Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tires are for drivers who want a combination of sophisticated low-profile tires/large rim diameter wheels to enhance their vehicle's appearance with all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are sometimes used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD light- and medium-duty crossover and sport utility vehicles.

O.E. Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Dunlop Reviews

Driver experiences vary with the Dunlop Grandtrek PT20. Dry traction stands out as a strength, with scores in the 7-9 range reflecting reliable grip and stable cornering for crossover/SUV use. However, comfort scores trend lower (3-5), with multiple reports of stiff ride quality and noticeable road noise. Treadwear receives mixed feedback, with some drivers noting premature wear despite moderate mileage expectations. Winter traction scores dip sharply (0-5), raising concerns about icy/snowy performance despite its all-season classification. Wet traction shows inconsistency, with hydroplaning resistance scoring 5-7 in most cases. While suitable for dry-road touring, drivers prioritizing comfort or winter capability may find limitations.

...Last winter was pretty mild, so i didn't a chance to test them in the snow, but they're pretty decent in dry and wet conditions...

These Dunlops came with my 2021 Toyota Venza hybrid. I made 71,000 miles on them (not a typo) in 1 year and 1 month, rotating them every oil change, 10,000 miles. I can't really complain about those tires, i still have another 10,000 miles or so left in them. Last winter was pretty mild, so i didn't a chance to test them in the snow, but they're pretty decent in dry and wet conditions. After 71,000 miles i'm still not getting any vibrations of road noise from them. I noticed a little less grip on in wet conditions lately, so i'll be replacing them shortly.

Wet traction shows concerning scores between 0-6, with frequent reports of mediocre performance and hydroplaning tendencies. While some rate 7-10, dissatisfaction dominates - many note slippery handling and floating on wet roads in this all-season tire.

...The tires had more grip in the dry than the dead steering lead me to expect, and never lost grip in the wet - but did aquaplane occasionally when hitting standing water...

TLDR:
Horrible tires - never again.
I replaced them after 3k miles because of their horrific behavior in snow and slush.

Fine in the dry, and adequate in the wet.
Sub-standard in snow, and downright dangerous in slush.
Harsh over surface irregularities, and road noise that announces - loudly - every change in surface.

Zero steering feel on my RAV4 hybrid, so the only information you get about the limit of adhesion is once you've gone past it.
Which means that driving in rain or snow is incredibly tense and exhausting.

Details:
My new 2021 RAV4 Hybrid was delivered in mid December - with the Dunlop Grand-T*rds installed.
I loved the RAV4 Hybrid from the get-go, but I immediately started looking for after-market shock-absorbers to try to smooth out the harshness over surface irregularities.
I also noted the absolutely dead steering - but I didn't buy the RAV4 for performance driving...

The tires had more grip in the dry than the dead steering lead me to expect, and never lost grip in the wet - but did aquaplane occasionally when hitting standing water.

Then it snowed.
Firstly, I was disappointed that I had to rock my 4WD SUV - with TRAIL mode enabled - back and forward just to get out of my parking spot.
Then on the road - plowed, and with with maybe 1/4 inch of fresh snow - I could feel the sideways slip on even mild curves, and so I was one of those cars traveling at 20 in a 40 zone, and driving those behind me crazy.

After 3 experiences on the same day of skating through slushy intersections at 3MPH - all with my 4-YO daughter on board - I realized these tires had to go before they caused a collision.

So after 3k miles I replaced them with Michelin CrossClimate2 tires which simultaneously fixed all the issues with my new car.
I no longer need new shocks, I no longer hold up the traffic in the snow, I can stop and turn safely in slush, the steering has feel, rain and standing water are non-events, and the car is quiet and serene on all normal surfaces.

...Wet traction is not good for a tire that wore out so quickly. At 32k miles they now hydroplane in the rain...

OE tire on my 2022 Toyota Venza LE. The tires wore evenly (they were rotated every 5k miles), with no cupping. Dry traction is acceptable. Wet traction is not good for a tire that wore out so quickly. At 32k miles they now hydroplane in the rain. We didn't get enough snow these last two winters to judge the tires for this. Soon to be replaced with another brand - leaning towards Continental CrossContact LX25.

...wet grip is nonexistent ( you'll be lucky if you don't die)...

Factory tires on my Rav4 Prime and these are by far the worst tires I've ever experienced on a vehicle. Dry grip is lackluster, wet grip is nonexistent ( you'll be lucky if you don't die) and the tires are completely bald after 20,000 miles. If you buy a Rav4, do yourself and everyone else on the road a favor and immediately replace these with literally any other tire!

Tire just slipped, has poor traction on light snow and on sharp turning, despite being so slow and careful. Low hydroplaning resistance. Also the road noise became quite high.
It’s OEM on my RAV4 Prime SE 2022 (Bought Oct 22). And I did dutiful factory 5k rotation maintenance.
Replaced these out at 32,956 miles (in Jan 2025) due to safety concerns in NJ weather. I will never buy Dunlop again. Replaced with Michelin Defender 2 - which is working great.
Of note - my prior Camry Hybrid 2012 never slipped - had Michelin tires - despite many heavy snowy / rain seasons. Toyota needs to get rid of Dunlop - needs better stock tires for the RAV4 Prime.

These are terrible in snow or wet roads. It just snowed here and I was slipping all over the road in an AWD suv. These were dealer tires- so they were probably just cheap for them to put on. Ordered a new set of BF Goodrich ADVANTAGE T/A SPORT LT - SIZE: 225/65R17 today and will see how those do.

These came with my 23 Rav4 XLE. Tires have thread but are feathering based on toyota service center causing vibration. They were good. All a sudden ride got uncomfortable and little noisy. Thought was the bearing but after 2 visits to dealer, they said was uneven threading and feathering.

...Tires got noisier and noisier, the ride was rough and I had no feeling of the road. By 20,000 miles, The tires were cupping so bad and were so horribly noisy I could not take one more day with this tire...

Worst tire I’ve ever owned after over 40 years of driving. They came on my brand new 2020 RAV4 Hybrid AWD. Initially, they weren’t too bad, but not great either. After a few thousand miles everything went downhill from there. Tires got noisier and noisier, the ride was rough and I had no feeling of the road. By 20,000 miles, The tires were cupping so bad and were so horribly noisy I could not take one more day with this tire. I’m a Michelin girl, but had a hard time finding my tire size. So I bought the Continental True Contact Tour tires. OMG!! These are the best tires I’ve ever owned, even better than the Michelins! No need to go back and pay a higher price for the Michelin brand. These tires are amazingly quiet, I feel the road nicely and they are rated top notch! 80k tread warranty! UTQG rating = 800 tread wear, A for traction and A for temperature. Outstanding!!! Check out the reviews on this tire - you will see how many awesome reviews are out there. My advice to you if you have Dunlop Grand Trek PT20 tires on your car…. replace them ASAP. Do it for your own safety and so you can enjoy a good ride in you car. Once you get rid of these stupid Dunlops, you will not regret it and you will realize how bad they are!!!! Shame on Toyota for putting this junk on their RAV4’s!!!

...If you're ready to replace tires, especially on your RAV4, I would definitely not recommend a set of these particular Dunlops, unless you don't care about noise, comfort or any appreciable handling characteristics.

These tires came on the vehicle when I bought it new and I had zero expectations that they would be a recommendable tire. Honestly I can't think of a time when I had a good set of tires that came with any new vehicle, and I've had plenty of them over the years. These tires are your basic, run-of-the-mill, la-de-dah, grocery-getters that'll last the average driver around 35-40,000 miles or more, if you keep them inflated, rotate properly and have good alignment. I drive 90% highway miles and they've worn decently. If I'd kept a better eye on my alignment, these tires would probably have lasted me about 60-70,000 miles. Your mileage may vary.

Additionally. the Dunlops never have been very confidence-inspiring, as you don't think they'll hold a corner well in wet, or even dry, for that matter. They have so far, but then again, I'm in my mid-50s and don't drive like a maniac anymore, so take that with a grain of salt. 25 year-old me could've told you a Road & Track style performance review, but I digress.

However, I will say the MPG out of these is great and if that's all you're concerned about, knock yourself out. If you're ready to replace tires, especially on your RAV4, I would definitely not recommend a set of these particular Dunlops, unless you don't care about noise, comfort or any appreciable handling characteristics.

...Within two years and less than 25k miles, I have been notified by the dealership that these tires need to be replaced despite the fact that I went to all of the suggested maintenance and tire balancing appointments I am absolutely floored that these are not even getting me close to 40 to 50K miles. I drive on very smooth and paved roads. There's no reason why these tires should have worn down this quickly.

...However by 25,000 miles, the tires were worn down much more than expected... By 30,000, tread remaining was minimal - enough that I did not feel comfortable driving in wet conditions. At 34,000, the metal was coming through the sides.

First time ever leaving a review like this, but AVOID these tires at all cost. These were OEM tires on our 2019 RAV 4 Hybrid XSE. Noise level was horrible from day 1 (much noisier than any other tire I've owned), but the ride was decent initially. However by 25,000 miles, the tires were worn down much more than expected and the road noise seemed to get louder. By 30,000, tread remaining was minimal - enough that I did not feel comfortable driving in wet conditions. At 34,000, the metal was coming through the sides.
Will never buy Dunlops again - sticking with Coopers, Michelin, Firestone, and BF Goodrich.
