The Ridge Grappler is Nitto's Rugged All-Terrain tire developed for drivers of SUVs, Jeeps, and pickup trucks seeking a stylish, capable, and durable off-road tire that can be reasonably driven in towns and highways in-between their adventures.
The Ridge Grappler's durable compound is molded into a symmetric tread pattern featuring robust reinforced tread blocks with tapered edges which optimize surface contact for competent dry grip. Variable pitch tread blocks of slightly different sizes reduce road noise for enhanced on-road comfort. Step block edges and staggered shoulder lugs combine for advantageous grip characteristics across many all-terrain environments. The Lateral zig-zag patterned Z grooves promote efficient water evacuation to the shoulder notches, while sipes in the tread blocks assist hydroplaning resistance and wet traction on paved surfaces. A high void ratio and multitudinous biting edges deliver confident traction in light snow.
Internal Construction of the Ridge Grappler includes a two-ply reinforced polyester casing for durability and ride comfort. Two high-tensile steel belts offer a sturdy foundation for even load distribution across the footprint. Two nylon reinforcement plies further stabilize the tread for high-speed handling and durability.
As with all Grappler tires, each Ridge Grappler tire features two unique sidewall designs. One side is more traditional while the other features a more aggressive block design.

...I'm already impressed by their performance in wet conditionsrelative to their predecessor...
The Dueler LX tires seem to perform much better than the Dueler R/Ts I had on the Jeep previously. I'm already impressed by their performance in wet conditions relative to their predecessor. I haven't been driving on them too long so will have to see if they continue to perform well throughout their life.

...Have never broken loose in the rain or anything, traction has always been good...
These are great tires that get great traction for on-road purposes. The best thing about them is how they ride. Perfectly smooth, quiet, and balance very easily… they are really impressive. Have never broken loose in the rain or anything, traction has always been good. They now have 42k miles on them and down to 4/32nds tread depth. In my experience they will not last the 70k like Bridgestone sets but they will ride great and be very safe all the way down to worn tread. Even at their current depth I have no traction or safety issues, but will need to replace before too long.
Customers report confident snow performance with most scores between 7-10, highlighting reliable grip in winter conditions. While ice traction shows some variability, the Dueler LX delivers solid deep snow capability, aligning well with its all-season design for highway driving.

Bridgestone tires are by far the best tire made. They're all I buy, both summer and winter specific. They handle superb and have very little road noise.

...Since there appears to be no actual winter traction performance content to analyze, I cannot provide any bolded text. Customers have not shared specific experiences about winter performance in the provided text...
Got these to replace original Hankook Dynapro HT, which were decent tires that I was happy with, but were wearing fast. These Bridgestone Duelers are much better in every aspect of driving. Dont know about winter yet, but I expect to be pretty good. Quiet, smooth and responsive steering. To early to tell about tread wear yet, but I am very pleased.

...immediately improved straight line tracking at highway speeds...
So far very happy. Moved out of an all-terrain to these highway tires: so much quieter while driving. Also immediately improved straight line tracking at highway speeds. Turned a 1000 mile plus roadtrip from a chore to not so bad.

...more comfortable and have about the same noise level and handling is competitive. For me as a easily going driver handling is not my main priority, comfort is...
Nice tires on my truck! They look great and drive great as well. I just took off TerrainContact HT that I drove on them for 200 miles. Bridgestone seems like more comfortable and have about the same noise level and handling is competitive. For me as a easily going driver handling is not my main priority, comfort is. I still think the previous Bridgestone Alenza HL was the most comfortable, but maybe because new tires are bigger and heavier so ride quality will decrease. Overall I like the tires and I will leave Duelers LX on and will report later when I get more miles on them.

...They ride great, are very smooth, and are very safe through their entire lifespan thanks to the siping...
This is a great tire. I have already written one review but wanted to follow up as they are fixing to be replaced. I have 50k miles almost exactly on my set of tires. They have 4/32nds of tread. They ride great, are very smooth, and are very safe through their entire lifespan thanks to the siping. Didn't quite get the 70k they are rated for, but I'm guessing it's because these tires are under a 5500 pound pickup versus an SUV that would put a little less weight on them. Would definitely buy again especially for a high-end vehicle. Bridgestone seems to make a great product.
...They are quiet, ride very nice, and handling is great...
I love these tires. We use this truck to tow our 36' 5th wheel. They are quiet, ride very nice, and handling is great. Highly recommended.
Vehicle: 2006 Ford F350 Super Crew 2wd Dual Rear Wheels Miles Driven on Tires: 1,000 Driving Conditions: Mostly Highway Location: KNOXVILLE, IA Driving Style: Average
Customers praise the Dueler LX's treadwear, with most scoring 9s and 10s. High scores highlight excellent durability and long-lasting performance, making it a strong choice for highway-focused all-season driving. A few 7-8 ratings suggest minor variability, but overall satisfaction remains very positive.
