The Azenis FK460 A/S is Falken's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire for drivers of sport coupes, muscle cars, performance sedans and CUVs, and sport EVs (Electric Vehicles) seeking reliable dry grip, confident wet handling, and capable light snow traction as well as comfort, and reasonable tread life.

Falken Azenis FK460 A/S callouts

The Azenis FK460 A/S utilizes an Advanced Nano 4D compound molded into an asymmetric tread design featuring large, high-grip chamfered tread blocks, engineered to deliver competent dry grip and heightened cornering capability at higher speeds. A wide footprint maximizes contact with the road surface for optimal traction, while strong shoulder blocks amplify high-performance handling in dry conditions. Full-depth emerging grooves enhance wet traction when new and expand as the tire wears for improved wet weather performance throughout the tire's life. Four circumferential grooves provide ample pathways to generous lateral shoulder voids for efficient water evacuation and hydroplaning resistance. Transverse notches provide biting edges for enhanced all-season traction and combine functionally with interlocking sipes on the inboard section for reliable traction in slush and light snow.

Internal construction of the Azenis FK460 A/S consists of two high-tensile steel belts atop a reinforced two-ply polyester casing. A polyamide cap ply further stabilizes the tread for high-speed handling and durability.

Limited sizes of the Azenis FK460 A/S are available with Falken's Silent Core technology, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

...Wet traction is OK as well. These tires are noisy as heck, especially when you are making corner turns at slow speeds (literally screeches) and such...

Overall, the tires are OK. These are from OEM when car was bought. At almost 43,000 miles, the tires are down to 4/32 all around. Which is pretty normal, I would say. Did tire rotations every other oil changes. Snow traction is OK but not the best when there are heavy snows on the ground especially for Wisconsin Weather. Wet traction is OK as well. These tires are noisy as heck, especially when you are making corner turns at slow speeds (literally screeches) and such. Otherwise than that, I would say these tires are OK. I would not buy again unless it was given for free.

...Traction and handling performance was very good. Good handling in the rain too...

These were the OEM tires on our brand new 2013 Toyota RAV4. Traction and handling performance was very good. Good handling in the rain too. Never used in snow or ice so cannot comment on those areas. Tires did become somewhat noisy at highway speeds around 20,000 but not too bad. Biggest disappointment was tread life. By 29,000 miles the tire treads were down to 2/32" to 4/32" and had to be replaced. The tires were rotated every 5000 to 6000 miles. I will not buy Continental tires again due to the short tread life we experienced. For replacement tires, I decided to get the newer Hankook Kinergy PT tires . I will post a review of them after we drive on them for a few thousand miles. Thank you Tirerack for being a great resource on tires.

...We found these nicely responsive--either in upstate NY snow, midwestern snow or on our numerous high-speed cross country trips.

nice & quiet, much better tread life than the OEM Goodyear Eagles, good traction & cornering. We like a bit of a stiff ride--NOT an old lady's cushy ride, so we inflate to 31 psi, which gives good mileage. We found these nicely responsive--either in upstate NY snow, midwestern snow or on our numerous high-speed cross country trips.

...I love the ice on thsee, almost like I'm driving on pavement most of the time. This is the only tire that made me feel safe on these winter roads...

Had these tires for the third season now. I use my truck alot and have just over 50% tread left. Incredibly impressed with these tires. I love the ice on thsee, almost like I'm driving on pavement most of the time. Really well designed, and the driver to road response in incredible. This is the only tire that made me feel safe on these winter roads. Summer is just the same, wet roads are a thing of the past. Incredible stability and great response, I felt the road no matter what speed I drove these at wet. I recommend these to all my friends.

...Car feels "happy" when driving with these - just like the tires were made for the car ( acceleration, braking, cornering, comfort, general driving experience)...

Perfect fit and match to the original set that came on the 2010 Honda CR-V 4wd from the dealer when it was new. Car feels "happy" when driving with these - just like the tires were made for the car (acceleration, braking, cornering, comfort, general driving experience). Would recommend as summer tires for 3rd generation CR-V owners.

...excellent wear, and the noise is not bad...

These came as OEM on my Honda CRV and bottom line - they have been very good tires. Good traction (we don't have snow in south Texas), excellent wear, and the noise is not bad. Preparing to replace them soon and considering Michelins, but I tend to stay with what works for me so I'll likely buy the Continentals again.
