Highway All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of pleasant on-road characteristics, long wear and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. Highway All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD, light- and medium-duty vans, trucks and pickups, as well as crossover and sport utility vehicles.
O.E. Highway All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Customers think the Bridgestone Dueler H/T D687 delivers strong ride comfort and confident dry handling, with many highlighting smooth highway performance and responsive steering. However, treadwear scores show significant concerns about longevity, with frequent reports of premature wear. Winter traction receives mixed feedback, with some drivers noting adequate light-snow capability but inconsistent results in deeper snow or ice. Wet traction is another weak point, with hydroplaning resistance and grip in heavy rain often rated below average. While dry traction and comfort stand out as strengths, buyers prioritizing all-season versatility may find its winter and wet performance less reliable over time.

...Crisp handling, excellent response in evasive maneuvers...
These tires OE on the Forester. Crisp handling, excellent response in evasive maneuvers.
Driveway is 800 feet, paved, uphill (pretty steep at lower end) - no problem blowing through heavy snow drifts.
Happy with tire except for tread wear. This is not a cheap tire and at 27000 miles they are down to the wear markers. I will say that the wear is very even, across the tread, around the tire and from tire to tire. In the process of replacing with another brand. Been driving over 50 years, never had such poor tread wear.

...good dry longitudinal and cornering traction... very responsive handling -- quick vehicle yaw and lateral g response to steering inputs...
The Bridgestone Dueler H/T D687 (235/60 R16)was the OEM tire included in the optional alloy wheel (16x6.5) package offered by Toyota on the 2004 Rav4 4wd "L" version. I bought the vehicle new from the dealer with this wheel/tire package installed. Vehicle has been taken to that same dealer for all service per OEM recommendations. I am an average driver, all on-road driving in suburban/urban setting.
For the first 37,000 miles, the Duelers exhibited:
-good dry longitudinal and cornering traction
-very responsive handling -- quick vehicle yaw and lateral g response to steering inputs
-less vehicle roll during cornering than expected from Rav4, yet ride quality was good
-acceptable wet traction, a little hydroplaning
-poor snow/ice traction
-acceptable to low noise level
At 37,000 miles, I began to notice a lot of noise that was linearly related to vehicle speed. At 41,000 miles, fearing a drivetrain issue, I took the vehicle for service. The Toyota dealer told me the Duelers were slightly "cupped" causing the LOUD road noise. The tires were not visibly cupped that I could see, were worn evenly, and had been rotated on Toyota schedule by the dealer. I guess the noise is just what happens with wear = COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.
At 41,000 miles, the Duelers exhibited:
-75% wear which disappointed me
-worse snow/ice traction
-more hydroplaning
-LOUD noise (howl like a rabid pack of wolves)
-dry traction, handling, and ride were the same
It was difficult to carry on a conversation, my friends would ask me what was wrong with my car, and my boyfriend almost left me. I suffered with this terrible howling noise until 44,661 miles, when I had a set of Avon Ranger TSE tires (215/70 R16) installed. Now I love my Rav4 again. THE END

...But these tires make my RAV stick to the road in wet and dry days and they enhance stability and cornering. Well they already say the RAV is one of the best handling SUVs but maybe its the tires, too...
These tires are great for somewhere where it rarely or never snows and someone who wont take their truck throuh the beaten path. Our friends RAV4 went through some snow that ours wouldnt go through because they had better tires. But these tires make my RAV stick to the road in wet and dry days and they enhance stability and cornering. Well they already say the RAV is one of the best handling SUVs but maybe its the tires, too. Tread coud last a little longer, though. They also get re4al shiny when you polish them, and the treads are not very deep for off roading.

...If you are looking for a nice ride, I cant say more about these tires. Ride is my top priority, performance is secondary...
This is my third set of Dueler 687s. I am an average driver and use them mostly on road. If you are looking for a nice ride, I cant say more about these tires. Ride is my top priority, performance is secondary. There are lots of complaints about the length of service out there but hey, you are buying a tire with a 300 tread wear rating. This tire is not designed to last, it performs well in all other areas in my opinion and I buy them for the ride. If you want a high mileage tire dont by these. But remember that I high mileage tire has much harder rubber and therefore wont ride as nicely. So, those of you who complain about the tread wear have no one to blame except yourselfs. (if you are buying replacements) Before you buy, check the stats!

...This combination of tire and suspension is stiff over sharp bumps and pavement cracks. Road noise is what I consider normal...
56,000 miles: These tires were original equipment on my 2006 Toyota RAV4 Sport and currently have 1/8th inch tread depth remaining. The Duelers have provided good dry traction (the RAV4 is NOT a sporty car, but for an SUV it is fun to drive). I have had no problems with traction, cornering or stopping under normal driving conditions in rain or snow. I have towed trailers on interstate highways and mountain roads with no problems. This combination of tire and suspension is stiff over sharp bumps and pavement cracks. Road noise is what I consider normal. Overall, I have no complaints. These tires have served well enough in a very wide range of tasks.

...Nice compromise between ride comfort and performance. Driving the HL with these tires feels more like driving a car than an SUV...
OE equipment on our Highlander. Decent tire handles nice on dry pavement. Nice compromise between ride comfort and performance. Driving the HL with these tires feels more like driving a car than an SUV. If the tread wear was longer, I would probably buy again. I found out this winter that I should have replaced these about 10K miles ago (they have 42K now). Rotated every 7500 miles and vehicle is in good alignment.

...Decent dry traction but that was it. below average wet traction, practically no traction in any type of snow...
OE on our 2007 RAV4; one of the worst tires ever on any car owned in the past 40 years.
Decent dry traction but that was it. below average wet traction, practically no traction in any type of snow. Forget about traction on ice.
Toyota must have gotten a great deal on these and they must have low rolling resistance, otherwise why would any car maker put these on.

OK OEM tire, just so so for overall performance. On a AWD vehicle I was expecting better traction in wet conditions, light snow and a few bigger storms we saw. Seems to handle ok and road noise is moderate. Have to replace in next 1k so will only see 55K on these tires. Expensive to replace, will be trying another brand.

I commute 160 miles a day to work in all kind of weather and this tires were a nightmare. (Keep in mind I drive a 4x4) The traction in the snow is AWFUL, specialing while turning, no matter how slow you go. In the rain forget it! They performed better on dry roads, but not such thing as dry weather all year around.

...Terrible in snow even when new. With AWD there's no problem with getting stuck but braking and cornering in even small amounts of snow is really scary...
Came as OEM on our 2010 Forester. Average for every day driving. Terrible in snow even when new. With AWD there's no problem with getting stuck but braking and cornering in even small amounts of snow is really scary. Our Corolla with Goodyears can drive circles around it. I can't believe Subaru still puts these on their vehicles.

...We bought the Subaru to go through this kind of weather but were very disappointed with handled in the snow and ice... They advertise this vehicle going up a mountain in the snow yet my vehicle was lucky to get out of my driveway with 2 inches of snow going downhill!!...
These D687 HT came with my 2011 Subaru Forester. I live in Northeast Ohio where we have snow, ice and freezing roadways sometimes 6 month out of the year. We bought the Subaru to go through this kind of weather but were very disappointed with the way it handled in the snow and ice. Went back to the dealer and complained but was told we did not know how to drive it properly in bad weather!! I then checked other reviews and figured out that is was not the vehicle but the tire that Subaru put on the Forester's.
Why would they put a terrible handling tire on a AWD vehicle I ask?? They advertise this vehicle going up a mountain in the snow yet my vehicle was lucky to get out of my diveway with 2 inches of snow going downhill!!
We will now be putting on a set of winter snow tires in November and hopefully will be able to drive like in the commercials.
I do not recommend this tire at all. Also we have only 12,000 miles on them and the tread is half gone!!
Customers report mixed reactions on treadwear, with some praising durability (scores 7-10) but many noting premature wear (scores 0-6). Highway use shows varied longevity experiences.

I have 22,000 and it is time to replace this very expensive O.E. tires. Why do they put this brand on new SUVs (Toy, Honda, Suba, etc)? They wear out fast, and most will replace with O.E. tires and car maker profits from tires as well (they must be getting a great deal from tire manufacturer )

These Bridgestone's do not have any tread warranty and only have 2/32 of an inch left of tread, which is the minimum allowed to pass inspection in Utah. I find this hard to believe since I have only driven 21K miles on these tires...
These tires are OEM on my Toyota Highlander. As others I am disappointed that Toyota would sell a car with these tires on them. Especially without any kind of tread warranty on them. Since I am in Utah and it does snow here I have thought about getting some snow tires, but have asked around and have been told as long as I find a better traction tire I would not need to do this. So, before this winter I will be replacing these Bridgestone tires. Probably with the Michelin Cross Terrains. These Bridgestone's do not have any tread warranty and only have 2/32 of an inch left of tread, which is the minimum allowed to pass inspection in Utah. I find this hard to believe since I have only driven 21K miles on these tires. I will write my review on the Michelin Cross Terrains after I have them a while and let you know what I think. I would only recommend these tires if you are in a dry climate and are willing to replace them about every 20K-30K miles. It seems to be the same old story... you get what you pay for and since Toyota went cheap on OEM tires these do not last. I have even heard that the Bridgeston A/T will be a great improvement over these. I have also noticed the 2004 Highlander comes with Michelin OEM. Guess I shouldve waited a couple of more years.
