Most customers rate wet traction highly, with scores of 8-10 highlighting confident wet braking and hydroplaning resistance. Some lower scores indicate occasional concerns, but overall performance suits all-season Crossover/SUV use.

...The wet traction has been decent. I have not had any problems even in heavy rain at highway speeds...
These Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport AS tires came stock on my 2012 CR-V. We purchased the vehicle in May 2012. The dry handling of the tire is good. I don't find the tire to be loud. The wet traction has been decent. I have not had any problems even in heavy rain at highway speeds. The first snow was a different story. We had about 3 inches of snow here on the first snow of the season. I was not confident at all in these tires. Snow traction is horrible. Braking in the snow is just as bad. The tration control and ABS kick in conyinually. I would not expect this from an all-season tire at all. These tires are not great at all if you are looking for all-season performance like they state. If you won't be driving in snow, they are an okay option. That said, there are plenty of other options that would surpass this tire in every aspect for a lot less money. I would not recommend this tire.

...Wet and dry performance is fine, and I've done a lot of wet driving on these tires in the Pacific Northwest...
The tire is a little loud as others have mentioned, but nothing terrible. Maybe if I replaced with a much quieter tire I would suddenly notice a massive difference but they're OK as it stands. Wet and dry performance is fine, and I've done a lot of wet driving on these tires in the Pacific Northwest.
The main issue is snow. The tires, and I'm not over exaggerating here, feel treacherous in the snow. Even driving in light snow at very reasonable speeds (the same as everyone else on the road, and I've done a lot of snow driving to know) was awful. Braking response was bad, and the ABS would kick in quickly when I did a traction check. It's also the only time the car has ever used its vehicle stability/dynamics control thing, multiple times. I was legitimately scared and glad to get off the pass and down in elevation. All this was a week after taking off the snow tires due to it being the end of the legal studded tire season, so it was a spring time snow event east of the mountains here. It was normal snow, not slushy, fairly dry stuff actually considering the location.
My advice: if you have these tires on your car think very carefully about driving in the snow. If you do, go slower than everyone else and do occasional traction checks (braking to the ABS limit, *carefully*, with nobody behind you) so you know how much traction you have (likely very little). If you plan on doing regular driving in the snow please get better all-season or even basic and cheap snow tires as they will save your life. Again, these tires are treacherous on the snow!

...I am a very spirited driver - 80mph + n the rain, and I pass people habitually in snow. I have never had any issues with poor response, lack of traction or the like...
I'm seeing several reviewers complain about wet/snow traction of these tires - even from Outback owners - so unless the two Outbacks I owned were super-powered, I believe 99% of it is user-error. I am a very spirited driver - 80mph + n the rain, and I pass people habitually in snow. I have never had any issues with poor response, lack of traction or the like. Some of the cars I see listed do have inferior "awd" systems, so that's part of it. With that said, even when driving through snow (both packed, and unpacked), never had any issues unless I buried myself. As for wear and tear, my last set lasted the entirety of my lease (36k) and still had just under 50% tread left, and again, that's with driving my Outback like it's a sports car. All in all, I like this tire - a little on the pricier side, but infinitely better than some of the other tires I've driven on.

Most customers rate comfort highly with scores 7-10, praising smooth ride and noise reduction. High marks (9s/10s) highlight excellent refinement for Crossover/SUV use. Some variability in noise ratings noted, but overall positive feedback.

...Still some road noise but the tread wear and ride is excellent...
Never liked Bridgestone before on a 2009 CRV. However, this model is much better on the 2012 CRV. Still some road noise but the tread wear and ride is excellent. This tire is the original tire.

Winter traction ratings for the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport AS show concerning scores, with many customers giving 0-6 for ice and snow performance. Frequent reports of slippery conditions, loss of traction, and getting stuck highlight its lack of winter capability. While a few scores reach 7-10, most indicate unacceptable snow and ice handling.

Tires came with brand new 2015 CRV -- first two winters proved them to be horrible tires. Seem fine in non snow or ice conditions, tho.

These came on my 2012 CR-V and I'm ready for something better (that's why I'm here). I'm in SE MI. I was shocked how bad these tires were in light snow. I have the AWD version of the CR-V and really like the vehicle overall but I agree with several other reviewers that these tires are poor in light snow. I thought my traction control was off or malfunctioning.
As far as thread wear goes; they're okay. I have 38k on them and there's at least another 10k left on them. I don't want to face another winter with them, though.
I think these tires are noisy. I wouldn't mind the noise if they were good in the snow.
I don't know what to purchase as a replacement. The reviews on here are all over the place. I can't believe how people can have such different experiences on the same tire and vehicle. I'm a good driver (no accidents or tickets in 35 years) and I logged a lot of miles (over 30k a year on average). This is my first AWD vehicle and was expecting awesome snow performance. Not so with these OEMs.

Treadwear ratings show a split: some 9s/10s, but many 0-6 scores. Customers report rapid wear, premature replacement, and disappointment in tread life for this all-season SUV tire.

Terrible treadwear !!! The worst treadware of any tires I have bought in the past 20 years...
Had to replace all 4 tires at 18,000 miles on a 2017 Subaru Outback..
Subaru makes a good car but offers very poor grade tires as original equipment.
Just one more note.. The original tires come with a ZERO , (THATS RIGHT ) ZERO MILEAGE GUARANTEE !!!
Buyer BEWARE !!!

...After 28,000 mi and shoulders are down to treadwear indicators... My kids and/or dog were in the car most of the time so cornering was modest and unlikely to blame for much of the treadwear.
OEM tire on a 2 year old vehicle driven mostly for commuting in rainy Seattle. 28,000 mi to-date and shoulders are down to treadwear indicators. Tires were rotated 5 times, inflation pressure was maintained to 39PSI. My kids and/or dog were in the car most of the time so cornering was modest and unlikely to blame for much of the treadwear. Alignment hasn't been checked but will do so when I change to new tires.
Outside of excessive treadwear, performance through standing water isn't great. This is the heaviest SUV I've owned but the only one which has hydroplaned.

These were original equipment and I am not impressed with them, at around 19,500 miles my service guy told me that my tires were at 5 to 6/32. They were rotated at each 5,000 mile mark. On icy roads they are the worst tires I have ever been on, they groove worse than a needle on a record (old school). Can't get them off my outback soon enough.
