...road hugging and the wet traction is unbelievable...all the others would slip on wet roads when pulling out from inclined stops. these i have to fully tromp on the gas, and even then only occasionally get a fraction of slip. its like glue, honest...
I have used these on the wifes jeeps [3 0f them] so even at only 50 miles in i can confidently tell you how great these are in winter.first time on my truck though ,and it feels like i am driving on sneakers!smooth, quiet ,road hugging and the wet traction is unbelievable.since that first set on the wifes jeep , i knew i was never experimenting with any other tires.these tires ROCK !after 35 yrs of buying tires for my trucks and suv's i have never been as happy as with these.and i have tried dozens of brands and styles.all the others would slip on wet roads when pulling out from inclined stops.these i have to fully tromp on the gas,and even then only occasionally get a fraction of slip.its like glue, honest . if i could, i would buy a set for my riding tractor !only tire i am getting for life, period.

Just purchased these tires last week. Haven't had an opportunity to drive these tires in severe conditions just yet. On dry and wet pavement these tires are excellent with outstanding corning grip and are very quiet. Will review again in spring. This product is a winner so far.

...They have been excellent on dry, wet, snow and ice-covered roads. They work really well with my Explorer's traction control...
Bought these tires to replace the Michelins that my Explorer came with. They have been excellent on dry, wet, snow and ice-covered roads. They work really well with my Explorer's traction control. My wife even says that she drives speed limit even when there is heavy snowfall and she says she never feels like the vehicle skids or loses traction. The treadwear has been great. If I ever get a different truck or SUV, these are the tires that are going onto it no questions asked.

Most customers rate winter traction highly, with many scoring 9s and 10s in snow and deep snow. Ice traction is strong with scores 7-8, though a few note isolated concerns. The Destination A/T delivers confident grip in rugged winter conditions.

Replaced OEM Generals with these at 37000 miles. These tires are by far superior to the previous ones. We recently went to Colorado on a ski trip and drove up and down the mountain in heavy snow as well as snow packed and ice covered roads. There was no problem with these tires, not once did we slip or feel like we were not in control. There were cars all over in the ditch as we descended from Keystone, down the mountain out of Denver. As of this writing, I am very happy with these tires. It will be interesting to see if they wear well.

Excellent traction in snow and ice, when they do loose traction on ice its very predictable and controllable (caught in snow storm of 2009 in VA mounntains). Ride comfort is a little stiff and steering a little vague compared to other brands. Off road in sand and mud is good, not a dedicated off road tire but good for the casual off roader. Overall great tire at a good price for heavy fullsize trucks.

...Amazingly good street traction for an A/T tire. Good cornering grip, braking and acceleration...
'96 2 W.D. Cherokee with locking rear end. I'm on my second set of these and have been very happy. Amazingly good street traction for an A/T tire. Good cornering grip, braking and acceleration. Quiet and smooth on and off paved roads. Most of our driving is around town with occasional excursions far off the beaten path. They have taken us safely over hundreds of miles of 4x4 dirt, sand, gravel and washboard roads without a problem and never a flat. A couple observations; Off road they ride and function much better when aired down under 20 pounds. For MY vehicle (3000# Cherokee, manual trans, "lunch box" locker, 4.11 gears) the wear hasn't been that great, but they're so much fun, and have so much traction, I just can't help myself ;-) Also, when I ordered 235 x 75's TireTack called and pointed out that they would probably rub the control arms, which they do slightly and I was aware of beforehand, but that's good customer service! Always have been a big fan of the Firestone lineup for light trucks. This is my third set. Got this vehicle for my daughters from my brother, but I drive it everywhere. It handles great. The only complaint I have is that Firestone doesnt make the 33x12.50x17E that I want to put on my Ram 2500!

...The Firestone's were an immediate improvement in handling, comfort and noise...
I replaced the original BF Goodrich tires on the Xterra at about 41,000 miles. The Firestone's were an immediate improvement in handling, comfort and noise. Have driven them in dirt, rocky ground, light snow, heavy snow, rain and mud. They handled all conditions remarkably well for a street/all terrain compromise tire. They did require what I felt was a large amount of weight to balance, but did hold the balance well. The tread wear has been extremely good and wet traction has only diminished slightly over time. I recently had a puncture from what we believe was a very sharp rock while off-road in New Mexico. Since the current tires are "P" tires I may consider heavier but more durable "LT" type as a replacement.

I have owned many differnt AT tires over the years. These are one of the best. Road noise is almost none even with 285's. I went one size up. Great ride and Winter traction. Wearing great at 20k. Fantastic look. I will put a set on our Jeep Grand Cherokee in the future. Firestone tires...U.S.A. !!

...Quiet for an AT tire, excellent stability and cornering...
For any Sequoia owners, I actually went a slight size up to 265-70R17 with absolutely no problems at all. Great tires and great price. Great on Colorado bumpy roads and off the trail have never had an issue - including mud and snow. Quiet for an AT tire, excellent stability and cornering. Very Pleased. I cannot recommend enough to go slightly up in the aspect ratio (from 65 to 70) - the tires are actually cheaper, and look better on the Sequoia.

Best tire I have ever purchased. No road noise, wears perfectly, great traction in all conditions. Highly recommended. Rotated tires every 4,000 miles and they have lasted 40,000 miles and will probably last another 5,000 at least. Well worth the price, cheaper than Michelin and will last just as long.

Have had these on for three winters , great traction in the Sierra Slush , excellent wear they still are 6/32" . no noise on dry payment and excellent panic stopping and steering control to avoid deer's . Only down side and it's minor one , they are stiff ride .I am going to put them on my GMC H.D. when the BF Goodrich AT wear out .

...Dealer said my tires still have 80% of tread left. I rotate my tires every 5K.
This is a much better tire then the OEM Goodyear Wrangler SR-A tires that came with the truck. Given the nominal price difference, I think these should be the OEM tires. I actually sold the OEM tires and bought these for only $200 more. Great ride in all conditions and great in snow when I go on bush roads in winter. Dealer said my tires still have 80% of tread left. I rotate my tires every 5K.
