Ratings Charts & Reviews Bridgestone Dueler H/T D684 II
Ratings indicate the Bridgestone Dueler H/T D684 II delivers strong dry traction (scores 8-10) and a comfortable ride, with many praising its smooth handling on highways. However, treadwear raises concerns, with frequent mentions of rapid wear and lower-than-expected tread life. Winter traction and wet performance show mixed results, with some drivers noting reduced confidence in snowy or heavy rain conditions. While dry performance stands out as a strength, the tire’s all-season capability is tempered by inconsistent wet and winter scores, suggesting it may fall short for drivers prioritizing year-round versatility in challenging weather.

...They are quiet and have given me no problems with loss of traction on wet or dry hard surfaces...
These tires were OEM on my 2008 Tacoma Double Cab. It is a TRD Sport...thus the highway tires. I have been very pleased with the performance of these tires during my time of ownership. They are quiet and have given me no problems with loss of traction on wet or dry hard surfaces. I do a small amount of off road driving during deer season here in Alabama and though I have never gotten stuck, they don't really shine in this area...but in fairness, they aren't designed to be an off road tire.
The tires have worn very evenly, and at 53K they still have at least another 5K left though I will likely replace them sooner. For a replacement tire I will go with an All Terrain for this truck, but if I had a SUV or 2WD truck I would have no problem going with these tires again.

...i went out into the country in the pouring down rain took off hard and fast from several stop signs while turning hard and could barely get the tires to break traction and couldn't get the back end to fish tail at all and i was in two wheel drive with stabil track turned off...
I just purchased a used 2006 gmc envoy that had a brand new set of the brigestone ht 2 on it i decided to get on this site and check out the reviews on the tire on wet and snowy roads all the reviews i read were very bad for snow and wet roads just happend to be that it was poring down rain outside when i was reading this review so i decided to go out and see for myself how bad and scary these tires were on wet roads im an experienced driver and have driven all kinds of 4 wheel drive vehicals on and off road since 1977 so i let these tires have my envoy has a 291 hp straight line six vortec engine with plenty of torque and sponke when you put the pedle down i went out into the country in the pouring down rain took off hard and fast from several stop signs while turning hard and could barely get the tires to break traction and couldnt get the back end to fish tail at all and i was in two wheel drive with stabil track turned off then i got up to like 65 to 70 miles an hour and hit podles of water and could get no signs of the hydro planing all the bad reviews talked abought i have not yet got the chance to try the tires out on snow and ice but i will in 2 months or so and update my review the only thing i can figure out abought why everyone else had such bad times on wet roads is that all there tires had like anywhere from like 18000 to 55ooo sounds like these tires show considerable where in most cases by like 25000 miles so naturally if most your tread is gone by 25000 you arnt going to get much traction on anything all i know is my tires with only 500 miles on them done great on wet roads i guess the only bad thing is how long is that great traction going to last maybe only up to 15000 time and mileage will tell ill have to keep you all updated.

...I live in Atlanta so I have little feedback for snow or ice and our roads are pretty good here ( minus our terrible traffic) so no big complaints on ride, noise or even handling on a big heavy SUV...
OEMs on my QX56 with the optional 22". New from my 06 QX that tread life would be lucky to see 30k but didn't expect being near bald at 22k. The worst part is they are the only tires that will fit the 22 Infiniti option wheels so I have no choice.

Bridgestone, you have to step up on fortifying the compounds for these tire on bigger trucks. Most of the negative reviews seem to be from the bigger mix of trucks or the heavy ones at least. Yes I know physics plays a role here but you got Tacomas and others getting 4 and 5 times the wear we are getting. Offer a longer life optional tire with maybe sacrificing some ride quality.

These are OEM for the Saturn Vue and will be replacing them with another tire with the hope of finding a more comfortable ride. Ive found these tires to be loud and harsh in both city and highway driving, which makes for uncomfortable for trips. Granted, the Vue is not the quietest vehicle on the market, but the road noise is sometimes unbearable and I believe much of it has to do with the tires. The treadwear had been good, however, especially considering that I havent rotated them as frequently as I should have.

Mixed results for wet traction with concerning scores between 0-6. Some drivers report slippery handling and a tendency to hydroplane, indicating mediocre wet performance for this all-season highway tire. Needs improvement.

...These tires provide very little traction in the wet weather and gave me no confidence in my ability to hold any type of traction...
Took delivery of my 2015 Silverado with these tires as stock. Drove the truck for 600 miles and immediately decided to look for new tires. These tires provide very little traction in the wet weather and gave me no confidence in my ability to hold any type of traction. I had no interest in finding out how these did in snow/winter conditions, but from the consumer reviews i've read, they are lousy. If you are considering this tire, definitely do your research and study the hoards of negative reviews out there on this tire. Yes, they are affordably priced and may seem tempting, but just remember that tires are the only thing touching the road on your vehicle...so don't cheap out on a tire like this...

...Performance in almost every situation other than dry pavement these tires are sub par to downright awful! Wet/Snowy conditions are the worst. They break traction with little to no effort and can even feel dangerous in these conditions...
These are the tires that came on my stock truck. This is a company vehicle and used basically for city/highway driving it is by no means a work truck or anything like that. It is used to plow a few times a year here in Indiana but not very often. That being said, at 22000 miles, these tires are down to the wear indicators and shot. Performance in almost every situation other than dry pavement these tires are sub par to downright awful! Wet/Snowy conditions are the worst. They break traction with little to no effort and can even feel dangerous in these conditions. Although they do have a decent ride and wear evenly, 22000 miles on a set of tires with good driving conditions is not good at all. They also do have a good rolling resistance, so mileage is good with them, but there are much better tires for the money and with not much more you could have a way better tire.

Perhaps the worst tire I've ever owned with regards to traction. Extremely bad in snow and ice. I have a big 4WD and tiny little cars are handling snow/ice better than me. The only plus, if there is one, is tread wear is slightly above average. I would not recommend this tire to anyone.

Many customers report disappointing winter traction, with frequent scores between 0-6. Numerous ratings highlight slippery snow performance, lack of ice grip, and getting stuck in deep snow despite its all-season designation. Some note sketchy handling and unstable control in winter conditions.

i had these tires on my 98 ml and these tires are pretty bad. i thought they would be okay but apperantly they are not. they are okay in the rain, they are good in the dry and i feel a bit scary driving with them in the snow even though i have the ets abs and the AWD. i do not think i will get these tires again im thinking of getting the general grabbers at2. it will give my ml a meaner and bulkier look since im into off roading.

...The tire is labeled M+S, I would not put these on my wheelbarrow... This tire would not stop me on a snowy road. I hit the back of a bus going about 15mph...
bridgestone should be sued over this tire. The tire is labeled M+S, I would not put these on my wheelbarrow. I wished I would have kept my old chevy truck which had bf Goodrich long trails on it. I bought a new tundra that came with the bridgestones. I told the dealer I wanted bfg's put on it. They said these were good tires. They lied. If you click on survey on this tire you will see the ratings for snow and ice. This tire is 4.1 for ice traction. This tire would not stop me on a snowy road. I hit the back of a bus going about 15mph. I will never buy a new vehicle again. It amazes me that they would put junk on a $30000 vehicle.

The price is right but I would not recommend this tire unless you are trying to sell your vehicle. The treadwear is horrible. Despite regular rotations and alignment, the outside edges are feathered and the tread depth is far below what I would expect with 17K and regular maintenance. The Dueler HT 684II tires are treacherous on ice and packed snow. If it were not for traction control and ABS I would be far more nervous driving this vehicle in the winter. Spend the money on a better tire.
