The Cobra Radial G/T is Cooper's Performance All-Season tire developed to combine responsive handling and comfortable operation with all-season capabilities for the drivers of muscle cars, kit cars, light trucks and street rods looking for white-lettered performance tires. Blackwall and white-letter versions of the Cobra Radial G/T feature a stylized, Cobra Design Sidewall on the reverse side, allowing drivers to choose between the traditional, block-letter styling or the aggressive cobra design. The Cobra Radial G/T is designed to provide a smooth, quiet ride and year-round traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, even in light snow.

The Cobra Radial G/T features classic looks and modern performance. Utilizing an optimized, all-season compound, the tread pattern is designed with a specific focus on void ratio to maximize rubber-to-road contact for handling performance. The notched, continuous center rib provides solid on-center feel, and the tread element shape focuses on resisting uneven wear while delivering confident traction. Wide, circumferential grooves and open shoulder slots efficiently evacuate water from the footprint to resist hydroplaning, and the tire's independent tread blocks create multiple biting edges to improve all-season traction and provide year-round capability.

Internal construction of the Cobra Radial G/T consists of two low-stretch polyester casing plies to balance handling response with ride comfort, and two high-strength steel belts support the tread for stability.

Customers Say

Customer ratings showcase the Cooper Cobra Radial G/T as a standout choice for classic vehicles, with strong praise across key performance areas. Comfort receives consistent high marks (8-10 range) for its smooth ride and quiet operation, enhancing the driving experience. Dry traction earns near-perfect scores, with many users highlighting confident handling and responsive steering. Wet traction also impresses, with reliable grip and hydroplaning resistance noted in most reviews. Treadwear ratings are positive, though less critical for classic applications where tires often age out before significant wear occurs. Owners frequently describe these tires as transformative for their vintage cars, delivering modern performance while maintaining period-correct aesthetics.

...These Coopers are a step up in that department and are great all around.

I've run BFG Radial TAs forever, but they lacked performance in the wet. These Coopers are a step up in that department and are great all around.

...did super on dry roads handles well etc...

1/2 t. chevrolet truck loaded for handyman jobs.... fairly heavy, lots of combination driving, did super on dry roads handles well etc , will hydroplane some in heavy rain, light rains ok, not even made for snowy climates, looks really nice on any show trucks etc, smooth riding and quiet will not disappoint
my only disappointment was only 20,000 miles max on my loaded truck, probably a softer compound than my previous B F 's which went around 30k , but was a bit more costly..... can go too wrong with either set

...There's less sidewall bulge, they ride nicer and are more comfortable, are quieter, yet they handle better and have better steering response...

The factory size on the 1980 Camaro Z28 is P225/70R15. After researching sizes and clearances, I ordered Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires in P245/60R15 for the front and P255/60R15 for the rear, using the factory 15"x7" wheels (the rear size keeps the odometer/speedometer nearly the same as stock, as the new tire diameter is 27.01" compared to the stock size of 27.36", while the front allows for better clearance). I had them installed and had the opportunity to put 40 miles on them. They fit perfectly! They look so much better than the 10-year old Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires that these replaced (due to age). There's less sidewall bulge, they ride nicer and are more comfortable, are quieter, yet they handle better and have better steering response. And although I chose a non-factory tire size, there's zero rubbing (and the front of my car is lowered 1.5" from stock height; the rear is factory height). In the short driving I've done on these tires, I'm very impressed. They'll never see water, ice, or snow, but the rest of the rating categories are a 10. Definitely glad I chose these Cooper Cobras!

Great alternative to the BFG Radial T/A at a much cheaper price. These Coopers have a higher speed rating as well as a higher tread life vs. the T/A Radials.

At 45K miles on the tires now, overall I can say these tires have treated me well. Living in North Texas the weather changes constantly and these tires handled the changes well. However, I did get some slippage during wet conditions but that's because the back end of my Dakota is light but when I did carry a load the tires held up during the wet conditions. The tires are fairly quiet on the HWY and pretty comfortable and smooth on both HWY & City driving. Treadwear was good as long as you rotate the tires accordingly and your alignment is good. Stopping was decent as well. So for the money, IMO, I think it was a good purchase for my needs. I would consider buying these tires again.
