The TrueContact Tour is Continental's Standard Touring All-Season tire developed for drivers of family sedans, coupes, minivans and small crossovers looking for sure-footed traction, a smooth, quiet ride and long tread life. TrueContact Tour tires are designed to combine premium levels of ride and noise quality with responsive handling and confident grip in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including light snow.
The all-season tread compound of the TrueContact Tour features temperature-activated functional polymers that aid tread life and fuel efficiency, and the symmetric pattern enables easy rotation intervals to combat irregular wear. Comfort Ride Technology incorporates an underlay beneath the tread that is designed to isolate the tread from the casing and reduce the amount of perceptible vibration in the cabin. Continental's +Silane additives enhance traction in slippery conditions, and the wide, circumferential grooves allow water to flow through the contact patch for improved hydroplaning resistance. Siped intermediate tread blocks and lateral notches in the shoulders create the biting edges needed for grip in snowy or icy conditions, and traction grooves trap snow in the tread to provide snow-to-snow traction.
The internal construction of the TrueContact Tour utilizes a single ply, polyester casing. The low- to mid-apex balances handling performance and ride comfort, while dual steel belts are reinforced by a high-strength, spirally wound nylon overlay to enhance durability and high-speed uniformity.

...Their traction in wet/snow conditions can be a near miss rather than a crash when an idiot changes lanes or slams on the brakes in rush hour traffic on the highway. They inspire confidence allowing one to concentrate on traffic in poor road conditions
I have another set on my other Hyundai. Their traction in wet/snow conditions can be a near miss rather than a crash when an idiot changes lanes or slams on the brakes in rush hour traffic on the highway. They inspire confidence allowing one to concentrate on traffic in poor road conditions

...The traction in the rain and on the hottest of days is outstanding, it has given us renewed confidence in taking her car on the highway...
First and foremost all 4 tires we bought were made in the USA! We had Milestar tires on my girlfriends car previously and it was time for them to go since they were out of round. These tires are night and day better. The traction in the rain and on the hottest of days is outstanding, it has given us renewed confidence in taking her car on the highway. They are very very quiet which was important seeing as it's a Town Car. You can put your feet on the floorboard and at 40 mph it feels like you aren't even rolling down the road. If you value safety, quality and comfort, buy these tires.

...Wet acceleration can induce some slip but tires have excellent grip on the highway even in heavy rain...
2010 Sienna XLE, running these tires at about 40 psi (vs. 35 psi recommended) to maximize treadlife; especially down in Florida where hot road surfaces eat away the tread. These tires work well on this non-sporty vehicle. Tire dry traction generally exceeds capabilities of the car. Wet acceleration can induce some slip but tires have excellent grip on the highway even in heavy rain. Limited snow experience has been very good and tires work well on the cold (above 10F) road surfaces I've traveled. Similarly excellent performance on an older Honda Accord a family member drives in Chicago. Would definitely buy again.

Most customers rate snow and deep snow traction highly with scores 8-10, delivering confident winter grip. Ice traction shows reliable performance with many 7-8 ratings, though some note variability in extreme conditions.

...Never lost grip in light snow...
I was really surprised with how well this tire works on this car. Never lost grip in light snow. Have not had any issues with hydroplaning, even in a heavy downpour going 75 mph. My wife was able to come to a complete and safe emergency stop in the rain on the highway. She even commented on how well she was able to stop. If she noticed something working well on her car, then it must really have been impressive. This tire is quiet but does have a slightly more stiff ride than the last set of Pirellis we had. Overall, I will be buying these again.

...Grip was excellent with these tires in dry conditions and it had surprisingly good snow performance which was a pleasant surprise...
Used these tires for 60,000 miles and recently caught a nail and upgraded to a more off-road worthy tire to help deal with New York weather. After about 60k miles I was almost bald on my fronts due to me not rotating tires & spirited driving style so it fell a little short of the 80,000 mile guarantee these tires come with. Grip was excellent with these tires in dry conditions and it had surprisingly good snow performance which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, continental is probably my favorite tire brand for commuter cars since they're very well rounded.

...Braking felt great on Dry pavement and steering response was nice
Tires arrived just in time for a Heavy wet snow fall in northern Ohio. Tires handled nicely to my surprise, being a new tire I would expect that. On highway wet condition the tires cut through the rain with no issue; hydroplaning might be and issue at higher speeds. Braking felt great on Dry pavement and steering response was nice

I was honestly thinking of selling the Prius due to the rough ride until I got the Continentals. What a difference. It feels like a new car...
I have a 2015 Prius with approx. 15K miles. I decided to buy new tires because the OEM Bridgestone EP 20's felt like I was driving on solid rubber . I was honestly thinking of selling the Prius due to the rough ride until I got the Continentals. What a difference. It feels like a new car. The Bridgestones were so hard they were causing the slip indicator warning light to come on. The Bridgestones may last longer if anyone can tolerate them that long. Very happy with my new tires.

...They are very comfortable over city streets and potholes, And also handle spirited driving well...
After driving with these tires for one year, I am glad that I use the tire rack guidance to lead me to these tires here. They handle much better than the stock Hancook tires that came with my Kia, they work great in the rain and snow. They are very comfortable over city streets and potholes , And also handle spirited driving well. They are not sporty tires but I did not buy them for that. The tread locks are holding up great and they appear to wear very evenly and look to last a long time. Will definitely buy again for normal all season year round driving!!!

...My only complaints would be slightly elevated road noise and a slight hit in the MPG department (neither were unexpected, or unbearable)...
Having owned these tires for 2 years, and at least 60,000 miles, I can confidently say that they offer some of the best performance in all conditions for their price. I have averaged nearly 30k miles per year while owning them (50%hwy/40%city/10%off-road); and encountered flooded roads, muddy/rocky trails, 5" of snow and instances of ice. These tires have conquered everything thrown at them, with very little tread wear to show for it. My only complaints would be slightly elevated road noise and a slight hit in the MPG department (neither were unexpected, or unbearable). Unless a miracle-tire is introduced in the next year that can match/best this tire on capabilities and tread life, I will continue to purchase this brand/style.
The Continental TrueContact Tour earns outstanding treadwear scores, with most ratings at 9-10. Even occasional 7-8 ratings highlight strong all-season longevity, demonstrating reliable tread life for touring drivers.

...5 full years, this is the first set of tires that I replaced because it worn all the way down to the tire wear mark. One tire on the back still has some life before the wear mark, but the inside surface starts waving significantly (defect?).
I just purchased this TrueContact today, March 2021, replacing the a set of 4 I bought in June 2016. 5 full years, this is the first set of tires that I replaced because it worn all the way down to the tire wear mark. One tire on the back still has some life before the wear mark, but the inside surface starts waving significantly (defect?). It's been a good ride tho, no complain. Although the price went up about $30/tires since then, still a good deal.

They are performing up to my expectations. During my years in the tire business I sold almost every other brand and really never considered Continental. But I am very glad that I read the reviews and switched. Of course I will know much better in 70,000 miles. I would say you should consider Continental!
