The Ziex CT60 A/S is Falken's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for CUVs and SUVs, designed to accommodate the more diverse range of duties that modern crossovers perform. The Ziex CT60 A/S offers satisfying dry and wet performance, confident braking, as well as effective light snow traction.

Falken Ziex CT60 A/S callouts

The Ziex CT60 A/S's all-season 4D Nano tread compound is molded into an asymmetric pattern designed to deliver quiet on-road comfort. A wide footprint and a high rigidity outside rib enhance lateral traction and stability through turns in dry conditions. Falken's interlocking 3D Canyon Sipes within the shoulders provide strength and wear resistance for satisfying tread life. Four wide, circumferential grooves assist hydroplaning resistance by efficiently evacuating water from the footprint for secure contact with the road surface. The circumferential grooves work together with polygonal-shaped inside grooves and shoulder notches, which provide necessary biting edges, for confident all-season traction, even in light snow.

The internal construction of the Ziex CT60 A/S consists of a 2-ply polyester casing to help balance ride comfort and durability. The belt package features two high-tensile steel belts, as well as a polyamide reinforcement cap ply for stable high-speed performance.

Popular Tires for America's Most Popular Vehicles – 2025 Test 8 - With Winter Update(39:51)

The Crossover, or CUV, is hands-down the most popular vehicle in America. Last year in our CUV test, we used the Alfa Romeo Stelvio to test all-season and all-weather touring tires. This year, the field expanded to include all-terrain and performance truck products, representing the full range of tires drivers are installing on these vehicles. Obviously, with a test this diverse, it’s not so much about which one tire rises to the top, but rather how each category brings its own strengths to the table. When comparing multiple tires from one category, it's how they stack up against each other. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy Test 8!

...Excellent stopping wet or dry...

These Falkens give our RX300 a comfortable and confident ride. Excellent stopping wet or dry, ride quality is above average and is much better that the Bridge stones they replaced. My wife asked how I made her SUV ride so much better....that was good enough for me.

...The handling and wet weather performance is still excellent, though full-time awd gets part of the credit for that...

I'm unable to edit my previous review, where I was so unhappy about the noise/vibration, so this is a retraction of that complaint. I recently found out that one of my wheel bearings had apparently gone awry immediately prior to installation of these tires, so the lions share of noise and vibration came from the faulty bearing, not the tires. I can't speak to rolling resistance/fuel efficiency yet, but I'm assuming that it will be as greatly improved, especially at hight speeds, as was the noise. The handling and wet weather performance is still excellent, though full-time awd gets part of the credit for that. Have had the opportunity to drive on soft dirt/mud, and the tires handled admirably, though I didn't push my luck on that front. So depending on their performance on an upcoming 5000 mile road trip, I wouldn't hesitate to consider another set of these in the future.

I purchased these tires because it was on sale and because it’s a crossover specific tire. These tires are very quiet and comfortable. My steering feels like I’m in a different car (good thing). Takes bumps really well. We just had our first big (16”-18”) of snow and these tires did not disappoint. I was shocked how well they did for a touring tire. These thing grip quick when I was playing a little. Definitely will be purchasing these again in the future.

I definitely recommend these tires and I live in an area with bad winters (New England), no issues in the snow and ice.

I am about to buy another set, I have 45,000 miles on these ones and will still get another 2-3k easily. If I had rotated them I would be looking at another 5-10k but I forgot. I definitely recommend these tires and I live in an area with bad winters (New England), no issues in the snow and ice.

The handling, whether dry, wet, light snow, slightly icy, has all been excellent...

The handling, whether dry, wet, light snow, slightly icy, has all been excellent. I originally researched these tires with an eye towards better traction/stopping than the original tires. But while these features did not disappoint, it comes as a severe cost wrt noise, vibration, and rolling resistance/gas mileage, especially at higher speeds. At most speeds both above and below 50mph, mileage has decreased by as much as 10% , the buzz of the tires is relentless at even modest speeds. In cold weather, vibration is that much more evident and annoying. While I am aware that the hatchback configuration of the Outback does not make it particularly quiet, vibration was never evident, and these tires make it considerably noisier. I do feel a bit safer with these tires, but I already felt quite safe. I will definitely look to some other brand or model when I replace them.

...The handle well. I do not feel the slip/roll feeling that I was getting in the other. I am confident with these tires on the vehicle...

Compared to the Scorpions I had on the vehicle, these are amazing. Part of that could be the wear and years I had on the other pair and these being new. I did opt to get the small SUV/light truck tire this time with the Falken. Glad I did. I do feel the ride is smoother. The handle well. I do not feel the slip/roll feeling that I was getting in the other. I am confident with these tires on the vehicle. The tread pattern is nice. I have had some wet driving, but not enough to rate the tires for that. No hydroplaning issues at this point. They do seem quieter than the previous set. This is the first time I have purchased Falken for this vehicle. I did use a set of performance tires on a previous car. We will see how well these do over time. I am very happy with this purchase at this time, so I see no reason I would not purchase again.

...Over 35,000 miles, I've had 3 rotations, and I'd say the tires are close to done - mostly city driving with some freeway driving. I have about 1mm left before reaching the treadwear line. Tires lasted about 2 1/2 years. Not as impressed as I was hoping to be.
