The Potenza Sport is Bridgestone's Max Performance Summer tire developed for the drivers of ultra high performance sports cars, coupes and sedans who want to maximize their driving experience in warm, wet and dry conditions. Like all Max Performance Summer tires, the Potenza Sport is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near-and below- freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Bridgestone Ptenza Sport Callouts

The Potenza Sport utilizes large, uninterrupted circumferential ribs for enhanced longitudinal grip and broad, outboard shoulder blocks for increased cornering traction and lateral stability. The next-generation tread compound provides reinforcement and improved block stiffness which promotes responsive steering and high speed handling. Additionally, the enhanced compound focuses on advancing wet traction and stability for capable wet performance. The specially engineered pattern geometry ensures even contact patch pressure while promoting water evacuation for even wear and hydroplaning resistance. Tuned tread block sequencing and lateral notches help minimize tread harmonics for a comfortable ride and low road noise.

The internal construction of the Potenza Sport features a single polyester casing mated to twin steel belts which are reinforced by a robust aramid-nylon cap ply.

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

...I cannot describe how impressed I am with the snow performance of these tires. 7" snowfall as they were being installed and as I pulled out they immediately were tested. 200% improvement in my traction and handling in the snow...

Bought a set of these after the impressive performance of the Falken Wildpeaks on my Wife's AWD Sienna. I went with the Aklimate because my FWD Equinox is absolutely AWFUL in the snow up here during our Michigan winters. I cannot describe how impressed I am with the snow performance of these tires. 7" snowfall as they were being installed and as I pulled out they immediately were tested. 200% improvement in my traction and handling in the snow. Cannot recommend enough.

...Spent time in the mtns, snowy roads, as well as I eye backwoods. I couldn't be happier with performance of these tires!!

Went to Wyoming 2 days after install (885 mIles). Not nearly as loud in interstate driving as I assumed they would be. Spent time in the mtns, snowy roads, as well as I eye backwoods. I couldn't be happier with performance of these tires!!

...Also handle fine in dry conditions, not bad on noise despite fairly deep tread.

Happy I tried a snow rated all-season vs a full snow tire--so far are working great in light snow in NY Hudson Valley. Also handle fine in dry conditions, not bad on noise despite fairly deep tread.

...Dry and wet traction were pretty decent...

I bought these wanting a severe snow service rated tire, but not having to shell out a lot money for them. These were quite impressive in the snow which was handy for the bad snowstorms I drove in last year. Dry and wet traction were pretty decent. The one thing I will note is that after about 15,000 miles the tires starting becoming a little bit louder. Overall, they're pretty decent with some enhanced winter capabilities without paying a fortune.

...Road grip during breaking, on dry pavement, was excellent...

Drove approximately 2000 miles so far, mostly highway. Tires preform very well, meets my expectations. Wet pavement (limited chances to test) performance is good, occasional slipping when accelerating from a stop but better than previous Continental tires. May not be noticeable to less "spirited" drivers. No unease or need to reduce speed for highway curves. Highway road noise was minimal (barely noticed). Road grip during breaking, on dry pavement, was excellent. Overall great tires so far.

...Excellent treadwear. I rotated my tires recently and I can minimally tell the difference between the front and back tires...

These tires performed remarkably the few times it snowed or iced in NE Oklahoma. They sound like truck tires a tiny bit on the highway, but I kindof like it. Excellent treadwear. I rotated my tires recently and I can minimally tell the difference between the front and back tires. Will definitely buy another set for my next tire purchase.

...I've had them on my CRV for a year now and put on just shy of 20k miles. If they wear as expected through their lifetime, I will definitely buy them again.

Highly recommend these tires. I’ve had them on my CRV for a year now and put on just shy of 20k miles. They have done a great job in all sorts of road conditions. If they wear as expected through their lifetime, I will definitely buy them again.
