The SP Sport 7000 A/S is one of Dunlop's High Performance All-Season radials developed for Original Equipment use on sporty sedans. The SP Sport 7000 A/S is designed to combine low noise, good ride comfort and dependable handling while blending traction on dry and wet roads, as well as in light snow.

The SP Sport 7000 A/S molds an all-season tread compound into an asymmetric design that features independent tread blocks on the outboard shoulder, nearly continuous intermediate and center ribs, and siped independent tread blocks in the inboard shoulder to combine dry road responsiveness with highway stability and low noise. Circumferential grooves and lateral notches help water flow through the tread design to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by Dunlop's Jointless Band (JLB) technology that uses spirally wound polyester or nylon cord (depending on tire size and application) on top of a polyester cord casing to combine high-speed durability with a comfortable ride.

Customers Say

Customer surveys indicate the Dunlop SP Sport 7000 A/S delivers excellent dry traction (scores 8-10) with responsive handling, aligning with its high-performance all-season design. Wet traction shows mixed results, with some drivers noting reduced confidence in heavy rain and hydroplaning resistance scoring as low as 2-5. Ride comfort receives varied feedback, with noise levels and harshness mentioned as drawbacks by those prioritizing refinement. Treadwear emerges as a key concern, with many reports of rapid wear and lower-than-expected tread life, particularly for drivers seeking long-term value. While dry performance stands out, the tire's wet capabilities and longevity may not meet the demands of all-season users expecting balanced performance.

...Dry traction was great...

68,000 miles on these tires. Came with my 2009 Accord LXP, 4cyl.

- Just bought another set, 68k on these were awesome
- Had no issues with noise as others state, my accord has high wind noise so it doesn't matter
- Had no issues with hydroplaning, handled in terrible rain excellently
- Handled snow in new england with no problems
- Dry traction was great
- Great tires, picked up a 2nd set, to get my accord to 140k
- No cupping issues, I rotate my tires every 10k miles, tires cupping? that means you aren't rotating
- Look at others reviews, MANY are getting 50k+ miles on these tires, that speaks volumes

...good dry/wet tire...

This is a decent tire, seems to wear fast and i religiously rotate and balance my tires. good dry/wet tire had difficulty with any type of snow. I'd spend the extra $3 a tire on Bridgstone Potenza G 019 Grid.

...Dry traction is good...

I had these tires on my 2010 Honda fit, less than 17,000 I had already had to replace 2 (very worn), one tire was wearing very uneven and quicker than the others as I have rotated it to the rear and the tread was still wearing very fast.

The other 2 tires have about 20% life left but they all of the rubber on the tread is dry and cracking.

Dry traction is good, wet is good, light snow is good, I got a pair of Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport it seems to be a much better tire (for the summer).

...Wet traction is below average and driving them in any type of snow is downright scary...

I'm posting this review again. I previously wrote a review on this tire but I can't seem to find it anywhere. First let me state that I did NOT purchase this tire from Tire Rack. Rather, they came on my Accord and are offered on Tire Rack as OE replacements. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and drive in all 4 seasons and on a mix of highway/City /Rural roads.

These Dunlops are the worst tires I have ever owned. Wet traction is below average and driving them in any type of snow is downright scary. The car refuses to pull any hill with even the smallest amout of snow on them. There were several times last winter when the car became stranded coming to a complete stop. Not only is this dangerous but embarassing. This is unacceptable for any modern tire. These tires are so bad I would not recommend them to any one at any price. Shame on Goodyear for producing such trash! I'll look to Michelin for my next set of tires.

...She complained of loss of traction in light snow and wet conditions and this is on an all wheel drive vehicle...

This was O.E. On my wife's Infiniti EX35 and you know it's bad when she gives me the go ahead to spring for new tires with less than 27k on the originals. She complained of loss of traction in light snow and wet conditions and this is on an all wheel drive vehicle. You can feel every pebble you hit, road noise was extreme with a WHOP, WHOP, WHOP that even passengers commented on. Religious rotation and alignment kept the tread wear even but did nothing to prevent the early death of a horrible tire. Sorry to be so harsh, but better me reviewing this tire than my wife!

The absolute worst tire on a wet road, from a stop light push the gas and slip, slip, slip, as traction control has to keep the tires from spinning I swear this tire does better in the snow then rain...

The tire with 22,000 miles on it is showing heavy wear on the outer edges, heavy cracking on the outer and inner edges. worried about the tire failing. The absolute worst tire on a wet road, from a stop light push the gas and slip, slip, slip, as traction control has to keep the tires from spinning I swear this tire does better in the snow then rain. Would I buy this again NO!!!! My Honda place replaces my first three sets of my choice so that is why I am on here looking for my next set.

...The first time I felt the back end slip out while cornering in snow, I was concerned. By the third time this happened, I literally double-checked to make sure that we weren't given the RWD version of this car... this tire is really dangerous in the snow...

These came standard on an Infiniti QX50 that we bought just prior to last winter. I grew up driving real and front-wheel drive cars in the snow, so I've been trained well. The first time I felt the back end slip out while cornering carefully in snow, I was concerned. By the third time this happened, I literally double-checked to make sure that we weren't given the RWD version of this car. Then I checked the TR reviews for the tires -- the reviews are spot on: this tire is really dangerous in the snow. They're getting replaced before another winter goes by.

...However, I am not happy with the performance in snow and ice...

These tires were original equipment on my 2009 Accord LX-P. The tires handle well on dry pavement. I haven't had a problem with these tires in the rain. However, I am not happy with the performance in snow and ice. Next time I need all season tires, I'll buy a different tire.

...Initially, these tires performed well, and I was not expecting great results in rain and snow from wide 45 series tires, but as mileage passed 20,000 they quickly started feeling squirmy, and yet harsh over mildly rough surfaces...

OEM tires on the Suzuki Kizashi. Not bought at Tire Rack.
Initially, these tires performed well, and I was not expecting great results in rain and snow from wide 45 series tires, but as mileage passed 20,000 they quickly started feeling squirmy, and yet harsh over mildly rough surfaces. Tread wear looks like it could go to near 30,000 miles but the ride quality has deteriorated so quickly that I will be replacing them.
They had a tendency to "tramline" slightly, that is, ruts or bumps in pavement would steer the direction of the wheel. Slight at first but now it's actually a little scary.
I believe different vehicles have different experiences with this tire, and mine may be more likely with wider sizes, but from my experience I can't recommend this tire.

...340 Treadwear is unheard of for an all season tire. I now have 42,000 miles on the vehicle with almost no tread life left...

This is an O.E tire that came with my vehicle. 340 Treadwear is unheard of for an all season tire. I now have 42,000 miles on the vehicle with almost no tread life left. Awful tire noise, fast rate of tire wear, expensive replacement cost, limited snow traction and hydroplane resistance makes this tire ineligible for purchase in the future. I would highly recommend buyers to steer away from this model, let alone the Brand of tire totally, and save some cash and purchase a better tire. Dunlop used to be good, now its just garbage.

Tires such as Continental and Bridgestone are of exceptional quality and can be considered as replacement for these O.E tires.

These tires came with my 08 Accord. I've always achieved 40-55k on a set before having to replace and mine started significantly wearing after 15k miles. Wear is even/alignment good/tire pressure kept at 30-32 cold inflation pressures/ rotated every 10k per Honda maintenance schedule. My driving style is very average/easy going. There is no snow or ice or a lot of rain in west texas and this tire has been great except for treadwear. Unsure whether this is normal wear and if I should replace with this OEM tire. Honda says these are 30,000 mile tires. They are a bargain at $77 a piece.
