Highway All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of pleasant on-road characteristics, long wear and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. Highway All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD, light- and medium-duty vans, trucks and pickups, as well as crossover and sport utility vehicles.
O.E. Highway All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Customers think the Bridgestone Dueler H/T D687 delivers a smooth, quiet ride with strong dry traction, making it a solid choice for highway driving. However, many report disappointing tread life, with some noting rapid wear. Winter performance raises concerns, as scores for snow and ice traction often fall short of expectations. Wet conditions reveal mixed results, with hydroplaning resistance receiving lower marks. While dry handling and stability earn praise, the tire’s all-season capability is tempered by its limitations in challenging weather.

...Dry and wet traction has been predictable too...
I supprised by other comments that these tires are inferior. I have taken my XL-7 on the sandy beach without getting stuck. I can plow thru deep snow and be confident. Dry and wet traction has been predictable too. Overall a great tire.

...Ive had to stomp on the brakes, while manuevering around an obstacle - the tires responded lightening quick with no hesitation or slide...
My experience with this tire has been phenonminal. Ive never seen 70K+ on ANY tire. My comparison is on my 05 TOY RAV4 w/4WD. In a statement, I love this little SUV and the tires make me love it even more. Ive towed the same loaded trailer at 70 mph, but the tires never complained once - Ive done everything from climbing steep dirt roads towing a loaded (over 1,000 lbs) trailer (Ive never lost traction). In the snow, these tires allow me to laugh as I go around the big sloppy pickups and suvs on the hills in 8" of snow. On the hwy. in pouring rain, @ 70 mph they were rock solid - no hydroplaning!! Handling reminds me of being on a go-cart. no slide, no rolling, etc. I must admit that much of the handling characteristic may be the RAV4, but the tires are a part of that package. Ive had to stomp on the brakes, while manuevering around an obstacle - the tires responded lightening quick with no hesitation or slide.
My only problem with these tires was that the rear tires started to cup around 70K creating noise in the rear of the vehicle. Other than that, this tire has performed admirably on my RAV4. Its a tire that I would recommend to anyone. Im about to order my second set.

...The Duelers have provided good dry traction (the RAV4 is NOT a sporty car, but for an SUV it is fun to drive)...
56,000 miles: These tires were original equipment on my 2006 Toyota RAV4 Sport and currently have 1/8th inch tread depth remaining. The Duelers have provided good dry traction (the RAV4 is NOT a sporty car, but for an SUV it is fun to drive). I have had no problems with traction, cornering or stopping under normal driving conditions in rain or snow. I have towed trailers on interstate highways and mountain roads with no problems. This combination of tire and suspension is stiff over sharp bumps and pavement cracks. Road noise is what I consider normal. Overall, I have no complaints. These tires have served well enough in a very wide range of tasks.

Most customers rate the Bridgestone Dueler H/T D687's comfort highly, with scores between 7-10. High marks highlight a smooth ride and effective noise reduction, aligning well with its highway all-season design for a refined driving experience.

The tires have good steering responsiviness, great ride comfort and the noise level is very quiet.
The Bridgestone Dueler D687 are OEM tires that came on my Suzuki Grand Vitara XL-7. The tires have good steering responsiviness, great ride comfort and the noise level is very quiet. The treadwear for these tires are completely unacceptable for a mid weight SUV. The Bridgestone Dueler D687s wore down to bald areas and were completely worn out at 15,000 miles. This tire size is not widely available and I ended up replacing the tires with another set of Bridgestone Dueler D687s which wore completely out at 30,000 miles (they lasted 15,000 miles). These tires might be acceptable for lighter weight vehicles. With a B traction rating these tires are dangerous when combined with a mid weight SUV. Recommendation: These tires should not be installed on mid or heavy weight SUVs.

these tires were original equipment and only recently have shown a little harder ride... I am very pleased with these tires for the ride and quiet ride
these tires were original equipment and only recently have shown a little harder ride so when I was checking the air pressure I noticed the wear down to almost the end I have towed my sail boat of 29000LBS some of those miles also I am very pleased with these tires for the ride and quiet ride

...These tires are 100% better than the original Goodyears in the rain and the ride comfort...
I purchased these tires got them installed and left for a 6 hour road trip in HEAVY rain that same day. These tires are 100% better then the original Goodyears in the rain and the ride comfort. Real good tire so far.

Mixed feedback with concerning scores between 0-6 for wet traction. Reports of slippery feel, tendency to hydroplane, and mediocre wet performance leave many customers disappointed in all-season conditions.

...But you do not have the confidence to get good traction when driving in heavy downpour rain, in light snow, in heavy/thick snow. The only thing that saves me is the AWD, but even so, you can go, but if you can't stop, then it can be more dangerous...
These were the stock tires that came with the car, and I rotate these tires every 5,000 miles. The treading wear-and-tear is pretty good. But you do not have the confidence to get good traction when driving in heavy downpour rain, light snow, heavy/thick snow. The only thing that saves me is the AWD, but even so, you can go, but if you can't stop, then it can be more dangerous. So if you need a no-frills tire, this tire is fine, but I find it amazing how expensive these are for what you're paying for. I did notice that all the stock Mercedes, Acura, BMW, Audi trucks come with the Michelin Lattitude Tour, but after reading those reviews, it seems like there really isn't a good tire for light trucks. And the best review came from the Yokohama's but the biggest complaints were that it wears down to the thread by 25-30K. So there really isn't a good tire that blows your mind. Go figure...

...On a AWD vehicle I was expecting better traction in wet conditions, light snow and a few bigger storms we saw...
OK OEM tire, just so so for overall performance. On a AWD vehicle I was expecting better traction in wet conditions, light snow and a few bigger storms we saw. Seems to handle ok and road noise is moderate. Have to replace in next 1k so will only see 55K on these tires. Expensive to replace, will be trying another brand.

...The traction in the snow is AWFUL, specialing while turning, no matter how slow you go.
I commute 160 miles a day to work in all kind of weather and this tires were a nightmare. (Keep in mind I drive a 4x4) The traction in the snow is AWFUL, specialing while turning, no matter how slow you go. In the rain forget it! They performed better on dry roads, but not such thing as dry weather all year around.

...Terrible in snow even when new. With AWD there's no problem with getting stuck but braking and cornering in even small amounts of snow is really scary...
Came as OEM on our 2010 Forester. Average for every day driving. Terrible in snow even when new. With AWD there's no problem with getting stuck but braking and cornering in even small amounts of snow is really scary. Our Corolla with Goodyears can drive circles around it. I can't believe Subaru still puts these on their vehicles.

I was very dissapointed with the snow traction of these tires. They would get me started but I could not maintain any speed and feel safe. Otherwise I have no real complaints with the tires. If you are using snows in the winter then these are really not bad.

Tires screech on pavement when cornering, are very, very loud at interstate speeds, and they are bald at 35,000 miles. Do not purchase these poor excuse for tires! They were OE on my wifes Rav 4 and she is putting her life in danger driving with these tires.

...Also we have only 12,000 miles on them and the tread is half gone!!...
These D687 HT came with my 2011 Subaru Forester. I live in Northeast Ohio where we have snow, ice and freezing roadways sometimes 6 month out of the year. We bought the Subaru to go through this kind of weather but were very disappointed with the way it handled in the snow and ice. Went back to the dealer and complained but was told we did not know how to drive it properly in bad weather!! I then checked other reviews and figured out that is was not the vehicle but the tire that Subaru put on the Forester's.
Why would they put a terrible handling tire on a AWD vehicle I ask?? They advertise this vehicle going up a mountain in the snow yet my vehicle was lucky to get out of my diveway with 2 inches of snow going downhill!!
We will now be putting on a set of winter snow tires in November and hopefully will be able to drive like in the commercials.
I do not recommend this tire at all. Also we have only 12,000 miles on them and the tread is half gone!!
This tire is nearly bald after about a year's worth of driving (about 12-15000 miles)...
This tire is nearly bald after about a year's worth of driving (about 12-15000 miles). I live in hilly terrain with many small gravel roads, including some gravel roads where I have to cross through small creeks. Frequently, the roads flood over. I also have to deal with snowy and icy roads in the winter. I was told by the tire dealership that this was the best tire for these conditions that would fit my Grand Vitara. I'm getting ready to replace those tires and found tires on this website that out-rated this tire in every aspect. I must have had "----er" written on my forehead when I bought the Bridgestone tires. Well, I've learned my lesson.
