The Discoverer A/T3XLT is Cooper's On-Road All-Terrain tire designed for the drivers of pickup trucks, work vehicles and full-size SUVs who need a tire that provides the rugged durability required to keep up with their active lifestyles. Engineered to tackle dirt, gravel, mud and the urban jungle, the Discoverer A/T3XLT combines off-road prowess with agreeable on-road comfort and year-round traction, including in light snow.
Durable-Tread Technology combines a shred-resistant silica compound with the Discoverer A/T3XLT's next-generation all-terrain tread pattern. Cooper's Even Wear Arc Technology optimizes the shape of the footprint for balanced pressure at the contact patch, improving handling and promoting even treadwear. The tread pattern is designed to aid dry traction, while Whisper Grooves between the outboard tread blocks help reduce noise throughout the tire's life. Stone ejector ledges help prevent punctures due to stone drilling, and the Rugged Traction Shoulders feature alternating scoop and cleat lugs and biting edges designed for grip on rock, in thick mud or loose soil. Deep, circumferential channels and wide, lateral notches improve hydroplaning resistance, while multiple zigzag sipes in the independent tread blocks create the biting edges needed for traction in slippery conditions. Snow Groove Technology uses saw-tooth block edges to trap snow in the tread for effective snow-to-snow traction.
The internal construction of the Discoverer A/T3XLT consists of a robust, two-ply polyester casing. A single-ply, nylon reinforcement above two high-strength steel belts further increases durability and handling response, along with providing high-speed stability.

...Road noise doesn't exist, wet and dry performance are exceptional...
I've recommended these to everyone, honestly so grateful I found these tires. Road noise doesn't exist, wet and dry performance are exceptional. Amazing treadwear, what more could you ask for. On a another note I've had some scary curb hits, lifted trucks are not for most parking lots, these sidewalls have been thoroughly vetted. I've had them rotated 3 times, they have towed 8k plus for over 3k miles. They still role perfectly round. I run them at 42 psi, my installer put them at 55 psi.

I’ve only had these for 200 miles but the first day I had them on it rained all day and these tires did great. The next day it snowed and we ended up with about 4 inches and they never skipped a beat. The only issue was in what I would call icy slush at a stop light where they were a little loose. To be fair I had no weight in the back nor was I in 4 wheel drive. The next day I had to travel and hour away on the interstate and was running 75 all the way and only noticed a very slight hum. I had to really listen for it. I love the aggressive look that they give my truck. Again only 200 miles on them, but for now I’m happy and at $290 a tire I felt like it was a great deal.

...The AT3 XLT stick on road and off... They are better then both the Goodyears and the BFG in every way...
To be honest I had not heard of Cooper tires 6 months ago. I am glad I have now. Cooper makes tires for may others brands including Mickey Thompson. I did a lot of research and the ratings were so good I had to try them out. They are great tires. I would recommend them highly. Now let me tell you why. I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL and it had street tires on it. Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar 245/75/17 (stock tires). On a jeep they look like I skipped leg day. They worked well but did not look "Jeepish" . The Goodyears worked good on road and well off road too. I did not like the way they looked so I bought a set of Rubicon take off's with the BFG KO2 285/70/17 .. They looked good but that was it. Crap tires. I lost 6 MPG they dont stick on the road at more than 20% throttle . Off road they work better than the stock tires but not by a lot. The BFG extra sized could account for the better off road. They gave up a lot on road. I put about 6000 miles on BFG and would not recommend them to anyone I sold them and got the COOPER AT3 XLT and they are much better than the BFG KO2 in every way. The AT3 XLT stick on road and off. They are quieter smoother and I got back 3 of the 6 MPG that I lost. They are better then both the Goodyears and the BFG in every way. The Coopers AT3 XLT have good side bitters and look Jeep worthy. The Coppers are just a tad larger then the BFG in the same size. The Cooper AT3 XLT 285/70/17 are a great tire. If you are looking for a good Jeep tire give this a good hard look. It looks more aggressive in real life then in the photos. Another note the Coopers are an E load range so stronger. if you are thinking BFG KO2 get the Coopers AT3 XLT it is better in every way.

Just blown away by this tire. I use it everywhere such as deep snow, ice, mud, rocks, sand and highway! It is a super quiet tire on the freeway as I even forget I'm driving AT tires at speed. Then when it's time to turn off onto back roads, fire roads, gutted roads, muddy roads, snowstorm/blizzard enhanced travel and more...these tires always come through. I'd say these Discoverer XLT's are way better than any Toyo or similar, let alone the famous KO2 which should only be reserved for rides to starbucks since those both ---- in most conditions, though they look good and aggressive. The Discoverer AT3 XLT's have an aggressive look as well but actually come through for me every time. I am super impressed. I have put this model tire on my brand new 2023 F150 as well and they are perfectly adept for me to conquer everything. People forget that tires make the drive, not all of the technology from the truck manufacturer cuz without great tires for the condition you're in, the super crawl mode or Baja mode won't work worth a crap. Get some great tires and I recommend these if you want to be happy about your choice.

...These tires are have a comfortable ride and balanced out perfect.
I've only had these tires for 500 miles and I'm happy to say that Cooper has another new long term customer. These tires are have a comfortable ride and balanced out perfect. These tires handle very well in the rain and stop on a dime in the wet too. Soupy and watery mud were no match for the traction sidewalk blocks and deep channels of this tire. It churned through the mud and came out the hole cleaned out with no rocks in the tread. Haven't gotten to get these into snow yet but if they can go through soupy mud with ease then I can't imagine how well they'll do in deep snow. If your looking for a change from your regular BFG all terrain, then these coopers will not disappoint on or off-road

...Already I have 60,000 miles on them and they are ready to be replaced... At 60K they still have some life left, I would say about 5,000 miles or so but I don't like to get to the wear bars...
This review is on a set of Discoverer AT3's that I bought in 2018. Already I have 60,000 miles on them and they are ready to be replaced. Before I installed them I got a great alignment and cross rotated the tires every 10,000 miles. I drove through beach sand in a diesel cummins and didn't have to air down the tires. I went over slick and snowy mountain passes in Montana and Idaho with no problems. I pulled a 31 foot Airstream and no issues and that has over 500 pounds of tongue weight. They were always stable and handled well. At 60K they still have some life left, I would say about 5,000 miles or so but I don't like to get to the wear bars. I think the key is cross rotating so they run in opposite directions every 10,000 miles. You can do this on new radials without any problems so I recommend it.

...With only 6000 miles I can't really comment on wear, but I haven't noticed any abnormal wear so far...
These tires are great. The look better and drive better than the factory Firestones. These tires have significant less flex when cornering than the OE tires. They also have great grip. With only 6000 miles I can't really comment on wear, but I haven't noticed any abnormal wear so far. I have no complaints so far with these tires.
