Ratings Charts & Reviews Bridgestone Dueler H/T D684 II
Ratings indicate the Bridgestone Dueler H/T D684 II delivers strong dry traction (scores 8-10) and a comfortable ride, with many praising its smooth handling on highways. However, treadwear raises concerns, with frequent mentions of rapid wear and lower-than-expected tread life. Winter traction and wet performance show mixed results, with some drivers noting reduced confidence in snowy or heavy rain conditions. While dry performance stands out as a strength, the tire's all-season capability is tempered by inconsistent wet and winter scores, suggesting it may fall short for drivers prioritizing year-round versatility in challenging weather.

This tire is loud and dry traction is horrible...
This tire is loud and dry traction is horrible. Fronts are not wearing very well. To their credit, they seem to stay in balance nicely. Seem like they would do better on a little, light, japanese vehicle. My Suburban pushes them around like they are out of their league. Looking forward to replacing them with Goodyear or Michelin.

...very good to excellent traction wet, snow or dry...
Just finishing my second set of these Bridgestone Dueler HT's. They were original equipment when I bought my truck new. 140,000 on my '06 Chevy Z71 LT. The durability of this tire is amazing. Never a flat or issue with pressure. Always very good to excellent traction wet, snow or dry. I rotated every 7000 to 10,000 (every other oil change). I drive a split between highway and city, and in Wisconsin we have solid winters with plenty of snow. Only issue is as they get to the end of their life, cupping and road noise escalates. Minor issue. I'm certain the cupping on this last set is due to the fact I am in need of new shocks as well. However, this time I am looking very seriously at the Firestone Destination LE2. About $70 less per tire and the reviews look promising. I wouldn't consider another tire except that with finances tight, have to go with what is affordable as well. If I decide on the Firestones, I'll write on those as well.

...Excellent handling on highway while keep road noise very low... Firm sidewall corner almost like regular car!...
Tires came OEM with truck. Excellent handling on highway while keep road noise very low. More smoother than 2007 Lexus RX350. Firm sidewall corner almost like regular car! even I have tall sidewall(70) I keep reminding myself I'm driving a truck.

...They are quiet and have given me no problems with loss of traction on wet or dry hard surfaces...
These tires were OEM on my 2008 Tacoma Double Cab. It is a TRD Sport...thus the highway tires. I have been very pleased with the performance of these tires during my time of ownership. They are quiet and have given me no problems with loss of traction on wet or dry hard surfaces. I do a small amount of off road driving during deer season here in Alabama and though I have never gotten stuck, they don't really shine in this area...but in fairness, they aren't designed to be an off road tire.
The tires have worn very evenly, and at 53K they still have at least another 5K left though I will likely replace them sooner. For a replacement tire I will go with an All Terrain for this truck, but if I had a SUV or 2WD truck I would have no problem going with these tires again.

...I live in Atlanta so I have little feedback for snow or ice and our roads are pretty good here ( minus our terrible traffic) so no big complaints on ride, noise or even handling on a big heavy SUV...
OEMs on my QX56 with the optional 22". New from my 06 QX that tread life would be lucky to see 30k but didn't expect being near bald at 22k. The worst part is they are the only tires that will fit the 22 Infiniti option wheels so I have no choice.
I live in Atlanta so I have little feedback for snow or ice and our roads are pretty good here ( minus our terrible traffic) so no big complaints on ride, noise or even handling on a big heavy SUV.
Bridgestone, you have to step up on fortifying the compounds for these tire on bigger trucks. Most of the negative reviews seem to be from the bigger mix of trucks or the heavy ones at least. Yes I know physics plays a role here but you got Tacomas and others getting 4 and 5 times the wear we are getting. Offer a longer life optional tire with maybe sacrificing some ride quality.

Mixed results for wet traction with concerning scores between 0-6. Some drivers report slippery handling and a tendency to hydroplane, indicating mediocre wet performance for this all-season highway tire. Needs improvement.

...I have had them siped because of the poor handling in wet conditions, and this has helped somewhat, but water puddles can not be more than a quarter of an inch deep or the car will spin and slide sideways.
This original equipment tire has not performed well at all. I hate to replace it already, but I feel that the tires are dangerous and extremely noisy. I do not recommend this tire on this model vehicle. I have had them siped because of the poor handling in wet conditions, and this has helped somewhat, but water puddles can not be more than a quarter of an inch deep or the car will spin and slide sideways.

Many customers report disappointing winter traction, with frequent scores between 0-6. Numerous ratings highlight slippery snow performance, lack of ice grip, and getting stuck in deep snow despite its all-season designation. Some note sketchy handling and unstable control in winter conditions.

i feel scary driving with them in the snow even though i have the ets abs and the AWD...
i had these tires on my 98 ml and these tires are pretty bad. i thought they would be okay but apperantly they are not. they are okay in the rain, they are good in the dry and i feel a bit scary driving with them in the snow even though i have the ets abs and the AWD. i do not think i will get these tires again im thinking of getting the general grabbers at2. it will give my ml a meaner and bulkier look since im into off roading.

...The tire is labeled M+S, I would not put these on my wheelbarrow... This tire would not stop me on a snowy road. I hit the back of a bus going about 15mph...
bridgestone should be sued over this tire. The tire is labeled M+S, I would not put these on my wheelbarrow. I wished I would have kept my old chevy truck which had bf Goodrich long trails on it. I bought a new tundra that came with the bridgestones. I told the dealer I wanted bfg's put on it. They said these were good tires. They lied. If you click on survey on this tire you will see the ratings for snow and ice. This tire is 4.1 for ice traction. This tire would not stop me on a snowy road. I hit the back of a bus going about 15mph. I will never buy a new vehicle again. It amazes me that they would put junk on a $30000 vehicle.

...I didn't put enough miles on them to comment on treadwear, and after reading other reviews I'm glad I replaced them before winter hit...
These were OEM on my vehicle. I replaced them with only 834 miles on them. The noise from the tires were awful. Even after being road force balanced there was still a vibration in one of the tires, after the tires were removed from the wheel you could see marks on the inside wall of the tire and a noticable lump on the inside where they combined the tire. I replaced them with the Kumho Solus KR21's and I must say the difference is remarkable. It's hard to believe a manufacturer would spend the time to make a 5 star rated vehicle and put such crappy tires on it. I didn't put enough miles on them to comment on treadwear, and after reading other reviews I'm glad I replaced them before winter hit. Tires go a long way toward the safety of a vehicle, I did not feel safe on these tires.

While some rate treadwear highly with 8s and 10s, many report rapid wear, scoring 0-5. Disappointed in tread life, premature wear, and needing early replacement.

...Treadwear is terrible, as is traction on anything other than dry pavement...
This tire came as OEM with my VUE, and Im more than displeased with them. Treadwear is terrible, as is traction on anything other than dry pavement. Luckily this winter, I purchased the Winterforce M+S tire, and Im more than pleased. In any case, this Bridgestone is a waste of money. You get what you pay for...
