The CrossContact LX25 is Continental's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of crossovers and small SUVs who want a comfortable, luxurious ride combined with confident, all-season capability. The CrossContact LX25 is designed to provide a smooth, quiet ride plus crisp handling and sure-footed traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including light snow.
Continental's Next Generation EcoPlus+ Technology compound is molded into the CrossContact LX25's symmetric tread pattern. Comfort Ride Technology places an absorption layer below the tread to deliver a smooth, comfortable ride without sacrificing steering response, and the continuous circumferential ribs help reduce tread noise. The Next Generation EcoPlus+ Technology tread compound helps extend tread life and reduce stopping distances in wet conditions, while the wide, circumferential grooves allow water to flow through the footprint to enhance hydroplaning resistance. Lateral and diagonal sipes provide biting edges for traction in slippery conditions, and Traction Grooves feature biting teeth to trap snow and create snow-to-snow traction.
The internal construction of the CrossContact LX25 utilizes a polyester cord body supporting two heavy-duty, steel belts. The spirally wound, polyamide reinforcement helps stabilize the footprint to provide high-speed capability and handling, and the Comfort Ride Technology absorption layer is located above the reinforcement to maximize ride quality.

All-Season vs. All-Weather Tires: What’s the Best Touring Tire for Premium CUVs? – 2024 Test 2 – With Winter Update(22:11)
We’ve tested Touring All-Season tires before, but never like this! Eight Touring tires, the best of the best, both 3PMSF branded [all-weather] and traditional all-season options, take to the street and the track to see how they stack up. Using our new Alfa Romeo Stelvio to represent the popular CUV segment, TJ and Brent put these eight contenders through the paces on the road, on the track, and in the winter elements to get a read on what to consider when comparing all-weather vs. all-season tires.
Customer surveys indicate the Continental CrossContact LX25 excels in comfort, with smooth ride quality and low noise levels scoring 8-10. Treadwear earns consistent praise for long-lasting performance, with many ratings in the 8-9 range. Winter traction is generally strong in snow (8-10), though ice performance shows occasional dips to 6-7, suggesting cautious driving in icy conditions. Wet traction shines with near-perfect 9-10 scores for grip and hydroplaning resistance. Dry traction stands out as a highlight, with nearly unanimous 9-10 ratings for confident handling and responsive steering. Drivers report high satisfaction across its intended all-season use, particularly noting its balanced performance for crossover and SUV applications.

...I live in the NW and we have wet conditions 9 months of the year, these tires have no hydroplaning issues in standing water. They displace water well and are great in both wet & dry conditions.
Excellent tires from the moment they were installed. Switched from run flats to these and the comfort difference was amazing. I live in the NW and we have wet conditions 9 months of the year, these tires have no hydroplaning issues in standing water. They displace water well and are great in both wet & dry conditions.

Compare to my previous general tires these are much better tires. I love the wet traction and the way they are so quiet while driving. Since they are designed for SUV they seem more stable and still deliver very comfortable ride.

...These Continentals are handling great thru snow, ice, wet and dry.
I had Yokohama Scorpions before. Didn’t get the tread life out of them and as they wore they became annoyingly noisy like constant droning road noise. These Continentals are handling great thru snow, ice, wet and dry.

These are my 2nd set of tires for my 2012 Tacoma. My first set lasted many years with getting close to 100,000 miles on them. I did a lot of highway driving as well as beach driving. These tires held up great so when it was time to replace it was a no brainer to go with the same. It goes without saying that driving on ice isn’t easy and that would be the only negative of these tires but I don’t think any tire is good on ice. In the snow they work great. In the sand, airing down you have no issues. I’ve never gotten stuck with these tires. I highly recommend these tires.

...better than expected dry & wet traction.
First set of Continental tires I have owned, these do require about 1-2 psi higher than the recommended amount by the car manufacturer for this size, once I figured that our the tires came alive, quiet, great ride with better than expected dry & wet traction.

...Ride is very comfortable but not too soft, noise is very low...
This is my second set of Conti Cross Contacts on this car. I tried some Pirellis in the middle and prefer the ride and tread wear of the continental. My wife mainly drives them just back and forth to work, but I’ll take the car weekly to log some miles and get it warm and for what this car is I find them to be just about a perfect match. Ride is very comfortable but not too soft, noise is very low, wet and light snow traction is great. If we get DEEP snow like the 2 feet we had last week, my wife’s car is staying in the driveway, but for up to 6-8 inches of fluffy stuff they’re great when paired with AWD or 4wd on a crossover.
Customers overwhelmingly rate treadwear as excellent, with most scores 9-10. Exceptional durability and long-lasting performance for Crossover/SUV touring, with even lower scores reflecting strong 7-8 ratings in all-season conditions.

...They're smooth, quiet, and are wearing evenly...
My experience with this tire has been excellent so far. They're smooth, quiet, and are wearing evenly. They feel much more stable and resistant to hydroplaning in the rain than prior set of tires on my car (Michelin Defender T+H). Two minor complaints: the tread does seem to pick up small stones very easily. I also have noticed the impact resonance mentioned in Tire Rack test videos over expansion joints and similar sharp bumps at highway speeds. Neither are a big deal in the grand scheme, but the impact noise is definitely noticeable on lousy highway stretches.
