The Enasave 01 A/S (Energy saver) is Dunlop's eco-friendly Passenger All-Season tire developed as Original Equipment for the Mitsubishi i MiEV (Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle) city car. In order to match the Mitsubishi i's high-tech all-electric drive train (no gas tank, no exhaust system and no CO2 vehicle emissions), the Enasave 01 A/S is designed to combine high environmental performance, a quiet ride and year-round traction, including in light snow.
The Enasave 01 A/S features a low rolling resistance tread compound molded into a symmetric design that provides uniform footprint pressure to promote traction while reducing tire energy loss. Independent tread and shoulder blocks bordered by circumferential and lateral grooves blend dry road and wet road capabilities, while strategically placed sipes add extra biting edges to promote snow traction. The tires internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped polyamide on top of a polyester cord casing.

Ratings indicate the Dunlop Enasave 01 A/S delivers strong dry traction (7-10 range) and a comfortable ride, with many praising its smoothness and quiet operation. However, treadwear scores show significant concerns (frequent 1-5 ratings), suggesting shorter lifespan than expected for a touring tire. Winter traction receives mixed feedback (3-6 range), with limited ice performance noted. Wet traction also shows inconsistency (5-7 range), though hydroplaning resistance fares slightly better. While dry handling and comfort align well with touring priorities, buyers should weigh the trade-offs in durability and seasonal versatility for all-weather use.

Enasaves came with my 2021 Toyota Corolla and I enjoy them... I find these quiet too...
Enasaves came with my 2021 Toyota Corolla and I enjoy them. Purchased new in Nov 2021 with 0 miles I now have 21,500 uneventful miles on this original set of 4. They run in a warm climate, have been rotated 3 times and are wearing well. I find these quiet too so I wanted to stay with these when I need to replace but the cost of just the uninstalled is $205 to $215 each and that is a bit much. I will have to shop, however, do feel I could stay with these because I am very impressed.

...They have a soft, comfortable ride even at 40PSI, and are fairly quiet...
I am a regular customer of the Tire Rack, though these tires came stock on the car. They feel like rubber-covered marshmallows, very soft and not up for hard cornering. Traction in the wet is fair to poor, do not even THINK about using these in the snow! Dry traction is acceptable, but there is a ton of understeer if you push hard. They have a soft, comfortable ride even at 40PSI, and are fairly quiet. The main purpose of these tires is high fuel mileage, which they do exceptionally well. If you are a very easy-going driver they might be worth replacing, but I am going to accept a mileage hit to get something that handles better and is not totally useless in Winter, once these wear out. At 8500 miles rotated frequently they have 6/32" tread remaining, which leads me to expect that they will last only about 24k miles.

Mixed wet traction scores (many 0-6) highlight hydroplaning concerns and slippery handling. Several customers report floating on wet roads, with mediocre performance for an all-season tire. While some rate it 7-10, frequent low scores indicate dissatisfaction.

Tires on front wheel drive light weight sub compacts don't have adequate traction on wet or dry hills and hydro planning is common. I don't drive more than 10 miles and over 35 mphduring wet or windy conditions.
Tires on front wheel drive light weight sub compacts don't have adequate traction on wet or dry hills and hydro planning is common. I don't drive more than 10 miles and over 35 mph during wet or windy conditions . Stability and ride comfort are non existent. Talked to car manufacturer rep and manufacturer about the tire issues. At 7000 tire rotation, dealership reported 6/32 left on front ties and 8/32 on rear tires. Will not drive over 65 mph with three passengers on these tires . I do not recommend to anyone. Mitsubishi needs to find another oem tire that's more durable and has better ride quality for the Mirage .

They are okay in the dry and quite enough. The main problem is the handling in the wet. It's downright dangerous on Florida roads. I'd spin the tires and slide if the roads were anything but bone dry. Also, I only got 29,100 miles out them. The general gmax-05's are only slightly louder, but are way safer in the the wet and handle so much better. I'd never consider buying these dunlops again.

...On wet roads, this behavior was even worse, and definitely did not inspire confidence...
These are the OEM tires on my 2020 Toyota Corolla Hatchback SE that I bought new in June of 2020. 25000 miles and nearly 2 years later, the tread is down to 3/32 in the front and slightly less than 4/32 in the rear. Rotated regularly at the dealer and pressure always maintained. Simply put, these tires will wear out pretty quickly. That's my biggest complaint with these tires. In corners, they always felt a bit "floaty" and not solidly planted to the pavement, although actual grip isn't horrible. On wet roads, this behavior was even worse, and definitely did not inspire confidence. Ride comfort is decent, and I never thought they were excessively noisy. Never drove in snow or ice with these, so can't make a judgement there.
In my opinion, this tire is a fair to poor performer with unacceptable tread life for the price. My recommendation is simple: pick another tire. You would have a hard time going wrong with just about anything else.

...With light snow on flat roads and highways I was able to get where I was going, however on a hill with a little snow the abs kicked in and could not stop my car, I was only going about 5mph and luckily no other cars were on the road...
OEM tires on my 2020 Corolla only lasted a little over 17k miles before I needed to have them replaced. The tires rode well initially but as they wore I noticed they became louder and less comfortable. With light snow on flat roads and highways I was able to get where I was going, however on a hill next to my house with a little snow the abs kicked in and could not stop my car, I was only going about 5mph and luckily no other cars were on the road. I chose to replace them as I have a state inspection due and at my 13k service 3 tires were at 4/32 and one was at 3/32 so they likely wouldn't pass inspection and I did not feel safe with winter approaching.

Treadwear scores reveal significant dissatisfaction, with many 0-4 ratings citing premature wear and needing replacement early. While some report 9s/10s, frequent mentions of rapid wear highlight poor tread life for an all-season tire.

...Unacceptable tread life. I have 10900 miles so far and I think it might last another 10000 ~ 15000 miles...
Came with my new 2022 Toyota Corolla hatchback SE. Average wet and dry braking. Below average wet handling. Average winter light snow handling. Slightly below average noise and comfort. Unacceptable tread life. I have 10900 miles so far and I think it might last another 10000 ~ 15000 miles. Don't recommend this tire. There are better options.

Have driven 7,400 miles. Tires wearing quickly. Hit a pothole and developed a sidewall bubble within a few days. My former car had Sumitomos, nowhere near as reputable as a brand, that took quite a beating before we traded in the car. Will replace with Bridgestones or other brand for sure.

After just 16k-18k miles, I was told I will need new tires soon, they barely passed inspection here in NY state after one year and 18k miles! ... no tires should be worn out from only 16k-18k miles!...
After just 16k-18k miles, I was told I will need new tires soon, they barely passed inspection here in NY state after one year and 18k miles! Other than that, they're decent tires, a little loud at highway speeds but also the car has almost no insulation so many things are loud at highway speeds! Also because of the car and these tires doing the speed limit of 55, driving mostly highway miles will get you 50+ mpg despite the EPA's 42 highway rating. Doing 65 in a 55 and 75 in a 65 will get you around the EPA's 42 mpg. I have had no major issues with these tires other than the terrible life of these tires...no tires should be worn out from only 16k-18k miles! Sad. I use to be upset when my 2000 and 2005 Neon Goodyear tires(later switched to 60k Cooper tires) were worn out after 36k miles, a little ridiculous Dunlop!
