...The snow and ice performance surprised me the most- it's comparable to an older snow tire. I live on a very steep road and have a very steep driveway, and am able to back out of my driveway and drive up the road in 2WD with a dusting or a foot of snow on the ground. They STRONGLY resist hydroplaning in deep snow and slush at highway speeds and provide great directional control and braking on hard packed snow and ice...

I've had these on my Sequoia for about 5500 miles and have driven them around town, on the highway, deep and shallow snow, mud, rocks, sand and dirt, and they're the best all around MT tire I've had in nearly 20 years of using this type of tire. The snow and ice performance surprised me the most- it's comparable to an older snow tire. I live on a very steep road and have a very steep driveway, and am able to back out of my driveway and drive up the road in 2WD with a dusting or a foot of snow on the ground. They STRONGLY resist hydroplaning in deep snow and slush at highway speeds and provide great directional control and braking on hard packed snow and ice. These things are monsters in winter conditions! Off road, I run 13 PSI and between these tires, the ATRAC system and my rear locker, I have never been left for want of traction. Truthfully, if I could run low range in 2WD, that's all I'd need for most of the wheeling I do. Their noise level, or lack thereof is equally surprising. They're only *slightly* louder than the highway tires that were on the truck when I bought it. Again, comparable to snows in their noise. Dry street performance is good, but I drive it as if it's a truck, not a sports car. If you're buying a mud tire for the looks with no intentions of ever using it, get the cheapest one you can find or with whatever tread pattern blows your skirt up. But if you want a mud tire that will be more than just functional in all conditions, these guys are the ticket. I will continue to buy these until they wear the molds out.

...They clean themselves well in mud and they grip in snow...

This is the third set of these particular tires I have had on my truck. Awesome traction and wear without the noise typically associated with tires like this. They clean themselves well in mud and they grip in snow. This is my go to tire.

...Good pavement traction wet or dry...

TLDR - Great value product for mixed driving. QUIET.

These are quieter than many ATs I drive and I drive a lot of vehicles. Mine are mounted on 9" beadlocks, so 10" effective width - they live at 25psi on pavement and run square. When I first mounted them I laughed a bit at how skinny they looked - but they measure a full width. they just don't balloon out like many others. Good pavement traction wet or dry. We don't get snow so I can't speak to that. Stiff sidewalls. My 6k lb truck doesn't appear aired down until at 12psi or less. I'm on locks so I'm at 8 or less off pavement. Plan to run a few psi lower than normal to get them to spread out. Mine see lots of wheel spin with aggressive driving in rocks - chunking is present but minimal considering the usage. Same for tread cutting. Tread shows use but has been durable. Sidewalls have taken their shots and initially I gave them grief over how smooth the walls are. I haven't cut or pinched one yet. It seems the compound is especially abrasion resistant and as there are no lugs to grab on, lead to less sidewall ripping. Its a tradeoff. For my use, I see the upside. Get them hot and they shed rubber usefully. Not like a sticky, it's something different. The melt has a different smell, and if you hit the rubber while it's warm the truck hooks up. Curious for a DOT product.

...They are much quieter than i expected. They ride very smooth and responsive...

37" x 13.5" is a really big tire, and these are on my classic H2. I wasn't planning to get such an aggressive tread after my previous set of Cooper SST MT wore out,
but the TireRack price on these last set of Firestones was so good that i couldn't pass them up.
The 4 tires were shipped to my home, wrapped and in pristine condition.
They're made in USA.
They balanced nicely on my Fuel rims.
They are much quieter than i expected.
They ride very smooth and responsive.
The large tread block looks awesome on just about any vehicle.
I don't drive the truck much, so these tires should last the next ten or more years-!

...The M/T 2 tires are much quieter than the M/T 1 tires ever were. They also are much better on the highway. Steering response is much better and they ride and drive better...

I don't drive my truck much, only when I actually need a truck, maybe 1000 miles per year on average over the last several years. Consequently my previous set of Firestone Destination M/T 1 tires were still at 50% tread when I decided to replace them because of degradation due to age. I replaced them with a new set of Firestone Destination M/T 2 tires. The M/T 2 tires are much quieter than the M/T 1 tires ever were. They also are much better on the highway. Steering response is much better and they ride and drive better. At the same time they are at least as good and maybe better than the M/T 1 tires off road, especially in the mud. I have started driving my truck more frequently because we have started towing our new Roxor to off-road parks. I am very pleased and impressed with the Firestone Destination M/T 2 tires. I would definitely buy them again if I were to live that long.

...I never keep a tire that's worn below 5/32nds so I change my tires more often than most folks. I usually get 26,000 to 28,000 miles before I change tires which is pretty good considering my truck has 500 hp and 1000 lb ft of torque pulling a 14,000 lb trailer...

This is my fourth set of Firestone Destination MT/2 tires. I live in Northwest, Wyoming where conditions can be extreme. These have been the best tires I've ever run off road. I pull a Living Quarters Horse Trailer over mountain passes and on some pretty nasty dirt roads. These Firestones are amazing in off road conditions. They excel in mud and snow and have very nice highway manners as well. They are a bit noisy as they wear down but all MTs are. My only complaint is they don't wear as well as an all terrain. I never keep a tire that's worn below 5/32nds so I change my tires more often than most folks. I usually get 26,000 to 28,000 miles before I change tires which is pretty good considering my truck has 500 hp and 1000 lb ft of torque pulling a 14,000 lb trailer. In my opinion these are the best Mud Terrain tires money can buy.
