Continental TerrainContact A/TThe TerrainContact A/T is Continental's On-Road All-Terrain tire developed for the drivers of pickup trucks, Jeeps, SUVs and crossover vehicles looking for civilized behavior on-road with the benefit of off-road capability when they need it. Designed to combine a quiet highway ride and long tread life with all-terrain performance, the TerrainContact A/T provides year-round traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, even in snow.

TerrainContact A/T tires feature a +Silane enhanced all-season compound molded into a mild all-terrain tread pattern. The open pattern improves traction off-road, while the stable tread blocks and closed shoulder design help provide long tread life and resist uneven wear. The +Silane additives further extend tread life and increase wet grip, and the full-depth sipes and edge-of-the-block traction grooves increase all-season traction throughout the life of the tire.

Internal construction of the TerrainContact A/T includes two high-tensile steel belts with a spirally-wound polyamide reinforcement supported by a two-ply casing.

...These Terrain Contacts are quiet, grippy, great cornering/handling and VERY rain/wet road capable. Did a 10 hour drive to Portland, dry on the way up and pouring on the way back down. They were great in the heaviest rain...

Upgraded to these from Bridgestone Ecopias at 7k on my 2017 Jeep GC Overland. Ecopias were great but wanted more aggressive snow and off road capable tires. Always liked the General brand and they show through these Conti's since Conti bought General.

After 2,000 miles I am very impressed. These Terrain Contacts are quiet, grippy, great cornering/handling and VERY rain/wet road capable. Did a 10 hour drive to Portland, dry on the way up and pouring on the way back down. They were great in the heaviest rain squall. Hit a real deep section and they did just as well. They felt like they were going to break free and never did. Saw snow but haven't had a chance to drive in it or in the dirt yet but that will come soon and will report back once I do.

...The wet traction is awesome and I now feel comfortable in my truck...

Just came out of Toyo Open Country AT2's which were the scariest tires in the wet of any car I've ever driven in my 56 years. So much so I refused to let my wife drive the truck in the rain. 2016 F150 2.7 Ecoboost 4x4. From a dead stop with light to moderate throttle, they would spin through 2-3 gears and on freeway clover leafs it was white knuckle wondering when the rear end would kick out. Had enough after 10,000 miles so I went to my tire shop to trade them in on these Continentals.Still cost me money to get out of them, but with every penny to do so. The shop didn't stock them and didn't know about them, but after my extensive research I demanded them and am so happy I did.

(1) Wet traction is awesome and I now feel comfortable in my truck. (2) much quieter than my previous tires----this is a big bonus. (3) they look great. They are perfect blend of rugged looks with superior handling, ride quality, etc. This is what most of us want, as we have all seen trucks on the road with A/T or M/T's that never have a spec of dirt on them!! LOL.

I am 98% on the road with a 45 mile round trip commute daily with occasional off road and snow a few times a year in the Sierra Nevada.

Bravo Continental you nailed it!!! As long as I drive a truck, this is going to be the only tire I purchase. Hopefully you'll still be making them when these wear out.

Dry performance has been really good...

Dry performance has been really good. Noise is also quiet. Wet performance has been just above average, with moderate slip under acceleration and hydroplaning on smooth surfaces. Towing performance has been good, the tires are stable at max loading.
Winter performance is non existent. No snow in cold temperatures drops the grip to almost zero, most comparable to a deer on a pond. These tires almost put me in a ditch on more than one occurrence while in Colorado. At one point my wife and I had a 5 minute conversation about how we were going into the ditch as the vehicle had no steering control and abs wouldn't even engage as we slide down the road at about 2 mph. So, on that note, one could say they are predictable.

...Performs well in the rain as well in the dry...

Bought the Terrain Contact T/A tires for my 2015 Subaru Forester for the winter trips to Reno/Tahoe. So far, I've driven 100 miles on these tires. Performs well in the rain as well in the dry. There's a bit of road noise, however, it's not as bad what people comment on. It's not a hardcore A/T tire with huge thick tread blocks. And that will drive you nuts!!! Haven't tested out the snow traction, not enough snow up in the Sierra unless you go above 5K. Even then, We're not getting the rain we had last year. :( Hopefully, the upcoming months we will get some good snow. I will give an update on the next trip.

...The Summit is the high end luxury vehicle and I have not given up anything when it comes to a quiet, comfortable ride...

My Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit is a wolf in sheeps clothing. The factory tires where never able to take what the truck could dish out, these tires can and then some. Wet traction is unbelivable and in Florida the roads don't just get wet, they have standing water all the time. The Summit is the high end luxury vehicle and I have not given up anything when it comes to a quiet, comfortable ride. I have had SUV's all my life and I have never found a better tire...really!

...My biggest concern buying was would the On/Off road be too off road and noisy. Not at all. As quiet as the OEM all weather no droning... In addition to quiet, they are excellent over bumps absorb and settle beautifully. A noticeably very comfortable ride.

I know these are brand new with only one trip of 200 miles . But look at the Tire Rack comparison test for this tire. I replaced the OEM CONTINENTAL CONTITRAC TR. These are impressive. I've not had them in all conditions mostly Hwy and unimproved road. My biggest concern buying was would the On/Off road be too off road and noisy. Not at all. As quiet as the OEM all weather no droning. Drove at Highway speeds , stop and go, then up and over the twists of VA's Shenandoah NP. Then over several miles of rutted cobble uphill unimproved road. Just outstanding. In addition to quiet, they are excellent over bumps absorb and settle beautifully. A noticeably very comfortable ride. Braking, traction, turn in, cornering, tracking at speed; just great. Aggressive tread provided excellent traction going up hill with loose rocks and gravel. Had a good rain before leaving. Excellent footing on the same wet rocks and gravel down hill.

Summary: these are quiet, comfortable, and predicable tires that absolutely live up the the TR test result. Hope they wear well as well and are as durable as the perform.

Love this tire for our Sequoia. Pretty quiet with excellent traction all around. Yet to puncture in the rocky Nevada desert. Tire excels at braking performance paired with an EBC stage-5 brake kit, as good as the Conti DWS106+ on my car. Will buy this tire over and over.
