Most customers rate dry traction between 7-10, with many 9s and 10s. The ZE001 delivers confident grip and responsive handling in dry conditions, performing excellently for crossover/SUV touring needs.

...Dry traction isn't bad at all for the 310ft-lbs of torque the 2.5Turbo has - it'll break them loose, but nothing excessive...
First, I'm the type of person who doesn't keep OE tires on my car. In fact, I cannot remember the last time I kept OE tires on a new car; they're normally gone in the first 1,000 miles of ownership. I am actually quite impressed by this tires. Mazda's are known for poor insulation and having more road noise than one would like. These tires actually do a great job staying quiet and do an awesome job at absorbing road noise, harshness, and vibration. Dry traction isn't bad at all for the 310ft-lbs of torque the 2.5Turbo has - it'll break them loose, but nothing excessive. Wet traction is quite pleasant as well. I have not experienced any significant hydroplaning that otherwise made me feel unsafe. I have no tried these in snow as I have winter tires for the New England parts.
I will say I've been quite pleased with these tires - shocking for as brutal ratings as I typically give tires. I'm not overly spirited in my driving. But for someone who enjoys and smooth and quite ride, these tires have been great for me. I would actually consider buying these again as shocking as that is for me to say. Treadwear seems fair for a softer tire - I'm confident I could get these to 30k miles safely after having already put 13k on them.
Driving around town and on the highway is silky smooth. Steering wheel has zero vibration, and chassis rides smooth. I should clarify I have all 4 tires roadforce balanced as I do with all of my tires.

...Feel and responsiveness are great...
Love these tires. They are oem from mazda. I have had no issues. They perform well in wet and light snowy conditions. I have not had any excessive wear or had any noise issues. They are not prone to hydroplaning. I can get them to chip under hard acceleration. Feel and responsiveness are great. It is interesting they went cuv tire for sedan.

Many customers rate ride comfort and noise levels between 7-10, highlighting a smooth, quiet experience ideal for crossover/SUV touring. High scores emphasize refined handling and reduced road noise in all-season conditions.

...These are terrific, great ride quality, not mushy, but not harsh and they are really quiet
I can’t talk about wear because I only have about 4000 miles on them. I will switch to snow tires soon because all season tires can’t compare to dedicated snow tires. I’ve actually raced both cars and motorcycles but all I can say is that at street legal speeds these tires seem fine for grip in wet or dry conditions. I’m a quick driver, but I don’t push things on public streets.
So why am I writing this review? One of my primary reasons for buying this tire was because it had such a high rating on road noise. They are really, really quiet. The original stock tires were annoying loud, the Bridgestones for my second set were worse. These are terrific, great ride quality, not mushy, but not harsh and they are really quiet

...Very quiet and comfortable ride...
27k miles on my Mazda6 and still going strong, 6/32" tread left. Rotated them twice before, every 10k miles or so. Very quiet and comfortable ride. Used them all year around in Southeastern Ontario, no issues if properly adapting the car's speed to the road conditions. Didn't drive them much in deep snow so I can't comment on that but good on dry, wet, slush and light snow. Very decent OEM tires from Mazda.

Wet traction shows mixed results with concerning scores (many 0-6). Some customers report a slippery feel and tendency to hydroplane, indicating mediocre wet performance for an All-Season tire. While some rate it 9-10, frequent low ratings highlight inconsistent wet grip.

Original tires for my car, worn down to 4/32 at only 20k so not much life left. Never had good hydroplaning resistance compared to literally every other tire I've ever experienced. They drive fine on dry pavement but it gets questionable quickly with anything other than dry. The winter handling is a joke, only time I ever experienced light ice or snow I started sliding through a very gradual curve. The ride quality is pretty good but they're noisy over rough pavement. I never drove super aggressively but it always felt like there wasn't as much grip through sharp curves or turns. I was never super impressed by how they drove but I wasn't bothered either. I expected to get more life out of them, I also experienced the excessive but even wear that many others talk about.

...Terrible tread life and wet traction...
Came as original equipment on my 2022 Forester. Terrible tread life and wet traction. Okay in the dry but nothing exceptional. With 13k on these I have the same amount of tread left as my wife's 2018 crosstrek with the OE Yokohama tires with 60k on them.

Winter traction is a major weakness, with many customers scoring 0-3 for snow/ice performance. Reports of sliding, getting stuck, and unacceptable grip dominate, despite scattered 5-7s. Poor in heavy snow and icy conditions.

...Absolutely horrible in wet and any form of snow. Almost didn't stop approaching an intersection after maybe 3 inches of snow at 10mph. That same day turning into a parking lot a just missed hitting the curb because these tires have zero grip...
Why Subaru puts these on any of their vehicles is beyond me. So much so that I have written to them telling them how they are doing their consumers wrong. Absolutely horrible in wet and any form of snow. Almost didn't stop approaching an intersection after maybe 3 inches of snow at 10mph. That same day turning into a parking lot a just missed hitting the curb because these tires have zero grip. All systems work overtime in my car in any sort of inclement weather. The kicker... They are over $200 per tire. Can't judge wear as I've already had to replace 2 of them due to road hazards. If you live where you get decent snowfall and own a Subaru go with an all weather tire such as Nokian or Vredstein. Both great tires. Stay away from these Falkens.

...These fail in snow/ice. I'm experienced in adverse driving... Today I ended up in a ditch on a snowy mountain road...
OK for commuting, but I don’t understand why you would put this tire on an AWD car…when you need AWD (like in snow and ice), you probably need traction. These fail in snow/ice. I’m experienced in adverse driving. I instruct at safe driving workshops. I drive race cars on track. Today I ended up in a ditch on a snowy mountain road. Going the same speed as the people in front of me. Don’t use these in snow/ice.

Treadwear ratings show mixed results with many customers scoring 0-6, reporting rapid wear and needing early replacement. While some give 9-10s, concerns about premature wear and below-expectation mileage dominate feedback for this all-season tire.

Terrible tread wear. The tires were always properly inflated and after only 20k miles they are already worn out. The comfort of these things is equivalent to riding on blown out tires. Every bump is felt. These came stock on the brand new vehicle. Handling in any precipitation is also very mediocre. These are advertised to last up to 60k and were probably in need of replacement at 15k. Terrible product.
