Street/Sport Truck Summer tires are for drivers who want to combine aggressive low-profile tires with large rim diameter wheels to enhance their vehicle's appearance. Sometimes used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD pickup, crossover and sport utility vehicles, Street/Sport Truck Summer tires are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
O.E. Street/Sport Truck Summer light truck tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.
NOTE: Run-flat tires are only recommended for vehicles that are originally equipped with self-supporting run-flat tires and equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system.

Customer ratings show the Continental ContiProContact delivers a comfortable ride with smooth handling, aligning well with its Grand Touring All-Season purpose. Treadwear receives mixed feedback, with some noting premature wear despite moderate mileage expectations. Winter traction is a concern, with inconsistent scores (3-7) in snow and ice, suggesting limited confidence in harsh conditions. Wet traction is generally reliable (scores 6-8), though hydroplaning resistance varies. Dry traction stands out as a strength, earning consistent praise (7-10) for confident grip and responsive steering. While ideal for everyday comfort and dry-road performance, buyers prioritizing winter capability or long-term durability may want to weigh these trade-offs.

So far these tires are performing good. Traction on dry pavement is good, I was caught in a thunderstorm and roads were flooded with water. Care did not hydroplane even when going through some low spots in the road that had enough water to hydroplane. Ride is smooth and car handles very well on these tires. I will let you all know how they perform in the snow in another 6 months.

...They are holding up well and provide excellent wet/dry traction...
Great tires. They are holding up well and provide excellent wet/dry traction. They are also quiet . I would recommend this tire . I also love buying from TireRack.com. I get to browse several different brands of tires and compare them . I thorougjly read the track testing comments when making a decision.

Winter traction is disappointing, with ice scores frequently between 0-5 (including many 0s and 1s). Snow and deep snow traction also show concerning ratings, with reports of slippery conditions and unreliable grip in winter scenarios.

...Snow traction - both acceleration and braking - is HORRIBLE. I learned to drive the van extremely carefully in the snow, luckily where I live in Michigan there hasn't been a huge amount of snow recently - if there had been, these tires would have been gone long ago...
This tire was the OEM tire on my Ram ProMaster City van. It was a comfortable riding tire with minimal tire noise. On dry pavement it served well, although with a small van it's not like I was ever pushing it too hard. I do tend to take on and off ramps a bit quickly, and this tire never broke traction. The reason I would never buy this tire intentionally, though, is that its snow characteristics are terrible, and its rain characteristics are sub-par. Hydroplaning resistance is actually pretty good, but traction is marginal on wet pavement. I would frequently spin the tires on acceleration from a standstill on wet pavement. The first gear on my van is pretty aggressive which may have contributed. Snow traction - both acceleration and braking - is HORRIBLE. I learned to drive the van extremely carefully in the snow, but luckily where I live in Michigan there hasn't been a huge amount of snow recently - if there had been, these tires would have been gone long ago. The bottom line is that this tire wasn't poor enough to outright replace from the beginning, but after 47,000 miles I can't wait to put on the Michelin CrossClimate 2's I just ordered. At 47,000 miles the tires aren't to the wear bars yet, but pretty close. If you live in the desert, this tire may be OK for you. Otherwise, I think there are way better choices.

Mixed treadwear ratings with many scoring 0-5, indicating premature wear and dissatisfaction. Some report rapid wear, needing early replacement, despite higher scores (7-10) in other cases.

Unacceptable Treadwear and Light Snow Performance
Didn't even last 30,000 miles. Pathetic. And this is with conservative driving habits...NO spirited or aggressive driving.
These were the OEM tires on my 2016 Honda Accord 4DR Sport. At 26,600 miles the tread depth on the front tires is 4/32 and the rear tires is 5/32. These were rotated based on the the manufacturer's recommendations and kept properly inflated. At least the treadwear was consistent across the surface patch on all 4 tires. An unrepairable sidewall puncture on one of the "better" rear tires forced me to just replace all 4 tires with a different brand.
I was very pleased with the wet performance overall. The dry traction and comfort is above average. The noise was average or slightly below average. And the light snow/slush/ice performance was completely unacceptable which is surprising. You would think a tire with such a short lifespan would have softer compounds and would therefore have better snow/slush performance. Nope! Continental somehow was able to design a tire with super soft compounds that has very little to zero traction in even the most mild winter conditions. Mission Accomplished!?...I guess.
I would NOT recommend these tires.
