Standard Touring All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of sporty appearance, long wear, predictable handling and S- or T-speed rated durability, along with all-season traction including in light snow. Standard Touring All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on sporty coupes and sedans.
O.E. Standard Touring All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

For most drivers, a tire that offers good traction, comfortable ride and reasonable treadlife is a good fit. Many Passenger or Standard Touring All-Season tires are designed to deliver exactly that.
We recently compared the new Goodyear Assurance All-Season to others in this category: Firestone FR710, General AltiMAX RT43 and Yokohama AVID Ascend.
Feedback consistently shows the Firestone FR710 excels in dry traction (frequent 9-10 scores) with responsive steering and stable cornering, aligning with its Standard Touring All-Season role. Treadwear receives strong praise, with many noting impressive tread life. Comfort stands out for smooth ride quality and low noise. Wet traction earns positive marks for reliable grip, though some report hydroplaning concerns in heavy rain. Winter performance is mixed, with snow traction rated adequately by some but ice traction drawing lower scores (often 1-5), highlighting limitations in harsh winter conditions. Overall, it delivers dependable all-season touring performance, prioritizing dry-road confidence and comfort while requiring caution in icy environments.

...These handle great in dry, wet, and snow...
I bought my jeep with 42,000 miles on it and I have 108,500 now. I did all those miles in 13 months of driving. I mostly drive highway but am also in the city as well. I have to say they've held up pretty nicely with treadwear. I'm still driving with them. I can easily out another 10-20k miles on them which is what I am planning on doing before I buy another set of 4 tires. These handle great in dry, wet, and snow. I was surprised how well they handled on 4wd in the snow with barely any tread left on them. I never drive them in the snow with full tread. They did pretty well considering how much treat I have left this past winter. I'm another note since I do a lot of driving highway and city, they do take a beating. They are not the most durable. What I mean by that is I've had to replace 2 tired so far due to gashes from crap on the roads. I do drive in the city with a lot of potholes and i have a little more weight on the rear due to tools etc. I think these would perform great on a car and even a light suv like mine for normal driving. For a light suv if you do a lot of miles I would recommend a light suv tire. I'm going to the Firestone Destination LE2 in a couple of months. The reviews for those tires are great and if it's anything like these I'll have nothing to worry about. I need better thickness on the tire sidewalls for city driving and an all season that will last me 60k miles +. I know I will get 90kmiles on these tires and not has a lot to do with the frequency of tire rotation and keeping the right tire pressure. Tire pressure should be checked weekly although I've done it about 1-2 times a month. Loved theses tires. Would buy again if I didn't need a more load, heavier duty tire for the amount of driving I do. Hope this helps. I'll be doing a review on the Destination LE2 at about 30k and again on 60k.

...They do very good in the rain but we have had slush and it also drives well if you drive at the proper speed...
I have only had these tires a few months (Firestone FR 710. I had the Solus when I first got my van it made a lot office and was not good in wet weather. I read the reviews and thought I would take a chance and glad I did. As I said only had them a few months and have gone out of town twice and they really drive well. They do very good in the rain but we have had slush and it also drives well if you drive at the proper speed. We have not had any sticking snow so I can't rate that. On dry street normal speed and a little faster the tires are great. I do reccomend and will purchase them again.

...Excellent handling for a typical family car tire and good traction in snow...
Fleet car application; probably 75% highway miles over a 23 month period. By upwards of 20K miles, THE longest wearing tire I've had in 30+ years of car ownership (rotated every other oil change). Excellent handling for a typical family car tire and good traction in snow. Never a question that I'd replace the OEM's with the identical aftermarket model. Everyone's experience is different, but the FR710 gets my absolute highest possible recommendation.

...Compared to the roar of the Firehawk GT, the FR710 is whisper quiet and smooth as glass...
I do a LOT of driving with my Accord. I usually go through a set of tires in about a year, so I've had plenty of time to evaluate them over the long term. This is the second set of FR710 that I've put on my car. The first set wore well, even tread wear, decent traction, acceptable road noise. My only complaint is the deep snow/ice traction. It could be better, but that would require a more aggressive tread and would result in more road noise. Compared to the roar of the Firehawk GT, the FR710 is whisper quiet and smooth as glass. It is a budget tire, so I don't expect it to perform as well or be as quiet as more premium tires (like Michelin). It is a good bang for the buck tire.

Treadwear has been great (80,000 +)! Gas milage (highway) has been great (34.5 avg)! Smooth and quiet, but not the best tire when it rains. I only rotated this tire once. Would buy again.

Winter traction receives concerning ratings, with many scores between 0-5. Customers report lack of snow traction, slippery conditions, and getting stuck despite being an all-season tire. Some note dangerous ice performance and sketchy handling in winter weather.

They were fine when new although I would say they minimally qualify as all season. Comfortable ride without a lot of noise. Traction dropped off in the rain by 20,000 miles and in snow they went from passable to dicey. At 40,000 miles they have lost almost all tread depth and must be replaced. If I got the promised tread life I would have rated them higher.
