Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

Highway All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of pleasant on-road characteristics, long wear and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. Highway All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD, light- and medium-duty vans, trucks and pickups, as well as crossover and sport utility vehicles.

O.E. Highway All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Customers Say

Customers think the Bridgestone Dueler H/T D687 delivers a smooth, quiet ride with strong dry traction, making it a solid choice for highway driving. However, many report disappointing tread life, with some noting rapid wear. Winter performance raises concerns, as scores for snow and ice traction often fall short of expectations. Wet conditions reveal mixed results, with hydroplaning resistance receiving lower marks. While dry handling and stability earn praise, the tire's all-season capability is tempered by its limitations in challenging weather.

...Ive had to stomp on the brakes, while manuevering around an obstacle - the tires responded lightening quick with no hesitation or slide...

My experience with this tire has been phenonminal. Ive never seen 70K+ on ANY tire. My comparison is on my 05 TOY RAV4 w/4WD. In a statement, I love this little SUV and the tires make me love it even more. Ive towed the same loaded trailer at 70 mph, but the tires never complained once - Ive done everything from climbing steep dirt roads towing a loaded (over 1,000 lbs) trailer (Ive never lost traction). In the snow, these tires allow me to laugh as I go around the big sloppy pickups and suvs on the hills in 8" of snow. On the hwy. in pouring rain, @ 70 mph they were rock solid - no hydroplaning!! Handling reminds me of being on a go-cart. no slide, no rolling, etc. I must admit that much of the handling characteristic may be the RAV4, but the tires are a part of that package. Ive had to stomp on the brakes, while manuevering around an obstacle - the tires responded lightening quick with no hesitation or slide.

My only problem with these tires was that the rear tires started to cup around 70K creating noise in the rear of the vehicle. Other than that, this tire has performed admirably on my RAV4. Its a tire that I would recommend to anyone. Im about to order my second set.

...The Duelers have provided good dry traction (the RAV4 is NOT a sporty car, but for an SUV it is fun to drive)...

56,000 miles: These tires were original equipment on my 2006 Toyota RAV4 Sport and currently have 1/8th inch tread depth remaining. The Duelers have provided good dry traction (the RAV4 is NOT a sporty car, but for an SUV it is fun to drive). I have had no problems with traction, cornering or stopping under normal driving conditions in rain or snow. I have towed trailers on interstate highways and mountain roads with no problems. This combination of tire and suspension is stiff over sharp bumps and pavement cracks. Road noise is what I consider normal. Overall, I have no complaints. These tires have served well enough in a very wide range of tasks.

...It has excellent dry traction, cornering grip, and very comfortable ride...

This is a good summer performance tire, but buy extra life policy if you plan on using this tire in winter. It has excellent dry traction, cornering grip, and very comfortable ride. Its generally quiet except on coarse pavement. It provides very little traction when cold and wet. It also wears out fast.. At the current rate, it will last 30K miles total. My last tires had plenty left over after 53K. This is a great tire only if you live in the "Sunbelt." Avoid if you live north of the Mason-Dixon line.

...Customers mention: " very smooth and comfortable, low noise, handling was decent but the tire is obviously setup more for comfort."...

Another Highlander owner (2002 V6 AWD Limited) confused at all of the negative reviews of this tire on Highlander. Ours gave us 42,000 miles of solid service. Probably could have gone longer b/c we werent always very judicious about rotations and alignments, but they were getting pretty worn and snow season is about to start in Rochester, MN so I went ahead and replaced them for my wife with another set of D687s.

They made it through 2 or 3 major blizzards. My wife works at a hospital and HAS to get in even when everything is shut down. They cut through 4-6" of unplowed snow w/o a problem, and once I was able to "AWD plow" the car out of 1.5 FEET of snow without even shovelling it out. Reverse + hit the gas + AWD + rear bumper = no problemo. I was amazed at how good the SUV was in the snow. 2nd gear start mode in the Highlander ("Snow ECT") helped too. 45 mph on snowy unplowed highways wasnt a problem either. The SUV was so confident in the snow that my wife didnt have any problem whatsoever making a 180 mile highway trip in the snow with lots of cars and even other SUVs stuck or wrecked on the roadway. VSC/TRAC stability control helped too though. Ride was always very smooth and comfortable, low noise, handling was decent but the tire is obviously setup more for comfort. Dry/wet braking was okay too, and always got decent mileage. Could do 23-24 mpg hwy at 65 mph despite being rated at 22 mph hwy by the EPA. No real complaints overall, and theyre cheap, which is why we got another set.

After getting scared by the reviews here, considered Yoko Geolander G051 (rated poorly in Consumer Reports 11/04 for snow traction and rolling resistance) and the Michelin Cross Terrain (decent tire, but not any better than the similar D684II they tested for double the price), but no thanks on either of those. Very happy with the D687s. Im curious though as to why there are so many HL owners with miserable experiences. Overly high expectations maybe? I m

Very poor wet traction, simply horrible snow traction (slides in even 1 inch of snow). Prone to spinning and slipping when accelerating even on dry pavement. NOT recommended.

...They hydroplane really easily and the wet traction leaves something to be desired...

These tires came stock on my Suzuki, and they are just plain bad. They have worn down to the bottom of the big sipes in the tread in about 23000 miles, and are starting to show cracking and road noise. Before now, they have been excellent in dry weather and have handled well. They hydroplane really easily and the wet traction leaves something to be desired. These tires have also worn a bit uneven over their time too. Its really too bad that this size tire isnt made in any other truck tire that can do off road, as I have a 4wd; its mostly because a 16" wheel is stock on the Grand Vitara. So, with my choices limited, Im going to try a new Michelin Hydroedge and see how that works. I love how the dueler h/ts are stiff, but I need something that can handle water. I would overall say dump these tires before you get them, because they handle no weather except dry... but if thats all you do then have at them. (I wanted to give something back to all of you that helped me decide on my new tires, so here is my review to add to the list. Thanks)

Those tires came with my Toyota Highlander. I have 20000 miles on it now and the treadwear are already bad enough to replace it. They are quiet, comfort on the dry road. But definitely NO snow traction at all. Living in Northeast OH with a lot of snow, those tires are the worst I ever have. My 4WD SUV performed like a RW drive. With only one inch of snow on the ground, I can hardly stop the car. Going to switch to Dunlop this time.

...Also we have only 12,000 miles on them and the tread is half gone!!...

These D687 HT came with my 2011 Subaru Forester. I live in Northeast Ohio where we have snow, ice and freezing roadways sometimes 6 month out of the year. We bought the Subaru to go through this kind of weather but were very disappointed with the way it handled in the snow and ice. Went back to the dealer and complained but was told we did not know how to drive it properly in bad weather!! I then checked other reviews and figured out that is was not the vehicle but the tire that Subaru put on the Forester's.

Why would they put a terrible handling tire on a AWD vehicle I ask?? They advertise this vehicle going up a mountain in the snow yet my vehicle was lucky to get out of my diveway with 2 inches of snow going downhill!!

We will now be putting on a set of winter snow tires in November and hopefully will be able to drive like in the commercials.

I do not recommend this tire at all. Also we have only 12,000 miles on them and the tread is half gone!!
