The Azenis FK460 A/S is Falken's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire for drivers of sport coupes, muscle cars, performance sedans and CUVs, and sport EVs (Electric Vehicles) seeking reliable dry grip, confident wet handling, and capable light snow traction as well as comfort, and reasonable tread life.

Falken Azenis FK460 A/S callouts

The Azenis FK460 A/S utilizes an Advanced Nano 4D compound molded into an asymmetric tread design featuring large, high-grip chamfered tread blocks, engineered to deliver competent dry grip and heightened cornering capability at higher speeds. A wide footprint maximizes contact with the road surface for optimal traction, while strong shoulder blocks amplify high-performance handling in dry conditions. Full-depth emerging grooves enhance wet traction when new and expand as the tire wears for improved wet weather performance throughout the tire's life. Four circumferential grooves provide ample pathways to generous lateral shoulder voids for efficient water evacuation and hydroplaning resistance. Transverse notches provide biting edges for enhanced all-season traction and combine functionally with interlocking sipes on the inboard section for reliable traction in slush and light snow.

Internal construction of the Azenis FK460 A/S consists of two high-tensile steel belts atop a reinforced two-ply polyester casing. A polyamide cap ply further stabilizes the tread for high-speed handling and durability.

Limited sizes of the Azenis FK460 A/S are available with Falken's Silent Core technology, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

Very good wet traction...

Very good wet traction. Very quiet tire also. I drive my Corvette all year so I wanted a tire that could handle the wet and the cold.
Very happy with my purchase. Great tire for the money.

...SNOW-still early in the season, but received about 2 inches if snow, and these sites performed well in the light snow. Good traction and I can feel the tires digging into the snow to give the car the grip it needed...

When I needed to replace my tires on my Model Y 2021, I didn't want to pay an exorbitant amount of money for the stock Goodyear tires and they had no Millage warranty.

I went with the fallen and only have 1500 miles on them but I absolutely love these tires for a a few reasons. I live in the northeast and withing the 1000 miles here is what I found.

1-DRY-Handles amazing on dry pavements. I can feel that they are grippy and has good contact with the road, excellent.

2-Rain/wet-the first day I had these tires on we got an exorbitant amount of rain, and these tires held up like a champ… Great contact with the pavement, excellent expulsion of water, thus less chance of hydroplaning… Just an all-around good tire.

3-SNOW-still early in the season, but received about 2 inches if snow, and these sites performed well in the light snow. Good traction and I can feel the tires digging into the snow to give the car the grip it needed.

I feel really safe with these tires after 1500 miles, and I will absolutely get them again, and you cannot beat the price.

I may add to this, as we get more snow in the Northeast, also wanted to add great customer service from tire rack, because these tires were not in stock, or got back-ordered, and Tire rack kept me informed throughout the process

...Rather Meh on snow and packed snow. About what I''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''d expect from an All-Season tire. Ok for occasional snow but I would not want to drive these for an entire Michigan winter...

2006 Audi A4 B7 2.0T quattro 235k miles. Daily driver. Ada, Michigan (Grand Rapids).

Tires were shipped from Tire Rack Monday Feb 13.
Received Tuesday Feb 14 by installer.
Installed on my spare wheels Thursday Feb 16; the local Firestone store did a nice job mounting and balancing the tires while I went for breakfast (about an hour).
Ready for install on the car after the last forecast of snow, usually 2nd or 3rd week of March around here.

Review March 22, 2023:
I put the tires on the car last week then put on about 600 miles including a 360-mile trip up north and back. This was a good opportunity to evaluate the tires as travel conditions varied greatly. The trip began under sunny skies and temperatures near 60 deg. F. Later conditions turned to rain then overnight to snow with temps dropping into the teens. By the next morning about 6 inches of snow had fallen and most roads had gotten hard-packed and slippery followed by a slushy melt-off in the afternoon.

Pros:
-The Falkens are quick in the corners on dry roads. They complement the A4''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s precise handling very nicely.
-Nice ride. Cushioned feel. Not harsh.
-Quiet over uneven tar strips. No twangy drumming like our previous Pirelli P7''''''''''''''''s.
-Excellent on wet and slushy pavement.
-Track straight. Do not wander.

Middling:
-Neither loud nor quiet. Not the quietest I''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''ve owned yet not bothersome either. A little sing-songy on damp blacktop.

Cons:
-Minor tramlining on grooved pavement. Tolerable. Likely to subside with a little wear.
-Rather Meh on snow and packed snow. About what I''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''d expect from an All-Season tire. Ok for occasional snow but I would not want to drive these for an entire Michigan winter.

Overall impressions:
I like this tire. Works nicely as a summer tire for the A4. They ride nice and handle superbly.

...Great handling, very responsive in rain and icy road conditions. We haven't had any real snow to speak off but what we have had these tires work great

Was in need of tires do to pot hole damaging the sidewall on a DWS Continental tire. In the long run made better sense to replace all four for the coat of two tires. I have no regrets on switching to these. Great handling, very responsive in rain and icy road conditions. We haven't had any real snow to speak off but what we have had these tires work great

...Steering response, sharpness and predictability is great. Dry traction is very good.

Compared to stock michelin pilot all season, these are wider/taller tires (275/295 vs 255/275 stock) with more meat so the ride feels more cushioned than before and the tire sticks out beyond the wheel more, protecting from curb damage better.

Noise is noticeably worse than stock but it's not to the level of being a deal breaker.

Steering response, sharpness and predictability is great. Dry traction is very good.

...Outside of normal driving, they are fantastic for Autocross... Every lap I went down, either from a 50th of a second to a whole second on stock suspension, wheels, and with these tires...

I purchased the car with the tires; I did my research on them, figured they wouldn't be an issue, and I was right. The tires handled Lower Alabama roads very well, in almost any condition I put them through. Except for Snow, when it did snow here, I didn't drive my RS3 for many reasons. Outside of normal driving, they are fantastic for Autocross. Especially if you are just there to set times for yourself and to get better with every lap you take. Every lap I went down, either from a 50th of a second to a whole second on stock suspension, wheels, and with these tires. Just make sure you keep the tires cool. Once the tires became hot, I ended up drifting an AWD car on the track. All in all, great Tire and I look forward to purchasing another set once my current set is needed replacement

...They are very comfortable driving and are quiet on asphalt but create a little whir on cement highways...

I'm driving a modified Ford Explorer ST and it's putting down 540 AWHP, 620 if I put ethanol in the tank. These tires leave nothing to be desired in my opinion. With a vehicle that weighs 4,800+ lbs, I have yet to brake traction on corners and lets the ST handle as well if not better than the '89 Supra Turbo I had. Even with spirited driving, these tires easily lasted me 55,000 miles. (rated at 50,0000) They are very comfortable driving and are quiet on asphalt but create a little whir on cement highways.

I've owned quite a few brands of tires but not all. The Azenis impressed me enough where I returned for a second set. 'Nuff said! In the 2+ years I drove the first set, I'd only encountered a few snowfalls. With the average driver on 2 wheel drive vehicles, I wouldn't give a good snow rating but if you have 4 wheel drive and are snow experienced, you'll do fine with these. There's no tire that will perform as well as these and still be fully confident in snow. If you're in a climate that has marginal snowfall, these tires will be great for you if you're looking for a premium high performance tire.

Hope this helps.

...Comfort: Much nicer and quieter. Noticeable improvement...

I switched from Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 to these Falkens. Have a comparison between (worn) Michelin and Falken.
Steering Response: Slightly less responsive vs. Michelin.
Cornering: slightly better to (worn) Michelins.
Comfort: Much nicer and quieter. Noticeable improvement.
Thus overall happy. Especially since it's ~30% cheaper vs the comparable Michelins. If they wear better then this is a big win.
Choose them over the Michelins because they came our great both on TireRack and TireReviews. And are much cheaper for comparable performance. So far (with few miles on it) I am happy. Have not driven them in Winter/Snow conditions. Though I do have dedicated winter tires for deep winter, so it's winter performance only important to me for the bridge season with occasional adverse conditions.
