Bridgestone  Dueler H/L Alenza

Just replaced my Goodyear factory tires (got 35K out of them) with the Bridgestone Alenzas (235/55/18). Had them in play for the last two months in what has been Chicago's 9th worst winter. Lots of snow and ice. Observations - on dry pavement performance/handling equal to or slightly better than the OE Goodyear Tires. Mileage about the same - maybe slightly better. However, when on wet pavement the tires stick like glue. In snow up to 10" the RX400h didn't even hesitate - just went right on through. Got out of my driveway after the plows put more snow on it that the weather without a loss of traction. Braking and acceleration were as close to normal as you could reasonably expect in snow. On ice - I actually had some traction. In a word - terrific. No regrets.

Bought these to replace the OEM Goodyear Eagles. The Goodyear's were on for 30,000 miles, but they should have been replaced at 20,000. The Bridgestones are far superior in almost every aspect. Perhaps the softer rubber on the Goodyear's may have made the SUV a little stickier on a racetrack, but I don't drive on one. I have never noticed that the Bridgestones were lacking grip on any surface. Lots of snow and cold temperatures in my neck of the woods; these tires inspire confidence in any weather. If I had to say anything negative, they might be a tad louder than the Goodyears, but well within the level of acceptability. After 68,000 miles on them, it's time for a new set. You bet I'll get them again!

These tires replaced Goodyear Eagles which were like trying to steer a noisey sled.

I now have a quiet ride that provides outstanding traction and tire wear. The tires are pricey, but worth the price so far. One of the best tires Ive owned !

Excellent tires for all season driving. Main reason I am submitting this review is to provide a positive feedback on their handling in the snow. We have encountered a major snow storm here on the east coast and these tires (4wd mode vehicle) handled excellent. Most roads were not cleaned and these tires got me through over a foot deep snow without any issues. Would definitely buy again.

Great set of tires. They came factory on my Tahoe and they perform very well.Living in MN I see the extremes of weather conditions. When braking on hard pack snow the anti-locks rarely kick in. On ice they do kick in more often but would expect that with any tire unless it is a winter tire. Accelerating in snow I rarely have the traction control come on unless I really hammer the pedal down. Have 32,000 miles and over half the tread left. My wife had factory Yokohama's on her Rav4 and they were terrible. Bought her a set of Dueler H/L Alenza's and she has been very happy with them as well. Definitely recommend these tires.

These tires really are going the distance. with over 61,000 miles on them today they still have over 7/32" of tread left. They have the same feel as when I first got them. Hydroplaning has never been an issue, Winter snow and ice haven't given me any surprises, and they've worn evenly (I rotate every 8-10m miles and check pressure every 2-4 weeks). Unfortunately one tire received a nail in the sidewall so I must replace them.



If they were priced in line with the Kumho's I'd buy them again!

I just purchased 4 Bridgestone Dueler Alenza for my 2004 Volvo XC90. I had read many reviews and these were rated tops. I am so happy I bought them. They give a smooth ride, hold the road beautifully both on dry and snowy surfaces---we just had a slush/ice storm, and the tires held the road perfectly. The ride is quiet and very comfortable. I would recommend them to any Volvo XC 90 owner. They are slightly larger than the tires that came on the car, but I was told the difference was insignificant; I havent noticed a problem.

Replaced the factory standard BFGs. The Bridgestones offer better on and off road capabilities. Shorter stopping distances in dry and wet conditions, better handling, responsiveness and better traction in the mud and on wet rocks. One thing I was really suprised about was the reduction in road noise. Definetly better over all in quality and feel than even my Mich Cross Terr on our Honda Pilot. If you want the best and price is not a concern the Bridgestones should be at the top of your list.

A smoother riding tire than the Michelins that came on my vehicle but I have lost 1 1/2 to 2 miles per gallon since having these tires installed and I had the same exact size tire put back on the car that the factory installed !! Good handling , quiet tire but they have a more aggressive look to them than the factory styled Micleins that were on the vehicle . Would recommend to any SUV owner .

Exceptional tire. Purchased tires at 33,463 and sold the Jeep at 87,300 (53827 miles) and the tires still had approx 6/7 32nds on them. I could have probably got close to 100,000 miles on them if I wouldn't of trade the Jeep in. Never had any problems with road noise. Could not believe the wet traction; it got to the point I would try to find water puddles to drive through to see if it would have any resistance to hydroplaning and had zero issues. Overall the road comfort was great. Would definitely purchase these tires on any Truck/SUV.

I'm into my third year with these tires and without doubt I am looking to do the same again. It's as if they were designed for the F150, it's made the truck even nicer to drive. I rotate front to back every 10,000 Klm and I have never had to re-balance them. Unbelievably quiet, round, smooth and predictable in any conditions.

Bought these tires to replace my OEM Yokohama G91 - which lasted way above average and were a good tire but quite noisy. Read all the great reviews on Tirerack and decided to try them. These tires are much smoother and quieter. After the initial break in period, the tires feel much smoother now and very comfortable to ride on. The tires also have good grip. I agree with other reviewers that this is one of Bridgestone's best products and one of the best buys in its segment.

When my Cayenne S was new it ate the tires that came with it i.e. Continental...relpacing them every 20,000 miles. These Bridgestones are by far the best tire for this Porsche model, period! I am going on 50,000 miles on these tires and I still have tread left. Handling is good and they are not noisey even down to this wear level. I will be purchasing these same tires again, hands down! We only buy our tires from Tire Rack...they are the best!

I HAVE PURCHASED BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/L ALENZA FOR TWO VEHICLES (BOTH OF WHICH I DRIVE LIKE I STOLE THEM) AND AFTER 38753 MILES ON ONE AND 52800 MILES ON ANOTHER THERE IS STILL 9/32NDS AND 7/32NDS OF TREAD RESPECTIVELY. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS TIRE. WET AND DRY TRACTION ARE AMAZING AND ROAD NOISE IS NON EXISTING. I HAVE HAD THE MICHELIN LTX AND THE GOODYEAR INTEGRITY ON THESE VEHICLES AND THE DIFFERENCE IS NIGHT AND DAY. BRIDGESTONE SURE GOT THIS ONE RIGHT!!

I have now had two sets of these tires on my Highlander. I have gotten 60,000 miles out of each set. Good on wet and dry roads. Quiet good handling tire. I was surprised how long they have lasted in the heat of the Florida roads. Most tires don't wear this well. Very even wearing tire. Would buy again for the third time.
