The SP Sport 7000 A/S is one of Dunlop's High Performance All-Season radials developed for Original Equipment use on sporty sedans. The SP Sport 7000 A/S is designed to combine low noise, good ride comfort and dependable handling while blending traction on dry and wet roads, as well as in light snow.

The SP Sport 7000 A/S molds an all-season tread compound into an asymmetric design that features independent tread blocks on the outboard shoulder, nearly continuous intermediate and center ribs, and siped independent tread blocks in the inboard shoulder to combine dry road responsiveness with highway stability and low noise. Circumferential grooves and lateral notches help water flow through the tread design to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by Dunlop's Jointless Band (JLB) technology that uses spirally wound polyester or nylon cord (depending on tire size and application) on top of a polyester cord casing to combine high-speed durability with a comfortable ride.

Customers Say

Customers think the Dunlop SP Sport 7000 A/S delivers excellent dry traction and responsive handling, with many ratings in the 7-10 range. Wet traction shows mixed feedback, with some noting reduced grip (scores 4-7) and hydroplaning concerns in heavy rain. Comfort receives mixed reactions, with some finding the ride harsher than expected (scores 3-6 common). Treadwear is a common concern, with several reports of faster-than-expected wear (scores 0-5 frequent). While dry performance stands out for high-performance all-season use, buyers prioritizing wet weather confidence or long-term durability may want to weigh these trade-offs.

...Dry traction was great...

68,000 miles on these tires. Came with my 2009 Accord LXP, 4cyl.

- Just bought another set, 68k on these were awesome
- Had no issues with noise as others state, my accord has high wind noise so it doesn't matter
- Had no issues with hydroplaning, handled in terrible rain excellently
- Handled snow in new england with no problems
- Dry traction was great
- Great tires, picked up a 2nd set, to get my accord to 140k
- No cupping issues, I rotate my tires every 10k miles, tires cupping? that means you aren't rotating
- Look at others reviews, MANY are getting 50k+ miles on these tires, that speaks volumes

...Dry performance is more than enough for this kind of car, and totally confident all the time...

These tires came as OE on my '08 Accord. Dry performance is more than enough for this kind of car, and totally confident all the time. Wet performance is a little worse (obviously) but still fine--only when taking corners or accelerating faster than you should do you notice anything different. Snow performance was surprising and people have asked me if I'd gotten snow tires installed, but ice is very dangerous and I haven't driven in deep snow yet. However, surprised that I haven't gotten stuck yet this winter.

...This size tire is very wide and the grip on dry pavement was very good. Cornering was also adequate...

OEM tires that came with the vehicle. This size tire is very wide and the grip on dry pavement was very good. Even during last year's bad New England winter, these tires got me through ok.....not spectacular but very serviceable. Cornering was also adequate. I got 51,000 miles from them which isn't too bad either. The noise level on these things was awful however. And when it was raining, it was even worse! At $200 a pop to replace them, I opted to buy Michelin Premier A/S tires which outrated the Dunlop's in every category and I got them at $180 each.

...Wet traction is below average and driving them in any type of snow is downright scary. The car refuses to pull any hill with even the smallest amout of snow on them...

I'm posting this review again. I previously wrote a review on this tire but I can't seem to find it anywhere. First let me state that I did NOT purchase this tire from Tire Rack. Rather, they came on my Accord and are offered on Tire Rack as OE replacements. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and drive in all 4 seasons and on a mix of highway/City /Rural roads.

These Dunlops are the worst tires I have ever owned. Wet traction is below average and driving them in any type of snow is downright scary. The car refuses to pull any hill with even the smallest amout of snow on them. There were several times last winter when the car became stranded coming to a complete stop. Not only is this dangerous but embarassing. This is unacceptable for any modern tire. These tires are so bad I would not recommend them to any one at any price. Shame on Goodyear for producing such trash! I'll look to Michelin for my next set of tires.

...She complained of loss of traction in light snow and wet conditions and this is on an all wheel drive vehicle...

This was O.E. On my wife's Infiniti EX35 and you know it's bad when she gives me the go ahead to spring for new tires with less than 27k on the originals. She complained of loss of traction in light snow and wet conditions and this is on an all wheel drive vehicle. You can feel every pebble you hit, road noise was extreme with a WHOP, WHOP, WHOP that even passengers commented on. Religious rotation and alignment kept the tread wear even but did nothing to prevent the early death of a horrible tire. Sorry to be so harsh, but better me reviewing this tire than my wife!

The absolute worst tire on a wet road, from a stop light push the gas and slip, slip, slip, as traction control has to keep the tires from spinning I swear this tire does better in the snow then rain...

The tire with 22,000 miles on it is showing heavy wear on the outer edges, heavy cracking on the outer and inner edges. worried about the tire failing. The absolute worst tire on a wet road, from a stop light push the gas and slip, slip, slip, as traction control has to keep the tires from spinning I swear this tire does better in the snow then rain. Would I buy this again NO!!!! My Honda place replaces my first three sets of my choice so that is why I am on here looking for my next set.

...The first time I felt the back end slip out while cornering in snow, I was concerned. By the third time this happened, I literally double-checked to make sure that we weren't given the RWD version of this car... this tire is really dangerous in the snow...

These came standard on an Infiniti QX50 that we bought just prior to last winter. I grew up driving real and front-wheel drive cars in the snow, so I've been trained well. The first time I felt the back end slip out while cornering carefully in snow, I was concerned. By the third time this happened, I literally double-checked to make sure that we weren't given the RWD version of this car. Then I checked the TR reviews for the tires -- the reviews are spot on: this tire is really dangerous in the snow. They're getting replaced before another winter goes by.

This is a decent tire, seems to wear fast and i religiously rotate and balance my tires. good dry/wet tire had difficulty with any type of snow. I'd spend the extra $3 a tire on Bridgstone Potenza G 019 Grid.

...Initially, these tires performed well, and I was not expecting great results in rain and snow from wide 45 series tires, but as mileage passed 20,000 they quickly started feeling squirmy, and yet harsh over mildly rough surfaces...

OEM tires on the Suzuki Kizashi. Not bought at Tire Rack.
Initially, these tires performed well, and I was not expecting great results in rain and snow from wide 45 series tires, but as mileage passed 20,000 they quickly started feeling squirmy, and yet harsh over mildly rough surfaces. Tread wear looks like it could go to near 30,000 miles but the ride quality has deteriorated so quickly that I will be replacing them.
They had a tendency to "tramline" slightly, that is, ruts or bumps in pavement would steer the direction of the wheel. Slight at first but now it's actually a little scary.
I believe different vehicles have different experiences with this tire, and mine may be more likely with wider sizes, but from my experience I can't recommend this tire.

This tire was the OEM tire for my Nissan Rogue. When new this tire was just a little loud. After 30000 miles, this tire became very loud and was worn to about 6/32. At 41000 miles, these tires were unbearably loud and hard riding ruining the ride of the vehicle and were worn to 4/32 and were also beginning to hydroplane. I rotated them every 7500 miles and they seem to have worn evenly, but for the price, I could not justify buying a set and replaced them with a set of Yokohama Avid Envigors.

I had these tires on my 2010 Honda fit, less than 17,000 I had already had to replace 2 (very worn), one tire was wearing very uneven and quicker than the others as I have rotated it to the rear and the tread was still wearing very fast.

The other 2 tires have about 20% life left but they all of the rubber on the tread is dry and cracking.

Dry traction is good, wet is good, light snow is good, I got a pair of Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport it seems to be a much better tire (for the summer).

Tires have horrible wear on the portion of the tread where the sidewall meets the tread pattern. Inside portion has the cords showing on three tires. Tread is as low as 4/32" on one. The rest are 5/32". I recently took a trip and didn't know that the tires were this bad as Toyota had not noticed in their recent service inspection. A disaster waiting to happen. After having talked to Dunlop, I was informed that the lifespan of these tires is 34,000. Horrible for a tire that costs $215 per.
