The Geolandar X-AT is Yokohama's Rugged All-Terrain tire for the drivers of pickup trucks, full-size SUVs, Jeeps and dedicated off-road vehicles who want a tire designed to blend the off-road capability and durability of a maximum traction tire with the on-road manners of an all-terrain tire.
Yokohama's HD-2 Off-Road Compound utilizes a Triple Polymer Blend for enhanced cut and chip resistance plus long-lasting wear. The innovative compound is molded into the aggressive, symmetric pattern of the Geolandar X-AT that features a Five Pitch Block Variation to help reduce drone and road noise for a quieter ride. ZigZag grooves are designed to disrupt airflow between the tread blocks to help further improve sound quality. Combination Grooves consist of sipes and narrow grooves in each block and are designed to provide wet weather traction, in addition to in snow and on slick rock. Angular, offset center blocks are engineered for strength and grip in challenging terrain, while the aggressive shoulder features varying length blocks to help with mud traction and stone ejection. Thick, over-the-shoulder sidewall protectors guard against punctures and impacts, and with a different design on each side, provide drivers the option to further customize their vehicle by mounting either the "Mesa"or "Summit" sidewall facing outward.
Geolandar X-AT tires utilize Yokohama's Geo-Shield™ Construction. Three polyester body plies wrap around a strong, hexagonal bead to form the tire's casing and create an elliptical contact patch that provides a balance of off-road traction and long, even wear. Two high-strength steel belts support the tread and are reinforced by a full-width nylon cap for further added durability.

...With a vehicle that weighs 4,800+ lbs, I have yet to brake traction on corners and lets the ST handle as well if not better than the '89 Supra Turbo I had...
I'm driving a modified Ford Explorer ST and it's putting down 540 AWHP, 620 if I put ethanol in the tank. These tires leave nothing to be desired in my opinion. With a vehicle that weighs 4,800+ lbs, I have yet to brake traction on corners and lets the ST handle as well if not better than the '89 Supra Turbo I had. Even with spirited driving, these tires easily lasted me 55,000 miles. (rated at 50,0000) They are very comfortable driving and are quiet on asphalt but create a little whir on cement highways.
I've owned quite a few brands of tires but not all. The Azenis impressed me enough where I returned for a second set. 'Nuff said! In the 2+ years I drove the first set, I'd only encountered a few snowfalls. With the average driver on 2 wheel drive vehicles, I wouldn't give a good snow rating but if you have 4 wheel drive and are snow experienced, you'll do fine with these. There's no tire that will perform as well as these and still be fully confident in snow. If you're in a climate that has marginal snowfall, these tires will be great for you if you're looking for a premium high performance tire.
Hope this helps.

...Outside of normal driving, they are fantastic for Autocross. Especially if you are just there to set times for yourself and to get better with every lap you take. Every lap I went down, either from a 50th of a second to a whole second on stock suspension, wheels, and with these tires...
I purchased the car with the tires; I did my research on them, figured they wouldn't be an issue, and I was right. The tires handled Lower Alabama roads very well, in almost any condition I put them through. Except for Snow, when it did snow here, I didn't drive my RS3 for many reasons. Outside of normal driving, they are fantastic for Autocross. Especially if you are just there to set times for yourself and to get better with every lap you take. Every lap I went down, either from a 50th of a second to a whole second on stock suspension, wheels, and with these tires. Just make sure you keep the tires cool. Once the tires became hot, I ended up drifting an AWD car on the track. All in all, great Tire and I look forward to purchasing another set once my current set is needed replacement

...The rear-end hooks up better than the prior set (Nittos) and the cornering balance seems pretty good.
As one or the more economical choices for a performance A/s for my Porsche Boxster, I have been very satisfied with this tire. The rear-end hooks up better than the prior set (Nittos) and the cornering balance seems pretty good.

...They're also more comfortable than previous tires I've used, and there was a noticeable improvement in ride quality when going over bumps and potholes...
Great tires, I got these for my Infiniti G37 coupe, and have been really happy with them. They’re a lot quieter than previous tires that I’ve had, but still have a great handling feel and performance. They’re also more comfortable than previous tires I’ve used, and there was a noticeable improvement in ride quality when going over bumps and potholes. I would definitely recommend these tires for a daily driver or car that does some light spirited driving. They’re quiet enough to daily, and also perform well enough to have some fun.
