Most customers rate dry traction highly, with scores between 8-10 highlighting responsive handling and reliable grip. Some lower ratings exist, but overall performance aligns well with Ultra High Performance All-Season expectations.

...The most frustrating thing about these tires is their dry traction, especially on takeoff. Cornering is acceptable, but my goodness, try taking off while turning and you can expect slippage.
These were OE on my Mazda Protege 5. Im not happy with them at all! The most frustrating thing about these tires is their dry traction, especially on takeoff. Cornering is acceptable, but my goodness, try taking off while turning and you can expect slippage. The other frustration is that after 13000 miles and regular rotation, the tread is nearly gone, and looks "cracked" in places. Unfortunately there arent many choices in this size tire, but I wont be buying this tire ever again.

OEM tires have shown fantastic dry weather traction. No sliding or tire squeal when thrown hard around our TN/NC mountain roads. Hydroplaning first noticed at about 20,000 miles - good wet traction prior to that. Noise level was high when new and has gotten much worse with wear. May replace with Kumhos

...They only broke free on me once, turning very hard onto an entrance ramp, and I missed the ramp. not their fault, however, i was doing 40 and it was a 120 degree turn. not many tires could do that.
good tires overall, i drive fast, turn hard and stop hard. these tires have done very well for me, and i am surprused at how long they have lasted with my driving style. They only broke free on me once, turning very hard onto an entrance ramp, and I missed the ramp. not their fault, however, i was doing 40 and it was a 120 degree turn. not many tires could do that. come to think of it, not many cars on rails could do that! i am very very disappointed in their snow traction, however. absolutely horrible, and i mean horrible. i would expect that i would get some kind of traction, but i guess i was wrong. nothing. nada. zip. buy seperate snow tires and have them mounted on steel wheels and put those on instead. or you could move to phoenix. not suggested for the northeast or any climate where it snows more than 12 inches a year. i am trying yokohamas next. wish me luck.

Very confortable ride on smooth and course roads. Have not traveled in snow yet so I cant comment on performance.
On smooth surface (blacktop) roads very quite on concrete or different type surface you can hear the tire noises. If air pressure is to high in tire you have a hard road ride.

...The car has a lot of built in sound deadening so the tread pattern noise is not bothersome and disappears above 40 MPH. The ride comfort over bumps, potholes, and tar strips is noticeable but not harsh or annoying...
I bought a used Hyundai Genesis with the Dunlop OE tires.
The car and tires had 18,000 miles on . I've driven 2500 more miles.
I like the tires on this sporty 4 door sedan. The car has a lot of built in sound deadening so the tread pattern noise is not bothersome and disappears above 40 MPH.
The ride comfort over bumps, potholes, and tar strips is noticeable but not harsh or annoying. I rated ride comfort and noise level a 7 out of 10.
The real strength of this tire is handling, cornering, and stability at high speed. There are sections of highways I use with a 75MPH speed limit. The tires are very steady and stable @ 75+. I sneak up to 100MPH when no one's looking. No problem.
I rated it at 9 out of 10 for cornering and dry traction.
Steering response is excellent. The tire tracks true and goes wear you point it.
I rated it 10 out of 10.
I've driven the car on wet pavement and in heavy rain. The wet traction is good but not great. I rated it 8 out of 10. I have not driven in snow but did get stuck in my lawn on a flat spot. I'm guessing snow and ice traction would be about the same near to none
I measured the remaining tread @ 5/32 of an inch. That's half gone at 20K.
The car had obviously been well taken care of including wheel alignments, tire rotation, and balance. I've had the tires rotated and balanced @20K.
The tire wear on all tires is even and smooth. The tires have no cupping or worn wear patterns.
I won't buy another set of these tires after another 10K miles when they're due for a change.
I'm going for a softer, quieter, more luxurious ride probably a Pirelli Cinturato P7 all season Plus which should get better mileage also.

Tires are just now getting to the point of needing replacement (after 43k miles in just a year). They were okay in the snow, and great everywhere else. The only issue I have with the Dunlops is the price.

Many customers report disappointing wet traction with scores between 0-6, noting slippery handling and hydroplaning concerns. While some rate it 7-8, frequent low ratings highlight mediocre wet performance for an all-season tire.

Overnight, at 11,000 miles, these tires went from adequate to useless in the rain, for stopping, starting, hydroplane resistance; I am now very careful when I corner. This low-powered car has an automatic transmission, so I cant really drive the car hard. Tread depth is 7/32 at the front, and 8/32 at the back, although the tires were rotated 5,000 miles ago. These tires are still fantastic in the dry, but its not always dry, and Ive read enough about them to know not to try them in the snow. Steering response with 195/50-16 stock size is great, and nobody complains about the stiff ride, which is as much to do with the suspension, as the tires.

...They had to use their minivan to push my car into their slopped driveway because the Dunlops would not get any traction to pull the car into their slopped driveway, there wasnt any snow or anything just on wet driveway! And when this happened I had only 5500 miles on the car and tires!!!...
These Dunlops were the factory equipped tires and they were horrible. I had to replace all four tires at 19k miles due to tread wear(I have always gotten atleast 30k out of a set of tires). I replaced them with a set of BFGoodrich G force sport tires(205/50/ZR16) and am extremely pleased with my BFGs, and have nearly 10k on the BFGs with no noticable tread wear! I bought this vehcile new on 1-9-04 and in 3-04 took the car to Spokane, WA to visit friends. I happened to get there while it was raining. They had to use their minivan to push my car into their slopped driveway because the Dunlops would not get any traction to pull the car into their slopped driveway, there wasnt any snow or anything just a wet driveway! And when this happened I had only 5500 miles on the car and tires!!! After the horrible experience with these Dunlops I will never recommend a Dunlop tire to anyone I know. I do alot of driving (my Pr5 is only 11 months old and I have over 29k on the car) and have never had a set of tires that were so crappy in my life. I say dont buy these tires, you wont be happy with them.

OEM tires on my Protege5. Overall not a bad tire. Did much better in the snow than I expected. Wet traction leaves much to desire, but when its dry the tires are very predictable and stable.

Winter traction ratings reveal concerning performance, with many scores between 0-5 in snow, ice, and deep snow. Despite being an all-season tire, customers report slippery conditions, loss of traction, and being stuck, indicating unacceptable winter capability.

...NOT WITH THESE TIRES... I live in Minnesota, and we have had a lot of snow lately. My traction with these tires has been so bad in the snow and ice, the weekend before New Years I was actually calling the Ford dealership, getting quotes on dumping my LEASED Genesis, so I could get a used Ford Edge with AWD...
These tires came standard on my new Hyundai Genesis V6, with 17 inch wheels. I leased the car back in August. My original goal for my next car was to get something with AWD, however the deal for the Genesis was too good. The rear wheel drive didn't bother me, since I have previously owned a Jaguar S-Type and a Chrysler 300C. Both those cars did fine in the snow, not fantastic of course, but with stability control, acceptable.
NOT WITH THESE TIRES. I do not blame the car, which is pretty great, but I live in Minnesota, and we have had a lot of snow lately. My traction with these tires has been so bad in the snow and ice, the weekend before New Years I was actually calling the Ford dealership, getting quotes on dumping my LEASED Genesis, so I could get a used Ford Edge with AWD.
I just ordered a set of Continental winter tires (I apologize, I don't remember exactly which ones) from TireRack. I certainly hope, and am fairly confident that my traction will substantially improve.
I LITERALLY FEAR FOR MY LIFE. There is a left turn, off a highway, I must make everyday. There is always snow and ice in the center, where I have to wait for the oncoming cars to pass. I have more than once, THOUGHT I could make it, only to slam on the brakes in a panic, because I don't think I will be able to dart across the 30 feet of highway to safety. I think that says it all. I bought new tires simply out of safety.
I have a slight incline in front of my house, when I back out in the morning, I place it into drive, I can hardly move. My neighbors were out shoveling, a pickup truck came up behind me, and my neighbors after seeing me spin my wheels wanted to start help pushing. How embarrassing.
As for Hyundai, great car, but I am shocked they chose these tires. Maybe to keep the costs low, they got a deal on these tires. I think they are pretty good in the dry, and OK on the wet. But no exaggeration, they are just plain dangerous in the snow.

...Snow traction is horrible. Wet traction is good. If you live in a place with no winter, these are ok tires.
These tires are OE on my Mazda and I have gotten 36K miles on them so far, not bad for a VR tire. However, they do wear fast (typical of VR tires) and they have just about lived their life. Snow traction is horrible. Wet traction is good. If you live in a place with no winter, these are ok tires. If you are winter-prone, find something else, but good luck doing that for the Mazda Protege.

I did not buy these tires, sadly they came with the car. I've been driving for 6 years. These are the first "All Season" tires that I hydroplaned in while driving. The tires do not respond well on wet/icy/snowy roads. Honestly I expected better for "All Season" tires. Calling these tires "All Season" is a stretch! Buy at your own risk. Tread wear is quick.

one rotation and i don't burnout on my tires, cause i know how expensive they are. i don't recommend these tires to anyone with this vehicle. I am very displeased and to say the least shocked, how a i4 2.0 could possibly spin these tires, when the torque band is 2-6 rpm when the mivec kicks in but thats 150 pounds of fury wow!!
