Firestone FT140 All Season Car & Crossover Tire in 205/65R16

I've never had a issues with these tires, after 29000 miles they still look new. They are on the louder size. Solid traction in the winter. Solid traction in the rain.

Found tires somewhat noisy for 1st 500 miles but they seem fine now. Handling very good to excellent in dry conditions. Haven't pushed it extremely hard in wet conditions and haven't noticed any slippage or hydro plaining in heavy rain at speeds up to 70mph. Consider these tires the best OEM tires I have ever had. I usually drive on Michelin all weather tires. So far these Firestones seem about equal. Will update after the 2017/2018 winter season

These tires have been great. We live in Florida and mostly highway miles.
Currently at 105,000, ready to buy another set of the same tires.
No complaints with traction wet or dry.

Came here to counter the remarks of the other late model Civic owners. I've found this tire to exceed my OEM expectations. I drive twisty roads in hills with enthusiasm and have not heard the tires squeal. The road feel and car dynamics are always positive and sharp. When the expressway is new and smooth the tires are very quiet- and when the pavement is old or rough, yes, I hear it loud and clear. Again, its the condition of the ROAD that affects noise. Mileage: on a 3200 mile road trip I averaged 41.5 mpg, so yes, a very efficient tire. I can't comment on snow or ice as I don't encounter those elements.

Compare this to my former '15 Civic EXL with 17" Michelin Primacy tires- that was a nervous, buzzy ride and made much more noise on the freeway- but maybe that was partly the car as the 10th gen is heads above the 9th in design. Bottom line is I read the negative reviews and wonder if people have an automatic bias against Firestone like I did before I got this car and actually lived with the tires. They are not sexy looking and appear mundane, but I would buy again based on real world driving.

Came stock on our new Civic coupe. My daughter drives it and I warned her as yesterday was her first real experience driving in the snow and ice and it was especially slick. First of all I amazed to how well the Civic drives and goes down the road. In my opinion the suspension tuning is at and beyond many cars that cost more than twice as much. In the dry I find it amazingly easy to pitch this car into turns at the limit and it's easy. So the tires are not bad at all. To me the tires look like they would be OK most of time in the slick. I took it out for spin last night and it was OK but for my daughter I'm going to re-shoe. This is coming from a guy who spent 6 daily driving years behind the wheel of a 2002 911 C2 coupe with Blizzaks, amazingly fun set up. Once ripped around a frozen lake with 3 inches of perfectly smooth fresh pow!

OEM tires. Very happy with dry feel, traction, and noise. Just now getting noticeable noise. I take care of them by rotating every 5000 miles. First set of any brand OEM tires that I have achieved this kind of mileage wear. Not down to wear bars yet, but low enough tread that I will have to replace them for this winter. Not good snow traction unless brand new on these.

New tires on a 2017 Impreza Limited. About time that Firestone had a tire to compete with the other big boys. Time will
tell if these tires live up to their competition (Pirelli, Michelin, Continental). Car is new to me, but ride comfort and noise
level seems OK to very good, nothing horrible or harsh really in my opinion.

Handling is very good and responsive, have not driven in any sort
of very bad weather yet. I am optimistic that these tires will perform fairly well for some time to come.

Handling is very good but these tires are brand new and car is AWD with excellent handling characteristics,
so 4 cinder blocks would probably be fine on this car. Time will tell.

Bought two tires as replacements for OEM due to tire damage from an accident. The original OEM were very good in day to day driving and I saw no reason to switch brands. The ride comfort is good in this small compact type vehicle and rides quiet unless the road has a lot of cross graining. We seldom see any snow and very little ice in my part of the country (central Louisiana) so did not rate them for those categories.

Comfortable as long as you're going in a straight line. Very balloon like in corners, bouncy and unpredictable behavior.

I bought my 2016 Civic EX-L in April of 2016 and after nearly 2 years and 77,000+ miles the OEM Firestone FT140s tires are still performing and have enough tread left to not need replacement, yet. Granted, not a lot of tread, maybe another 3,000 to 6,000 miles, but they're still good and it just snowed about 4 inches this morning and I found traction to be normal. I drive a combination of Interstate and surface streets, I watch tire pressures and rotate and balance every 8-10 thousand miles... and I don't do the "boy racer" thing screaming around corners. Pretty honest driving. When I bought the Civic I thought I'd be buying a new set around the 50,000 mark but I have been totally surprised by the tread wear. I normal buy Michelins, Pirellis or Continentals but I plan to buy another set of FT140s for the next set. They are not the quietest tires I have ever had but I would rather have a slightly noisy tire from the 50K to 70K mark than one that has no tread left after 40,000. It's all about trade-offs. Pick yours.

These are the original OEM tires on my 2018 Civic sedan EX-T. I've got over 46k on them already and going by the looks of the tread depth I'll get another 30k out of them. I bought this car for work, as an economy car, and I drive it as such. I get paid by the hour when I'm working so the longer the trip takes, the more I get paid for it. Also, it's nice to stretch the measly payment I get per mile as far as it'll go, so the better the gas mileage is on the car the further that money goes. The car gets driven gently. I'm in Minnesota, and last winter had a lot of snow and I never got stuck. Don't get me wrong, they're not great snow tires. In fact they'll spin even with my admittedly gentle foot on the throttle. But keeping their limitations in mind and adjusting the driving style made them acceptable tires in the snow when they had plenty of tread. Now the tread is over half gone so this winter I plan on getting dedicated snow tires (Michelin X-Ice) on a set of 15" rims and keep this FT140 set mounted on it's 17" rims for next summer, and then replace them next fall. (Reason for going with 15" rims/tires for the winter: 15" tires are much cheaper, and the bigger sidewall flexes better to absorb potholes. Additional plus is not having to remount/balance the whole set every spring & fall which saves more money.) Added benefit is rotating the tires is easier in the garage when done one tire at a time, rather than jacking up the whole car to do the 4-tire rotate.

These are the original tires that came with the car. I cross rotate them every 10k and commute (highway) 105 miles a day to work. At 100k they aren't even close to the wear indicator. You can't go wrong with these tires. I still don't understand how these tires are holding up as well as they are, but I'm not complaining. I just turned 105k. I'm looking at prices because I'm thinking they with need to be replaced at some point.

I have these tires on a company vehicle. Luckily they are not on my personal vehicle. I really can't recommend them. In the dry they are okay. In emergency braking though at highway speeds, the car squirms all over the place. Feels like you are going to lose control of it. Wet traction is okay. Snow? Fuggedaboudit. These are worthless in the snow. I suppose if the road is flat and straight then it's okay. If you have to stop on any sort of incline in the snow, you're stuck.

Now you're that guy in traffic that everyone hates. You sit there spinning your wheels as everyone drives by, honks and flips you off. You now wish you were never born. Your boss if probably considering firing you and your wife now wants a divorce. All because you have these tires on your vehicle.

If it's a very light powder snow and less than an inch, you will probably survive. If it's slush or a wet snow or any ice, you're done. Last snow fall I had to park the car in a grocery store lot and have my wife come get me. Car wouldn't make it up any hills. Got it stuck once as traffic was stopping for someone else that got stuck. Took a whole lot of flooring to get it out, but I managed. People still flipped me off.

If you live in a warm climate where it doesn't snow then I'd give these a 'maybe'. If you get any sort of snow or any chance you will get snow, pass and spend more money on something better. Buy once cry one.

Not good in ice and slick snow. I've gotten stuck twice on the very slight hill I live on because these just do not have any traction in slick conditions, especially if you have to come to a full stop. Fine in all other conditions though. I haven't found myself hydroplaning at all in the almost 3 years I've had them.

I know they get bad snow reviews but they are surprising terrible in mild snow and ice. Struggled in our hilly driveway, needed extra sand, beyond what you think
