The CrossContact LX25 is Continental's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of crossovers and small SUVs who want a comfortable, luxurious ride combined with confident, all-season capability. The CrossContact LX25 is designed to provide a smooth, quiet ride plus crisp handling and sure-footed traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including light snow.
Continental's Next Generation EcoPlus+ Technology compound is molded into the CrossContact LX25's symmetric tread pattern. Comfort Ride Technology places an absorption layer below the tread to deliver a smooth, comfortable ride without sacrificing steering response, and the continuous circumferential ribs help reduce tread noise. The Next Generation EcoPlus+ Technology tread compound helps extend tread life and reduce stopping distances in wet conditions, while the wide, circumferential grooves allow water to flow through the footprint to enhance hydroplaning resistance. Lateral and diagonal sipes provide biting edges for traction in slippery conditions, and Traction Grooves feature biting teeth to trap snow and create snow-to-snow traction.
The internal construction of the CrossContact LX25 utilizes a polyester cord body supporting two heavy-duty, steel belts. The spirally wound, polyamide reinforcement helps stabilize the footprint to provide high-speed capability and handling, and the Comfort Ride Technology absorption layer is located above the reinforcement to maximize ride quality.

All-Season vs. All-Weather Tires: What’s the Best Touring Tire for Premium CUVs? – 2024 Test 2 – With Winter Update(22:11)
We’ve tested Touring All-Season tires before, but never like this! Eight Touring tires, the best of the best, both 3PMSF branded [all-weather] and traditional all-season options, take to the street and the track to see how they stack up. Using our new Alfa Romeo Stelvio to represent the popular CUV segment, TJ and Brent put these eight contenders through the paces on the road, on the track, and in the winter elements to get a read on what to consider when comparing all-weather vs. all-season tires.
Customer surveys indicate the Continental CrossContact LX25 excels in comfort, with smooth ride quality and low noise levels scoring 8-10. Treadwear earns consistent praise for long-lasting performance, with many ratings in the 8-9 range. Winter traction is generally strong in snow (8-10), though ice performance shows occasional dips to 6-7, suggesting cautious driving in icy conditions. Wet traction shines with near-perfect 9-10 scores for grip and hydroplaning resistance. Dry traction stands out as a highlight, with nearly unanimous 9-10 ratings for confident handling and responsive steering. Drivers report high satisfaction across its intended all-season use, particularly noting its balanced performance for crossover and SUV applications.

...They have great traction in the wet and dry...
These tires have been great. They are quiet and smooth. They have great traction in the wet and dry. They had no problems driving through a blizzard. I will buy another set when these are worn. I'm expecting to get at least 80k miles out of them.

...They are superb in the rain, and I have complete confidence that they will keep me safe...
I’m extremely happy with these tires. I am a woman, in my mid-sixties, and when I was in my early 20’s, I hydroplaned on a highway in NJ, because of crummy tires (probably were bald too). Miraculously, I ended up on the shoulder, albeit, facing oncoming traffic. Since that time, I painstakingly research my tires, to make sure they are good in the rain. Since I discovered Tire Rack, I find the reviews spot on, and hence I would like share my review that these tires are excellent! The initial first couple of months felt a little off (I think one reviewer described it is being on rails), but they definitely settled in. They are superb in the rain, and I have complete confidence that they will keep me safe. They are also very good in the snow. I can’t comment too much on icy conditions. I would definitely buy these again.

...I don't have enough winter experience with these tires to give an accurate snow rating but so far they are performing remarkably better than the Yokohamas in light snow (<=2in). At the ski resort we maintained good traction on a sloped parking lot on a particularly icy day while at least one other 4WD vehicle was struggling to maintain traction.
These tires are quiet, responsive, and handle well on a wet road and in light snow. I was surprised how much control I maintained driving through sudden dense slush at 60mph. I don't have enough winter experience with these tires to give an accurate snow rating but so far they are performing remarkably better than the Yokohamas they replaced in light snow (<=2in). At the ski resort we maintained good traction on a sloped parking lot on a particularly icy day while at least one other 4WD vehicle was struggling to maintain traction.

...They are confidence inspiring in all weather conditions and the tread wear is minimal...
I had previously purchased a set of Crosscontact LX25s for another SUV we owned. They are outstanding for light and even moderate snow, excellent wet tractions and hydroplane avoidance. These tires are also notably quieter than other tires. When my MDX's OEM tires, which were terrible - noisy, poor wet & snow traction, needed replaced the LX25s were my go to choice. They are confidence inspiring in all weather conditions and the tread wear is minimal. I became a Continental fan 20 years ago when they were the OEM tires on my Audi. I noted the excellent wet road performance and hydroplaning resistance as well as the long tread life. I've never been disappointed with any of their tire models. The LX25s are excellent all season tires and you won't be disappointed.

Reasonably smooth and quite. Zero complaints in the dry and in the rain. This is a drama free vehicle and these tires have been a good replacement for the excellent, but short lived OEM Michelins that came on the new CR-V Hybrid. I want to say I liked the Michelins better, but I can’t really find any reason to complain about about these Continentals. The Continentals do have more tread on them and should last longer, but I believe I can feel the mass. I understand why Honda chose the Michelins, but the rain performance slipped badly by 30,000 miles. Thank you Tire Rack for the great service and reviews to help choose the best tires.

My set of the Continental CrossContact LX25s have fulfilled all of my expectations for longevity, handling, and smooth and quiet ride. They are very good when it is wet and snowing. This set has 65,000 miles on them; so I will be buying another set in a couple of weeks for my CX-5.

This is the second round on these tires. Treadwear is good. The vehicle is used primarily to tow a 3000 pound trailer and has performed well in off-road, gravel, and mud pulling the trailer. It is predicable and quite on pavement.

...They have been on the car for one year and accumulated 10,000 miles... The tread-wear is at 9/32 so happy with that...
These tires were installed on my Wife's 2019 Chevy Equinox. First time using them as I usually go for Goodyear and General tires. I must say that the reviews I read that helped me decide to purchase them were spot on. They have been on the car for one year and accumulated 10,000 miles. No noticeable noise at all and we went down to Florida and back to NY to test the noise level in the rain, the dry and in the snow around 3 inches. The tread-ware is at 9/32 so happy with that. I also purchased them recently for my 2016 Mazda CX-5 so stay tuned after some time goes by. I will be sticking with these tires from now on as they are the best I have purchased. They inspire confidence in nasty conditions.
