Firestone  FR710

On my new 2012 Chevy Cruze LS in Southeast Florida. These tires are great in terms of ride noise and road sticking on dry pavement. Very impressed for a standard all season tire. Handles the rain well too. Can't speak to the treadlife yet, but will probably last around 30k-40k miles in real-world hot pavement driving. great all around tire for the person that obeys speed limits on a 4 cyl car.

I bought my jeep with 42,000 miles on it and I have 108,500 now. I did all those miles in 13 months of driving. I mostly drive highway but am also in the city as well. I have to say they've held up pretty nicely with treadwear. I'm still driving with them. I can easily out another 10-20k miles on them which is what I am planning on doing before I buy another set of 4 tires. These handle great in dry,wet, and snow. I was surprised how well they handled on 4wd in the snow with barely any tread left on them. I never drive them in the snow with full tread. They did pretty well considering how much treat I have left this past winter. I'm another note since I do a lot of driving highway and city, they do take a beating. They are not the most durable. What I mean by that is I've had to replace 2 tired so far due to gashes from crap on the roads. I do drive in the city with a lot of potholes and i have a little more weight on the rear due to tools etc. I think these would perform great on a car and even a light suv like mine for normal driving. For a light suv if you do a lot of miles I would recommend a light suv tire. I'm going to the Firestone Destination LE2 in a couple of months. The reviews for those tires are great and if it's anything like these I'll have nothing to worry about. I need better thickness on the tire sidewalls for city driving and an all season that will last me 60k miles +. I know I will get 90kmiles on these tires and not has a lot to do with the frequency of tire rotation and keeping the right tire pressure. Tire pressure should be checked weekly although I've done it about 1-2 times a month. Loved theses tires. Would buy again if I didn't need a more load, heavier duty tire for the amount of driving I do. Hope this helps. I'll be doing a review on the Destination LE2 at about 30k and again on 60k.

I have only had these tires a few months (Firestone FR 710. I had the Solus when I first got my van it made a lot office and was not good in wet weather. I read the reviews and thought I would take a chance and glad I did. As I said only had them a few months and have gone out of town twice and they really drive well. They do very good in the rain but we have had slush and it also drives well if you drive at the proper speed. We have not had any sticking snow so I can't rate that. On dry street normal speed and a little faster the tires are great. I do reccomend and will purchase them again.

These tires came with my car when I purchased it used. They had to have had around 5,000 miles on them at the time.

This tire is rated as a passenger all season tire. As expected it performs as such. I drive spirited every so often and I knew how this tire would respond. Having had them for around 4 years they are predictable.

The good. These tires have phenomenal treadwear. At 38,000 or so miles I have around 4-5/32s left still. These are "Uni-T" so they have been consistent since when they were new. These tires are also decently quiet and comfortable. My car does not have much sound deadening but these tires are not loud or bumpy in any way. The dry traction of these tires is also pretty good for the type of tire. My 126HP Corolla can spin them up in the dry but only if I try. But these are not some sor of max performance tire either. Also these tires have not caused me any pull or vibrations since I have had them. They road force average and are smooth.

My single and largest negative for this tire has to be the wet traction. I can spin these things in any kind of wet starting. I can roll at 15 MPH in 2nd gear and if I floor the gas my 126HP 104,000 mile Corolla will start spinning. When driving in the wet they are not dangerous but you will need to keep an eye on your surroundings and take extra care when driving. Hydroplaning was also noticeable but again nothing tha means these are dangerous. But since I have had them for so long I knew exactly what they would do when they did it. There were no surprises or confusion.

I have not had these tires in snow or ice so I can't rate them there. For a diligent driver who pays extra attention in the wet and wants a well priced, long lasting, affordable tire. I don't know of much that is better. If you are focused on wet grip and spirited driving well then you shouldn't be looking at this class of tire anyway.

All in all if I was on a budget I would buy these again.

The tires got very loud over time. They sound like a truck tire at low speed and hum loudly at highway speeds.
Thraction is good but handling is much worse than Bridgestone tires that I had on the car previously.

Treadwear has been great (80,000 +)! Gas milage (highway) has been great (34.5 avg)! Smooth and quiet, but not the best tire when it rains. I only rotated this tire once. Would buy again.

Just replaced the OEM Firestone tires with another set at 61,000 miles. Tires were quiet except for the last couple of thousand miles, grip is ok for low rolling resistance.Please with these which is why I bought the same again. Good price

These tires came on my car and now have over 100000 miles on them with decent tread left! I drive about 100 miles daily, pretty much all highway and I'm amazed at how well they have lasted. Going to be buying another set just like them this fall!

When I bought my "new" used vehicle the dealership informed me that they had installed a brand new set of Firestone FR710.
To my astonishment the tires offer a limited grip on the dry.
I can hear them squeal when I accelerate or turn (and I accelerate and turn like a normal person and not like a wannabe Schumacher).
I would say they handle ok on dry maybe slightly under the average tire. They'll do the job for your daily needs.However, I have the feeling that when I turn I'm driving on the sidewall sometimes.
My biggest disappointment so far was on the snow. These tires are a BIG no no on the snow.
I live in MI and I spun as I exited a parking lot and onto the main street (180degrees), luckily there was no traffic. There wasn't much snow as it just started snowing. So I would say there was a very thin layer of snow on the road which apparently was enough to make me lose control of the vehicle. Since then I take our second vehicle when it is snowy out.
On the wet, you should be fine on the straight but you can definitely feel a huge difference in the handling. I drive very defensively in wet conditions and adjust my speed accordingly. Hydroplaning resistance is good, but traction is poor especially when turning/accelerating. Despite my efforts to keep the car straight, I felt the back sliding just a bit when making a right or a left at stop light. Accelerating from 0mph is a challenge too as the tires just spin for about a second or two.
Other than that the tires are not excessively loud and they make a comfortable ride, they just need more grip on the wet and especially on the snow!!!
If you live in an area where it snows during winter time I would strongly suggest that you reconsider your choice and chose another set of all-season tires.

Easily the scariest tire I have ever driven in snow or ice and I lived 40 years where the winter lasts 6 months.

These tires are by far the worst set I've ever had.
They came with the car so I figured I might as well use them. But only 15Kmiles after using them I'm about to get a new set of all-season tires.
The tread wear is fairly even and there's plenty of it left.
I just happen to like staying alive and would like to live for a while longer.
I'm going to make this very simple, whenever I'm driving on snowy/icy roads OR wet roads I fear for my life!!!
This is just how bad these tires are. I spun out at 10mph taking a Michigan left hand turn (thanks --- there was no traffic).
If you accelerate (very very slowly that is) in the wet the tires will simply spin like crazy for no reason.
WORST!!! Switching lane is life threatening with these tires on. If you switch lane and one of your tires drives over the lane you will lose your grip and the tire will behave funky until you take full control of the vehicle again!!!
The grip on snow is non-existent. In my experience it is a big 0 on snow and ice.
Just the other day, it snowed for maybe 2 hours, there was barely any snow on the ground, my car couldn't make it past a silly roundabout. I was doing less than 5mph wheels turned ALL the way, and it barely even turned.
On the wet, you can feel the car losing grip even in slight curves.
In the wet, to take a tight corner come to a full stop then proceed to turning if you don't want to end up on the wrong side of the road.
The rollover resistance is extremely low, so low it's scary!
I'm an experienced driver and have quite a bit of track time as well.

These tires are going to be a driver's death sentence.

Do not buy these, unless you live somewhere sunny and dry 365/365!!! However, should you have only ONE day of rain per year wherever you live, I would consider another set of tires.

Embrace life and get something else.
