles on them. All 4 tires currently have 7/32" tread.

Will definitely consider buying these again!

The reviews sum this tire up correctly - very smooth and comfortable ride, great wet and dry traction. A little road noise hum but that is expected with new tires. Gas mileage increased by 1.5 per gallon on average - in a full sized truck that is a nice perk.

My truck has 300000 miles on it . The only tires that have been used are these duelers. Excellent wear averaging 50-60000 miles. I usually replace them early for better traction during the winter. I have driven them through 1+ feet of snow on the highway, heavy slush and icy conditions without slowing down. I’m the guy blowing by you because these tires are so good. Heavy rain does not phase these tires either. Can’t wait for a nice snowy winter!!!Great handling and quiet if that’s important.

I had the Dueler Alenza tires on my old Land Rover 4. I had them in rainy Florida and they were excellent in all areas, especially hydroplaning.

We got a new Land Rover Discovery full-size and we were about to return the car because of the steering, roll of the car on slight turns, and terrible hydroplaning. It occurred to me that maybe the tires were the problem.

We ordered the tires from Tire Rack, the pricing was great, and they came on time without any issue, perfectly delivered, and put them on the car. It was 180° difference in driving, no more body roll in the corners, great traction on the road, snow, ice, rain. These tires are used up north instead of snow tires at times. I highly recommend Tire Rack and I highly recommend the Alenza tires for SUV's.

Bridgestone Alenza H/L 275/55/R20 113T original factory installed tires , have been excellent. Had the Ram now for 5 years this past December and have approximately 49,750 miles on them. Ive driven from NYC to FL, UT, CO and plenty of shorter trips to adjacent states and I've had zero incident and still have 7/32 tread on them. Super quiet on the highway and smooth road handling. Ive gone off road in UT, but on hard dirt surface, these aren't meant for extreme off road. Drive Safe and enjoy the ride.

To start I never write reviews. 9 years ago I was introduced to this tire for my first 2011 ram 1500 I put a set on and it changed the ride from a truck to a Cadillac I love these Dueler Alenza HL H114 In 45 years I have never driven on a better tire. In 2015 Tires plus told me that this tire was discontinued they came out with the Dueler Alenza plus it ----ed after 12,000 miles it was so hard and the noise was so loud I took them back I went Michelin defender LTX they ----ed after 15000 miles just like the plus noise and hard. When I saw they were available I jumped on it even though my LTX only had 20,000 miles I didn't care. I put these tires on the next day I received them I had waited 5 years for this day Discount tire said they were 2 years old and would ride hard I know this tire I have bought 4 sets and got 80,000 miles out of every set but the ride is like driving on butter. I had the rim match done this is when they match the tire to the rim before adding lead weights is the best way for true balance then I put nitrogen in this will keep the tire pressure much more consistent for long life I always rotated at 5000 miles now I will rotate at 4000 because they are DISCONTINUED WHY this is the best tire ever made again 45 years I have been driving this is the best tire ever. I wanted to really test the balance out I was on the hwy no other cars on the road no cops and got up to 110 MPH for a mile or 2 the passenger seat was like I was sitting still it was amazing and super quiet the handling around turns at high speed is awesome. Im very picky I put Bilstein 5100 shocks on they road like a tank went back to stock shocks and added a Helwig sway bar now my truck is a dream to drive but I wish Bridgestone would bring these tires back hands down this is the most comfortable quiet tire ever made and they screwed it up with the PLUS version PLEASE BRING BACK THIS TIRE PLEASE I almost bought 2 sets of 4 this is the best kept secret in tires I'm missing this tire.

These tires came stock in my 2021 Tundra crewmax Trd Sport. After driving them for almost 20,000 miles they seem to be wearing well. Currently at 8/32nds. Rotation every 5k miles per dealer. Tires are comfortable despite being on a 20" wheel. Zero road noise from what i can tell. I reside in Texas so very limited Rain experience but from the little rain they have seen, they seem to handle wet roads very well. Overall excellent tire with really zero complaints at the moment. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another set. Not sure why so many people are getting terrible wear on these. They must drive them VERY hard.

T/wears excellent if you keep up your (high speed) balance/rotate. Comfort/noise I rated it 9 because after driving 44,087 miles I can hear a low noise at low speed. Cornering responds and stability is near perfect. Highly recommended!!

OEM tire on 2020 RAM 1500 Laramie Quad Cab. Good all around tire, worked well for city/highway commuting, as well as towing our 7k travel trailer.
We run a dedicated winter set, so cannot speak to deep snow performance, but this tire has proven to be smooth, quiet, and offered good handling for a highway light truck/SUV tire. If I wasn't interesting in trying a tire that was both XL rated and more prioritized handling (oxymoron in a 6000# pickup?) I would buy these again. Who knows, my go back.

These tires were OE on my wife's Enclave. Great ride and handling up to around 40K miles. Noticeable issues with hydroplaning started at that point. Wear is good - plenty of tread remaining. We live in the mid-south, so winter is rain and wet roads rather than snow or ice. When those conditions do occasionally occur, we simply drive a 4wd vehicle, so can't provide any info on how well these tires perform in those conditions. Even very shallow water areas on roadway will require immediate corrective steering to stay in control. The newer Alenza Plus has a better wet traction rating, but not sure I will go back to Bridgestone.

At 23000 miles tires make so much noise, and are cupped or scalloped on edges. Rotate them every 7500 miles and check air pressure monthly, had alignment checked recently and vehicle was not out of alignment. This will be the last set of bridgestone tires on any of my vehicles.

Bought the vehicle used eight years ago (2014 Yukon Denali) with these Bridgestone tires installed.
I've driven 43,000 miles and they still have 6/32 to 5.5/32 left. According to manufacturing Date Stamp, tires are now ten years old, with enough tread to keep going.
I'm using Tire Rack's survey responses to decide which to buy next. The Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 is my current selection
