Ultra High Performance All-Season run-flat tires provide temporary self-supporting run-flat mobility for a distance of 50 miles at up to 50 mph, even after a puncture has allowed complete air pressure loss. They are designed for driving enthusiasts who want a combination of a performance appearance, responsive handling and Z-speed rated (or higher) durability along with all-season traction, including in light snow. Ultra High Performance All-Season run-flat tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on sports cars, performance coupes and high performance sedans.

O.E. Ultra High Performance All-Season run-flat tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. run-flat tires' performance category and specifications.

NOTE: Run-flat tires are only recommended for vehicles that are originally equipped with self-supporting run-flat tires and equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system.

Bridgestone Turanza EL440 Reviews

Customer ratings show the Bridgestone Turanza EL440 delivers excellent dry traction (frequent 9-10 scores) and responsive handling, paired with strong wet performance (7-10 range) including reliable hydroplaning resistance. Comfort receives consistent praise for smooth ride quality and low noise. However, treadwear scores vary widely (0-10 range), with many reporting premature wear concerns. Winter traction shows mixed results (0-8 scores), with some drivers noting limited confidence in icy or deep snow conditions. As a Grand Touring All-Season tire, it excels in everyday dry and wet driving comfort but may disappoint those prioritizing long-term durability or severe winter capability.

...Where these tires shined was the grip: they never slipped or skidded in rainy conditions, and I could even punch it when driving through the great deluge of 2022/23 with no problems...

These were my OEM tires, and they're finally giving up the ghost after over 55k miles of service. These tires were great middle of the road Grand Touring tires: handling, road noise, fuel economy, and tread life were all good. Where these tires shined was the grip: they never slipped or skidded in rainy conditions, and I could even punch it when driving through the great deluge of 2022/23 with no problems. Their grip was also very good when driving on winding roads and never complained or slipped when taking a gentle curve.

...I live in Florida so I typically drive in dry conditions... I just hit 59,000 miles and the tread is about 3/32 and they still handle well in dry and wet weather...

These tires came stock on my 21 Mazda CX-30 Turbo. Overall, it’s not a bad stock tire. I live in Florida so I typically drive in dry conditions with torrential downpours in the summer. My car has not once hydroplaned with these tires and traction control did not need to activate. I just hit 59,000 miles and the tread is about 3/32 and they still handle well in dry and wet weather. They just started to squeal when punching the gas from a standstill. I rotated the tires about every 7,500 miles and all 4 tires have worn evenly. I have not balanced them or have done an alignment on my car either. They definitely aren’t the quietest tire out there but to be expected out of a stock tire. These have done very well and I just purchased a close out deal for just over $400 for the whole set, which is a steal for these. I’m not sure why these get so much hate, but for my vehicle, they do good all around.

...They are a bit loud on the highway, and the comfort is much stiffer so you feel more of the road (whether that is good for you or not is up to you)

Great tire if you want something to support a little bit more “spirited” driving. If these fit on your car, they are a great all around choice. They are a bit loud on the highway, and the comfort is much stiffer so you feel more of the road (whether that is good for you or not is up to you)

These tires are TERRIBLE in snow! Seriously, even with AWD I had a hard time getting anywhere on mostly flat, Ohio roads.

These tires are decent in dry conditions on the curvy, 2-lane roads I mostly drive, and handle well on the highway. I ran them on a high performance driving class at Mid Ohio and they handled predictably well, obviously not track tires.
They're "okay" in the rain, when they lost traction on curves it was smooth and predictable (with an AWD car) and recovered easily by modulating the throttle.

...Dont even get me started on snow traction...there is none. Just buy something else unless you never see snow.

This tire is as expensive or more expensive than its competition. Yet its performance is far below par. This was the OEM tire from mazda, and is a big miss. In the dry the tire is great. Lots of grip, comfortable, and quiet. And lasting 52k+ miles with my driving style is good enough for me. But this tire has zero wet traction, which is fun when you want to drift around a little, but worrying when you want to feel safe. Dont even get me started on snow traction...there is none. Just buy something else unless you never see snow.

...Less than a half inch of snow and the get no traction at all...

Dry roads these tires are simply ok. Wet they are less desirable. Winter driving, they are the absolute worst tires I have ever had on a vehicle. They would be more effective as a tarp weight. Less than a half inch of snow and the get no traction at all. If Bridgestone was smart, they would completely redesign or eliminate this tire in any location that does get snow. I cannot say enough negativity about this tire selection. If Toyota is listening, scrap this tire from your line up. All vehicles should completely avoid this tire all together. The absolute worst I have ever had,
