The TrueContact Tour is Continental's Standard Touring All-Season tire developed for drivers of family sedans, coupes, minivans and small crossovers looking for sure-footed traction, a smooth, quiet ride and long tread life. TrueContact Tour tires are designed to combine premium levels of ride and noise quality with responsive handling and confident grip in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including light snow.
The all-season tread compound of the TrueContact Tour features temperature-activated functional polymers that aid tread life and fuel efficiency, and the symmetric pattern enables easy rotation intervals to combat irregular wear. Comfort Ride Technology incorporates an underlay beneath the tread that is designed to isolate the tread from the casing and reduce the amount of perceptible vibration in the cabin. Continental's +Silane additives enhance traction in slippery conditions, and the wide, circumferential grooves allow water to flow through the contact patch for improved hydroplaning resistance. Siped intermediate tread blocks and lateral notches in the shoulders create the biting edges needed for grip in snowy or icy conditions, and traction grooves trap snow in the tread to provide snow-to-snow traction.
The internal construction of the TrueContact Tour utilizes a single ply, polyester casing. The low- to mid-apex balances handling performance and ride comfort, while dual steel belts are reinforced by a high-strength, spirally wound nylon overlay to enhance durability and high-speed uniformity.

These tires are supple and grippy on all surfaces that I have tried them including on wet brick pavement and mossy peripheries of steeep hillside cul de sacs. They were even pretty decent in moist sand!...
These tires really improved the feel of my wagon. I came from those Les Schwab only Toyo Synapse tires that were hard, not very grippy especially in the wet and wore quickly. Granted, the tires were ready for replacement upon acquiring the vehicle, but they were still noisy and hard. These tires are supple and grippy on all surfaces that I have tried them including old wet brick pavement and mossy peripheries of steeep hillside cul de sacs. They were even pretty decent in moist sand! #soob. Anyways, I'm real glad I didn't cheap out on tires, and neither should you.

I was looking for a tire with good for driving in wet conditions since I drive a light car. I tested it out on a wet day and the traction was great. I was really surprised at the control on wet roads. two other surprises. The handling and comfort of driving on the tires. they took a lot of the roughness in the drive, especially on bumping roads. They other is my mileage wen up about 3 or 4 miles per gallon. overall I am very pleased with the tires.

...I wouldn't have any other tire for wet and snow traction. I could do 70 in the rain or snow and you would feel like you're on dry pavementgreat traction definitely an 80,000 mile plus tire...
Have bought these tires on my last 3 cars. I wouldn’t have any other tire for wet and snow traction. I could do 70 in the rain or snow and you would feel like you’re on dry pavement great traction definitely an 80,000 mile plus tire. I only buy continental tires no matter what even if my new car doesn’t come with them.

...They handle great in all snow conditions, snowy hills, plowed and unplowed roads, packed snow, etc. Truly excellent snow performance...
After driving to and from Ohio as well as driving through several snow and ice storms I wanted to write a follow-up to my initial review below. First we continue to get appalling gas mileage with these Continental TrueContact Tour tires. Our best mpg traveling to Ohio was 26.2. Driving around town we get 23-24 mpg's. I've spoken to Continental asking how they can rate fuel efficiency 10/10 and why our mpg's have dropped nearly 8 mpg's. Was told the tire was thoroughly tested, but not on what vehicle(s). They said they would follow-up with further explanations. They also offered to replace the tires, but I think that's missing the point. Not sure what ECO PLUS+ with a gas pump symbol means. It's frustrating because I really believed what they wrote about these tires. They handle great in all snow conditions, snowy hills, plowed and unplowed roads, packed snow, etc. Truly excellent snow performance. Great tire overall but mpg's are absolutely horrendous.
Read many reviews of tires to replace the OEM's that came on our 2016 Subaru Crosstrek and concluded from all the positive accolades from the new Tour and previous TrueContact model, this was the tire to buy. The handling on wet and dry roads is truly superior, driving in the rain exudes confidence, and even driving around on our New Hampshire dirt and gravel roads the handling is outstanding. Nice quiet tire too, very low road noise. However, the gas mileage is ridiculously bad, to the point where I think the tire is somehow flawed or defective. Highway mileage with the OEM tires was 33mpg, with the TrueContact Tour we're barely getting 26mpg, 25.6mpg on the last fill-up. Had the balancing rechecked along with the air pressure, not sure why such a dramatic drop in mpg's? Called Continental Tires, was told milage "should" improve after 2/32" of the treads 11/32" wears off... Not really sure what that means...?

...Not much driving on snow and ice yet this part of Michigan yet, but what we have had shows me that these Continental's will perform just fine...
I've owned Continental products in the past, but never tried any of their Standard Touring All Season tires. This model was being closed out so the price was right along with the tires having favorable reviews, so I figured on giving them a shot. Installed them on my well maintained 'scratch and dent' daily driver. I'm a firm believer in having a safe, reliable transportation. My thinking is: regardless of the miles on the odometer, everything needs to operate as the manufacturer intended it to drive. This begins with having really good tires. Even on close-out, these tires weren't cheap and I trust the Tire Rack reviewers, so the process started. I've now had them on this +230,000 mile '08 Impala for about 1,000 miles and I really like them so far. Not much driving on snow and ice yet this part of Michigan yet, but what we have had shows me that these Continental's will perform just fine. I will give an update in a year or so to give a more educated comment on these tires, especially on wear and winter driving characteristics. So far, I'm very pleased with the m. Also wanted to thank all of the reviewers and thanks to you Tire Rack, you have a great business model that I think works very well.

...Compared to the OE tires, these Continental TrueContact Tour tires have much better traction and are much more quiet at all speeds...
Bought these Continental TrueContact Tour tires in 175/65R-15 to replace the OE Bridgestone Turanzas on my Prius C.
The Turanzas were good for MPG and tread wear with my driving style but that's about it. Otherwise, they generated a lot of road noise and had very poor traction under firm braking (dry) often activating ABS in the event of a short stop such as at a quick traffic light. In this case their poor traction is likely a result of them being designed for low rolling resistance and better fuel efficiency. After 9 years and some signs of age-related cracking between the treads, I decided to replace them even though they still had reasonable tread life.
I decided on these Continental TrueContact Tour tires for a few different reasons. 1. Exceptional user review rating. 2. High tread wear rating. 3. Continental is a world class tire manufacturer. 4. Reasonable price. 5. Sales promotion at the time of purchase gifted a sizable rebate via prepaid VISA card.
Compared to the OE tires, these Continental TrueContact Tour tires have much better traction and are much more quiet at all speeds. I didn't notice any change in fuel efficiency due to traffic and terrain having a much greater impact on that metric. Other than being a little dirty from normal use on the road, the tread still looks new.
Overall I am very pleased with these tires and I expect that they will last a long time for me. I will consider this model tire for this household's other vehicles when that time comes.

...Tire dry traction generally exceeds capabilities of the car...
2010 Sienna XLE, running these tires at about 40 psi (vs. 35 psi recommended) to maximize treadlife; especially down in Florida where hot road surfaces eat away the tread. These tires work well on this non-sporty vehicle. Tire dry traction generally exceeds capabilities of the car. Wet acceleration can induce some slip but tires have excellent grip on the highway even in heavy rain. Limited snow experience has been very good and tires work well on the cold (above 10F) road surfaces I've traveled. Similarly excellent performance on an older Honda Accord a family member drives in Chicago. Would definitely buy again.

Absolutely love these tires was looking for a good set of tires for my car and ran across these super low road noise, they handle great, ride amazingly on an older vehicle when buying these for the 2nd time don’t quite need them yet but have to do other work to the car. Have about another 20,000 miles on them still at least have made a few long distance road trips on them. Would highly recommend them for the price without questions and that is coming from a technician

I figured I could write a review on these tires now that I’ve had them on my Civic for 45k miles. I’ve done a forward-cross tire rotation with these tires every 5,000 miles (almost exactly to the mile every time) since new and these tires still look incredible! 7/32” and 6/32” as of today; even treadwear and still very quiet. I’ve been so impressed by these tires that I’ve sold sets of them to several of my friends and customers (I’m a Honda service advisor). These tires can get a little squirrelly if I step on the accelerator to briskly on wet surfaces, but that’s not unreasonable in my opinion. I would buy these again in a heartbeat, though I’m seriously considering the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06+ next time around for something a little different but still high-quality. This set of tires has made me a believer in Continental. When someone needs tire recommendations I default to Continental and Michelin. In my opinion these Continental tires give similar performance to some of Michelin’s comparable tires at 3/4 the price.
I absolutely would buy these again and I have recommend them to several people.
