Does this tire fit your vehicle?

Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

The Firestone Destination LE2, Firestone's Highway All-Season tire, was developed for the drivers of light-duty pickups, vans, crossovers and sport utility vehicles. It is designed to combine long wear, a comfortable ride and all-season traction, even in light snow.

The Destination LE2 uses a silica-enhanced light truck compound molded into a symmetric tread design that helps grip the road in dry, wet and wintry conditions. Notched shoulder blocks backed by continuous ribs work together to promote dry road handling, even wear and long treadlife. Circumferential and sweeping grooves across the tire's footprint help evacuate water to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. Cross grooves, stepped inside shoulder rib notches and zigzag sipes provide biting edges that promote traction in snow.

The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon to provide strength, uniformity and durability on top of a polyester cord body that helps cushion the ride.

...Wet traction isn't bad, but I've noticed it's not as good as the tires have rolled up the miles...

These tires were OEM on my 2021 Jeep Cherokee, which I purchased a few years ago. They now have 48k on them and are down to about 3.5/32. I could easily get another 5-8k out of these before replacing. I rotate these every 5k with oil changes and they are wearing evenly. I've been very happy with the way they have performed.

Living in NE Ohio, we get some snow occasionally and these do well in winter conditions as well as on dry pavement. Wet traction isn't bad, but I've noticed it's not as good as the tires have rolled up the miles. Road noise is minimal and ride comfort is very good, which makes for a great commute to work. They are plush without being unresponsive. I wouldn't hesitate to put on a second set when the time comes to replace them.

...They handle well in both dry and wet conditions...

The purchase was for an exact replacement of the oem tires for a spare. The oem LE2's look like they have minimal wear for 16k miles. They handle well in both dry and wet conditions. Have not been off-road with them to speak of so I can't comment on how they perform under those conditions.

...Wet traction is awesome through about 25 - 30k...

These were OEM on my 2017 Ridgeline AWD. I also purchase a new set of takeoffs, and have 83,000 miles combined for both sets.
Treadwear is below average, at 40 - 45K.
Dry handling is fair, with good traction, but mushy steering response, especially in slalom or emergency conditions.
Wet traction is awesome through about 25 - 30k, then diminishing with treadwear. Responsive steering is again, somewhat mushy.
Snow performance is great, but i believe this is more due to the truck than the tire.
Noise and comfort are top notch.
Overall, a good OEM tire if you can deal with the low treadwear.

2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Famous for sliding on snow and ice , but only with the 'wrong' tires. OK. I needed new tires. The House of Tires (over 30 years of services ) instantly put Four Firestone Destination LE2 on my perfectly white Cherokee sport and it NEVER SLID AGAIN in rain, slush, snow. I am always careful when I know I'm on ice. This was the unexpected luxury : I felt like I was in a 1970's GM sedan on the highway - smooth and quiet with Destination LE2 tires. That Jeep has tinted windows, vent shades, CD player, clean fabric seats and carpets, covered spare inside, power doors and windows, rear wiper, defoggers, fantastic speakers front and back, folding back seat puts it on the edge of a small enclosed pick-up, and the 4.0-liter, 190 horsepower 'at 4,600 rpm and 225 foot-pounds of torque at 3,000 rpm' made the straight 6 costly to fuel BUT it was reportedly able to tow more than any other 4x4 ( 'Army Jeep') .. and it IS A FAST 4x4. I sold it 'NEW' - 160,000 miles on it (maybe half of it's total mileage) - because I, a woman, am too tall to sit in its cozy interior. I loved the way the Firestone Destination LE2 tires recreated my relationship with that Jeep. I miss it. The Jeep Cherokee Sport, 2001. R.I.P. - L.I. and N.Y.S.

These came on the truck when it was new, they performed well in heavy snow, ice, rain and provided a quiet comfortable ride on the highway for long trips. I am still at 5/32 with 53,000 Miles on the vehicle. They have never skipped a beat and never been stuck ! Just ordered another set to put on this winter ! I have the vehicle serviced every 5,000 miles tires rotated and have only had them balanced once.

OEM tire on my Honda Ridgeline and I have been most impressed by its smooth, quiet ride and great snow traction. This past winter I drove in blizzard conditions (and this was with 25k miles on the tires) and there was nary a slip or slide. Passed many SUV's and pickup trucks that were stuck on the side of the road.

...Dry traction is as expected...

I bought these tires to replace the stock Continentals, which I suffered through for way too long. The Destination LE2 make the CR-V ride smooth as silk and relatively quiet, especially on the highway. Dry traction is as expected, wet traction is fantastic. I wish I had bought these long ago.

These tires have been outstanding. I have 58,000 miles on them in 9 years time and the tires still have 4 and 5/32 on them. The rubber is holding up well. The car is garaged most of the time when at home so that may be extending the life of the rubber. I have been pleased with the handling and felt the noise level is equal or slightly better than the original Toyo's that were replaced. I have only exceeded this mileage on another car that weighed 1/3 the weight of the Highlander, and those included rotating the spare with the other tires, which were Michelins. Firestone has earned my trust for a reliable tire.
