The Turanza Prestige is Bridgestone's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of luxury cars, family sedans, coupes, crossovers, and minivans. A tire for those who value reliable, year-round traction without sacrificing a plush, refined driving experience. The Turanza Prestige has been meticulously designed to blend the smooth, quiet ride drivers expect with a long tread life, wet traction, and light snow capability.
The Turanza Prestige begins with an environmentally conscious all-season compound integrating Bridgestone's PeakLife polymers to create a material base that resists irregular wear. The compound is then molded into the Turanza Prestige's distinctive symmetric tread pattern with a wide, stable center rib designed to keep the uneven vibrations generated by travel to a minimum for a comfortable drive. QuietTrack Technology combines in-groove quiet tracks, optimized pitch sequencing and offset notches to reduce airborne noise for a tranquil driving experience. Wide circumferential grooves and shoulder slots for displacing and evacuating water from the contact patch improves hydroplaning resistance and control in the wet. Interlocking grooves and sipes create biting edges for enhanced snow traction, and the full depth tread pattern is engineered to maintain performance as the tire wears.
The internal construction of the Turanza Prestige utilizes a single-ply, polyester casing supporting two wide, steel belts. A nylon cap ply reinforces the structure for enhanced high-speed durability.

What a difference tires can make! I replaced the stock Goodyear Eagle F1 with these Continental's. The ride is so much better, the noise level is almost non existent and the wet traction is amazing. No snow yet to test. Highly recommend you consider these tires!

...Wet traction is excellent. Hydroplane resistance is some of the best I've ever seen, and the wet traction is nothing short of impressive. Wet traction is probably the single most redeeming feature of these tires...
These are the O.E. tires for my vehicle. They are run-flat type tires, and the typical ride that comes along with that is there with these tires. They are not unbearably harsh like some other run-flats, but definitely harder riding than non run-flat tires that I've used. Noise is far worse than expected, and while they are whisper quiet on smooth asphalt, they are extremely noisy on new asphalt and any concrete sections.
Dry traction is decent, especially for a Grand Touring tire, but it isn't particularly responsive and has an ever-so-slight delay in turn-in feel. They do not inspire a lot of confidence when pushing them hard through a turn or on an off (or on) ramp, as the lateral grip just seems to fall away pretty quickly.
Wet traction is excellent. Hydroplane resistance is some of the best I've ever seen, and the wet traction is nothing short of impressive. Wet traction is probably the single most redeeming feature of these tires.
Light snow traction is pretty good. For 3 inches or less of snow, these do a decent job, especially slushy or wet snow. Deep snow traction is not as good. They will do an adequate job, but I would not call them confidence inspiring in for anything over 3 inches deep. Can say how they would do on ice, but on packed snow or powder, they should be driven with extra caution.
Can't speak to wear, since they only have 3500 miles on them at this point. They aren't showing unusual wear and don't seem to be wearing too fast so far.

...I have been surprised by how well they have performed in both a summer and rather extreme winter environments.
These tires came with the vehicle. I have been surprised by how well they have performed in both a summer and rather extreme winter environments. The wear seems to be quite good as they have lost 2/32 of tread since new so I anticipate they should have a tread life of approximately 40000 miles. The tires are quiet for the most part but can get loud on some concrete road surfaces. These tires provide a smooth ride even with the more rigid side walls of the run flat tire. Would recommend these tires for anyone who requires run flat tires on their vehicle.

These tires are very comfortable, low noise and perform very well in wet and dry conditions for summer and fall. I have driven them the past 2 weeks in snow and ice conditions in Chicago and they do fairly well in light and moderate snow with some ice. They are not as good in snow as dedicated snow tires, which I have owned before with similar cars, but certainly passable . In fact I have usually purchased dedicated winter tires and I may forgo with this tire and use them year around. From a practical standpoint, there are no run flat options available on tire rack for winter tires that fit this car and would have to go with Nokian which is not offered here to make the change.

...Steering is response and traction is very good in the rain and light snow. I have also been impressed with how they handle packed snow and slightly icy conditions. I would say that combined with them and AWD, I have a false sense of security in adverse weather conditions...
These were the OEM tires on my car, which I have owned since 2014. I kept buying these tires because they are what Mercedes originally used, but after 5 years, I will be moving on. The low profile, run flat design makes them very rough as tread starts to wear. I feel every bump in the road and they are noisy. Because of their design, they are also prone to bubbles. Since buying the car and replacing the tires with these OEMs, I have had a blowout on the highway (caused by glass from an accident that I actively tried to avoid the day before), a cracked rim, a bubble, and feathering on 3 tires. One feathering incident was the rear drive side. I had physical damage to my suspension probably due to potholes when I had my car serviced about 3K miles ago. The set that is on the front currently are feathered as well. I need alignments constantly because I am in the northeast US where we get snow and ice. Potholes and rough roads are common up here thanks to snow removal. These tires do not handle those well because of the low profile, run flat design. Lastly, they're not easy to find in tire shops. I have to drive my car an hour away to a tire shop that has them because tire shops generally don't stock them due to the cost.
When the tires are new, they are still a bit rough but handle very well. Steering is response and traction is very good in the rain and light snow. I have also been impressed with how they handle packed snow and slightly icy conditions. I would say that combined with them and AWD, I have a false sense of security in adverse weather conditions. I have never once lost traction, even with worn tread.
I can not recommend these tires to anyone who drives in an area prone to potholes. I have spent a few thousand dollars on tires and issues related to them. Four different tire shops have told me that it will just constantly happen because of the shape of the tire. They give my car an aggressive sporty look, but my warranty is expiring. Time to move on.

I put these on my BMW and love them. Very good treadwear. The biggest problem with them going bald quickly is the car's alignment and setup. My 535i sedan is not an aggressive or sports car. The alignment is very neutral and I'm getting very even and very long lasting wear on these. Will buy them again if they stay the most affordable option.

I own a Mercedes C300 and they came with Continental ProContact GX Tyres. The tread life on them lasted me 27477 miles before my rear tyres reached the 3/32. My rear tyres are R18/40/245, and my front tyres are R18/45/225. My front wear was slightly less at 4/32 thread life left. Overall, I did not face any major issues with these tyres. I would have expected them to last at least 35000 miles, but considering I cannot rotate the tyres, I think the tyre life is fairly good. Just replaced them with the same tyres.
